If you've been on Benidorm beach, you'll have spotted a mysterious rocky outcrop in the horizon. Locals call it Peacock Island because of the birds that make it their home – and at just 3.5km away, it makes a great trip by boat from the mainland.You'll board the boat for the 30-minute cruise to Benidorm Island – its real name – and then have free time to wander around it at your own pace. There's a café down by the quay and there are marked pathways going up to the lighthouse, which is on a cliff with a 73m drop to the sea.And from the summit, you'll enjoy great views of the coastline, which stretches all the way from Alicante in the south to the Puig Campana mountain to the north.

Qué recordar
Trips to Benidorm Island depart from Benidorm Port on the indicated days, starting at 10:00am, approximately every 50 minutes depending on capacity and the minimum visit duration is two hours
Exchange your printed voucher or show your mobile voucher number at the ticket desk at the end of the port on Paseo de Colón street at least 20 minutes before departure time to receive your boarding pass. It will not be possible to board the boat without a boarding pass.
The ticket must be used on the same selected date at the time of purchase
Your Benidorm Island tour will be onboard either the Aquario 2 or Bahía de Benidorm boats, depending on availability. If you travel on the Bahía de Benidorm boat, you'll enjoy the underwater viewing of the island with the Aquascope
Wildlife Protection: Benidorm Island is a protected natural area and, during the seabirds' nesting season, which runs approximately from February to June, the island hosts numerous nests and chicks. During this period, visitors are kindly advised not to approach nests or interact with the birds, as seagulls may display defensive behaviour to protect their young. We appreciate your cooperation and respect for the natural environment in helping to preserve this unique location.

A very enjoyable trip on the boat to take you to peacock island it is nice to climb to the top a lovely view over looking Benidorm it like that you can go below on the boat and sea all the different fish under water once you arrive at island there is also a Restaurant come coffee shop on the island

We really didn’t enjoy this experience. The sea was very choppy which made it feel unsafe to be on the boat. The toilets were clogged with urine and tissue. We enjoyed seeing the fish by the island but it wasn’t anything amazing. There was no communication from any of the staff about anything at all and they actually put the chain back on the stairway despite us still looking at the fish. The island was very basic and we couldn’t even walk to the top because the seagulls were attacking everyone.

We melden ons aan om 09.30u. 30 minuten voor vertrek. Het loket was gesloten. Om 10.00u deden ze open en werd meegedeeld dat de boottocht maar om 11.00u zou vertrekken. De boot vertrok, we vaarden tot aan het eiland, mochten even naar beneden in de boot om naar de visjes re kijken. Er werd niet aangelegd. We zijn onmiddellijk teruggevaren en om 12.00u terug van boord gegaan. Veel geld voor 1u varen.

This was a fantastic experience...short boat ride to the island and a short submarine trip around the island... food and beverages available in the cafe, lovely staff...tracked paths right to the summit...perfect snorkeling conditions and loads of fish... a very special experience and great fun.

Showed my booking reference at the kiosk got my tickets no problem
The trip over to the little island was relaxing seeing the fish through the glass
On the island managed to get to yhe top then bit of snorkeling then relaxed in the cafe 100% worth a visit

Was expecting more from this, was a lovely touch to get our pictures took when boarding the boat and the bowls with our pictures on to buy was a lovely touch to. However we got told there was a submarine we could go on to look at the sea life which wasn’t there, it would have also been a fab opportunity to go below deck on the boat when actually going to the island and not once the boat arrived at the island. Overall it was ok would I do it again? Probably not

The timing was not clear on our receipt. Our trip started at 11:30. Although we arrived at 10am we could at least get a coffee in the nearby port cafe. The trip started with a young lady taking everyone’s photo as you boarded and to our surprise the photo was emblazoned on a dish which we bought for €15 on our return. Nice surprise that. The boat had plenty of seats on the top deck and the journey to the island was pleasant with an unexpected ushering of everyone below to watch the fish swimming

There is nothing but a cafe and to get to the cafe the steps and ground are dangers for all people especially disabled which I was. All tui say is unsuitable for wheelchairs l. When in fact it 8s unlnduitsble for elderly and disabled people

The area where we stopped at was untidy ie.having to be helped off walking on tyres to walk up a very unsure concrete path then for people to climb steps to a not so nice cafe where the lady was quite rude to customers then having something to eat and drink using the not so clean toilets

Amazing boat trip. Unfortunately was not long enough and the island you can stay on for a couple of hours before the boat picks you back up is full of seagulls that attack you when you walk past as they are nesting is very unpleasant.
But overall staff are polite and helpful. Amazing trip

Leuke boottrip, fijn om de vissen onder water te zien. De zeemeeuwen op het eiland zijn nogal beschermend naar hun nest toe. Dus ze vallen aan. Misschien een waarschuwing vermelden om zeker op te passen met kinderen

The bird life were an absolute menace… it may be worth mentioning that they protect their nest during nesting and breeding season. The trip itself and the boat was really good though, but because of the birds, not everyone was willing to go passed them to get to the viewpoint at the top.

