Besuchen Sie eines der wertvollsten und faszinierendsten Kulturdenkmäler Polens. Der erste Touristenpfad in Wieliczka entstand bereits um die Wende zum 19. Jahrhundert. Einige Jahrzehnte später, 1978, wurde das Salzbergwerk zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe erklärt. Der unterirdische Weg führt durch zahlreiche Stollen, Galerien und Kammern, in denen Spuren der Bergbautätigkeit sowie Beispiele sakraler Kunst und Themenkompositionen zur Geschichte des Bergwerks und zu Legenden erhalten geblieben sind. Wieliczka ist das weltweit größte Bergbaumuseum mit einer Sammlung einzigartiger Bergbaugeräte, die die Entwicklung der Bergbautechniken vom Mittelalter bis heute widerspiegeln. Das Mikroklima des Bergwerks wirkt sich zudem positiv auf Asthmatiker und Allergiker aus. Die Tour beginnt mit einem Abstieg über die Treppe in eine Tiefe von 64 Metern. Anschließend werden Sie durch verschiedene Kammern geführt und sehen unterirdische Seen, Schreine und Salzdenkmäler. Die Tour endet 135 Meter unter der Oberfläche. Anschließend fahren Sie mit dem Aufzug zurück an die Oberfläche.

Salt Mine was wonderful. Bus pick-up from agreed location was fine. Wasn't so clear after the tour if we had time to get something to eat, as the tour was across the lunch period, or if we had to go straight back to the bus - which we did.

Visita suggestiva nelle profondità della terra, in una vecchia miniera di sale ottimamente restaurata ed adibita ad attrazione. Interessanti le sculture di sale e la ricostruzione della vita dei lavoratori. Un po' confusionaria la gestione del gruppo un po' lasciato a se stesso, prima di entrare.
