Qué esperar
En esta excursión de día completo, partirá de Linz en dirección a Mondsee. Este pueblo a orillas del lago tiene un toque de magia hollywoodiense: su iglesia fue la protagonista de Sonrisas y lágrimas. Después de empaparse del clásico telón de fondo de los Alpes austriacos, continuará hacia Salzburgo para realizar una visita guiada por su casco antiguo, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, y visitar lugares como el Palacio de Mirabell, la Plaza de Mozart y la Catedral de Salzburgo. Esta obra maestra barroca se alza orgullosa en el centro de la ciudad desde el siglo XVII. También se adentrará en la casa natal de Mozart para conocer los primeros años de este compositor de fama mundial. Antes de regresar a Linz, dispondrá de tiempo libre para tomar un café o almorzar, pasear por la principal calle comercial de Salzburgo, la Getreidegasse, o degustar un Mozartkugel, el dulce de chocolate típico de la ciudad. Para que lo sepa, el trayecto de Linz a Mondsee dura unos 90 minutos.

Great day out, visited Mondsee on the way, lovely village by the lake, (visited church from Sound of Music). Enjoyed the visit to Salzburg, the guided tour was very interesting.

Coach was clean and warm and an excellent driver. Guide, was excellent- very informative and friendly. Only criticism was the fact the tour was on a Sunday and apart from eateries and museums, all the shops were closed.

The overall cruise experience was fantastic and great value for money. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and service great. I would recommend a Tui river cruise to anyone.

The tour itinerary was overall very good but let down by the tour guide who gave us to much information at one go. She set off at such a pace without ever checking all her group were with her. The city was busy and one of the group got separated. When she was told she simply said in an annoyed tone " he has my phone number" and went to walk off. She showed no sympathy to the mans wife who was very distressed and had to be comforted by the rest of the group. The man rang her and she was rude!

The arrangement ultimately was far to rushed, the initial stop at Monpass (Sic) was great but not enough time, then no break but straight into the tour at Salzburg, more thought should be given to lunch either on the bus or before start of tour. Our initial guide Magda was good but the tour of Salzburg was split up and was frankly boring and repetitive the guide offering little insight . Sorry.

Loved the lake – would have liked a half-hour longer there and a half-hour less in Salzburg itself. I particularly valued the combination of serious Mozart sightseeing and the merry references to The Sound of Music.

Felt that we learned a lot from our guide the information provided was very interesting and enlightening regarding the history of the von traps as well the history of Austria . The guide provided us with maps and pictures which brought the story to life . Enjoyed Mozart house visit again very in depth information given . Salzburg architecture brought to life , a most enjoyable visit

The guide and tour were excellent. The sing song on the coach was fun and the guide gave helpful recommendations (e.g.best place for Sachertorte, Mozart Kugeln and snacks) as well as additional information en route. We would have appreciated more time in Mondsee which was stunningly beautiful and less time in Salzburg which was interesting but hot, crowded and very touristy!

It was excessively hot and the guide seemed not to be aware of her customers ability. She led us on to a continuous walk around the city of Salzburg never stopping to collect everybody around her and talk about a specific item and allow them to have a drink of water. The walk was over an hour without stopping. There was then over three hours given to our own time, much to much. Very disappointed with this trip which could have been a lot better organised

Very in depth tour which was good, perhaps too much free time after seeing most of the city on the tour. The guide seemed to be rushing through with no thought of waiting for people to come back from the bathroom meaning we lost them temporarily.

Bittina, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgable, was very personable and had a great sense of humour which kept us all interested throughout the day. She also provided us with great insight as to how Salzburg operates for when we had free time in order to get the most out of our time.

Guide was informative but very opinionated! At one point she began to tell us that the Ukrainian people who had been refugees in Austria were now rich and driving ‘flash’ cars and Putin was right to invade!! We shut this conversation down - her personal views should not be expressed! The experience was very good overall - this conversation took up just 10 minutes - but sadly it’s what we remember the most.

Trip was very good and guide Brigitte was fantastic, very experienced and very clear and considerate. However not giving full marks for vfm as felt a bit expensive priced. Plus we would have preferred more time in saltburg rather than stopping for hour in Monsee.

Time was lost due to issues with boat. Dry docked for 1 day dealing with them. A C ,TV and hot water out for 2/3 days. . No internet service all week. Otherwise staff and crew were great.

We had a lovely time in Salzburg, Our guide Brigita was very good. She was dressed in tradition clothes and was aware that some of the group had mobility problems so slowed her guiding to suit.She was very knowledgeable. We were unable to go into Mozart’s house as there were too many stepsfor my friend to climb. We therefore had time to find a cafe serving Sachatorte, and to visit some of the shops in the area.

This was a good day out made all the better by the knowledgeable guides. First rate. Coach journey was not too long which was a bonus. A must for Sound of Musicfans bug plenty of interest for those who are not. Mozart's birthplace was fascinating. Only downside was the rather rude waiter where we hac lunch. All round a good day.

the guide seemed to expect we look at her while she was talking and she talked so much. I was staring out the window at the beautiful scenery and she said "can you hear me?" twice. She was standing right near me. I don't have to stare at the guide to hear her. Also I was trying to take a picture with my sister and she said "ladies, pay attention." We had ear buds in amplifying her voice. It felt like she was scolding us. I loved the trip, but maybe less scolding.