Well worth its money, staff were really friendly. When you get to the island the boat circles the island and you can go below deck where it has glass bottom and see the ocean floor and fish. The cafe on the island it reasonably priced would definitely recommend

The actual boat ride was lovely the staff friendly and helpful the scenery lovely. I would of preferred to of just looked at the island from the boat as once on the island the smell of bird poo was really was bad. However we did have a little walk about and then got the next boat back

Loved the boat ride to the island. Saw lots of fish, but all the same type. Views from the island were lovely, however I couldn't walk upto the top due to injured knee. Cafe lovely spot to sit and let the world go by.

It was a great boat trip to the island with my kids. The high points were the submarine boat (has glass windows) and snorkelling from the island. Whilst the promotional posters showing brightly coloured coral aren't representative, the water is beautiful and there are many nice fish.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Although there isn’t much on the island there is enough to see and do. The scenery is beautiful and the cafe staff were welcoming. The overall experience was amazing as didn’t feel rushed to see/ do what we wanted and we didn’t have to worry about returning by a set time as several different boat trips back.

The trip started out with us getting on a boat. The boat ride took about half an hour to get to the island and was pleasant. Take a small jacket as it can get windy. Other than the staff on the boat there was no guide or information. When we got to the island we went on a little submarine boat which you could see under the sea. We saw some fish but not loads. The walk up the island to the top was lovely but lots of nesting and attacking seaguls and the cafe on the island was lovely

This was a great trip. Once we got to the island and we were transferred onto the mini glass-sided submarine it was amazing to see the fish close up. The kids (and the adults!) loved that bit. I had a delicious salad at the cafe. The walk to the top of the island is steep but worth it for a nice view.

Enjoyed submarine. Wish it had been bit longer, maybe all the way around the island. Was very hot day to walk to top of island but myself and partner did it. Few shelters half way up hill but maybe few benches on way up as its a climb and very hot.

De service van jullie was geweldig. Door gezondheidsproblemen konden we niet gaan op de dag van boeking. Zijn een andere dag mogen gaan. Leuke ervaring op de boot. Het mini duikbootje en de vissen. Geweldig!
Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

We enjoyed our trip to benidorm Island. The staff were amazing telling us facts about the Island. Underneath the boat was amazing to see sea creatures. Time to get there was fast about 30 minutes not long. Boats came every hour so helpful if don't want to spend too long on the Island.

It was a very good experience and easy to book. The vistas were brilliant and it was a pleasant crossing to the island. Do not be fooled, the island looks like a rock but it is bigger than it looks. Be aware, during the breeding season the sea gulls will attack. The views under the water at the island were fantastic. I would do this trip again.

This trip was really good. The boat trip out there and back again was nice. We walked up to the top of the rock (lovely views) and lovely to see birds. Would not recommend the under water submarine to see the fishes if you get sea sick, this was terrible and left us feeling unwell.

The boat trip was lovely. Saw lots of fish through the glass bottomed boat. Sadly no food was on offer in the island as it would have been nice to sit and enjoy the views longer whilst enjoying a meal.

The coach drop off point was a nightmare and being disabled took me 40 minutes to get to the hotel…paying for water was a disgrace when all other drinks were free..food selection was not as good as other hotel stays..will not be travelling with TUI again after this experience.

It was a nice trip. We left later than scheduled because it’s winter. This however should be updated as we could’ve stayed at the hotel longer where it was warmer.) We got see some animals as we got close to the island. Exploring the island was fun but more safely measures should be implemented.

Tour en bateau génial, mes filles de 1 et 2 ans ont adoré. Par contre, on ne connaissait pas du tout avant donc pour nous ok avec les filles, mais je ne conseille pas pour les enfants moins de 4 ans.randonnée est beaucoup trop dangereuse et impraticable avec des petits. Ne pas prévoir poussette

Très bonne accueil cependant arrivé 30 min à l’avance ne sert a rien nous avons dû attendre en plein soleil concernant « la coque transparente » nous avons eu que quelques minutes pour apprécié cette coque avec vu sous l’océan ( 5min uniquement le temps que le bateau amarre…)
