An unforgettable encounter awaits at Puerto Aventura's Dolphin Discovery Park. Let fully qualified trainers help you put a big tick on the bucket list with a dolphin encounter experience. Spend around 40 minutes in the shallow waters with these fascinating, friendly creatures and learn how to interact with them. The experience is from a platform in the water, which makes the activity relaxed and accessible for people of all ages. During you time with the animals, you'll get to shake hands with them, they'll boop your hand with their snout and you can even get a peck on the cheek from one of them, too. What's more, your ticket also includes a buffet lunch and two non-alcoholic drinks with your meal.

Children over 13 years over 140cm in height can take part alone but must pay adult price
Children who are between 1.2m and 1.39m talls must be accompanied by an adult for the dolphin interactions
Infants aged between one and five can take part free of charge, but must be accompanied by a paying adult
For clarity, for this experience children are considered from six to 12 years old. Adults are regarded as anyone aged 13 and above
Behaviours you will experience during the encounter include a handshake, hug and hand target
Please note, this type of dolphin swim is an interaction enjoyed from a platform in the water
Photos aren't included
The buffet lunch isn't available for the 3.00pm slot
The government tax for this activity is not included and 50 Mexican Pesos per person is paid directly at check-in

These criteria are continually updated based on the latest scientific research and international standards. They focus on enhancing cetacean wellbeing by promoting natural and social behaviours, ensuring specialised veterinary care, encouraging the animals' autonomy within their environment, and supporting education and conservation effortsThe standards strictly prohibit breeding for commercial purposes, the use of behavioural drugs, the capture of wild cetaceans and food deprivation techniques, among other measures
You can't wear suncream or tanning products during the dolphin program, since some of the chemicals in them could be harmful to the animals
Jewellery or accessories that can easily come off aren't allowed to be worn during the dolphin program
Electronic devices aren't allowed during the dolphin program
We recommend bring some cash with you so you can buy photos or souvenirs
This experience is recommended for anyone who has heart conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, takes heart medication. Anyone concerned about their physical condition or medical history should consult their physician before taking part in any strenuous activity
In accordance with Article 60 of the Q. Roo Finance Law, a state tax (ISEPAAA) of MX$50 per person (ages six and up) must be paid at check-in for activities involving dolphins

The experience with the dolphins was amazing as was the staff knowledge and care. We didn't use the transport as we were 5 minutes walk from the place. However we arrived at 9 and left at 1045, we didn't get lunch etc and if we had got on transport the pick up was 1130 anyway. The experience states 4 to 8 hours it was less than 2

This was amazing! One of the best things I have done. Everyone was friendly. It was well organised and ran on time. Pick up worked really well. I had the .minibus to myself! Would highly recommend.

It was advertised as an 8 hour experience but it was only 4 hours. It was rushed. We had to have our lunch at 11 am as our transport was collecting us at 11.30. It was too early to eat lunch and too rushed to be ready for 11.30. The photos were way too expensive and a rip-off. Very disappointed.

We booked to swim with the dolphins and that didn’t happen we just learnt about them and the photos cost us a hundred pounds on top so wouldn’t do it again.

Transfer a little late. Our pick up time was changed to 7.10am but this was unnecessary as the place wasn’t even open when we arrived (7.45) and our slot wasn’t until 9am anyway so lots of sitting around waiting. At the end lunch was really rushed as pick up at 1130 and we only finished just before 11am with the dolphins.

The experience with the dolphins was absolutely amazing the trainer was brilliant as I'm nervous in deep water but she kept me calm. The only down to this was we got told 4-8 hrs but that wasn't the case. Lunch was included but we didn't get lunch which we paid for as it opened at 11am and we left 11.30 so had to spend money at the coffee shop. The photos were expensive but totally worth it. The dolphins were the best bit. I would book it again just don't expect lunch as its a con!!

Het staat 'zwemmen met dolfijnen' maar wat je krijgt is eigenlijk paar keer hun aaien en poseren voor fotos welke zijn niet inbegrepen in de prijs. Je komt water in waar twee dolfijnen zijn aanwezig. En hele tijd breng je aan de zijkant staan en hun enkele keer aanraken. Bij ingang krijg je aangeboden digitale fotos voor USD 89 per persoon, jezelf kan je geen fotos maken

This was a once in a lifetime experience. The time spent with the dolphin and his trainers was absolutely amazing, and the respect and care the trainers showed for the dolphin was lovely to see. The only negatives were the extortionate price for photos and the fact that, despite the experience supposedly including lunch, the restaurant only opened at 11am and we were given a pick up time of 11:30, not having been able to enjoy the lunch or even have a say in the pick up time

Nous sommes arrivées tôt, prise en charge au top ! Nous étions 2 +2autres personnes, parfait pour apprécier le moment. Avec le pack acheté vous avez droit à caresser les dauphins, recevoir un bisou… moyennant 15 dollars en plus pour deux vous avez droit à « nager » 2 fois avec eux et découvrir dans un autre bassin un lamentin. Le pack photo est de 140 dollars, vous téléchargez une application et recevez directement les photos 66 pièces pour nous. Je recommande l’expérience…

Fantastic experience but not the 8 hours it is advertised as. From pick up to drop off was only around 4 hours! Cost of photos on top os very expensive!

The actual dolphin part was amazing. The guide as great, knowledgable and fun. It was arranged that I would be picked up at 11.30 to go back to the hotel so I didn’t have any lunch which was supposed to be part of the experience. Overall, I would definitely do it again.

- dicht bij de dolfijnen en goeie uitleg van de begeleiders - transport was goed op tijd om ons op te halen en terug te brengen naar hotel - jammer dat dit niet privé is maar in kleine groepen, minder tijd dan die 40 minuten om bij de dolfijnen te zijn

It was a fantastic experience. The only problem was we are husband and wife going together but couldn't have a photograph together with the dolphin as they were selling one photo for nearly £40. We wanted one together but you had to have seperate and buy two at a phenomenal cost. Only bought one my husband had done as I had done it before. This was disappointing and a lovely experience ending with the photography team trying to get money off you. You pay enough for the trip. Not right......
