Ostern ist einer der wichtigsten Feiertage im griechischen Kalender. Bei diesem Abendausflug können Sie an den Feierlichkeiten am Karfreitag teilnehmen. Wir holen Sie von Ihrem Hotel ab und bringen Sie zusammen mit Ihrem Tourguide zum Tor des Heiligen Athanasius, wo die Feierlichkeiten beginnen.Zunächst steht ein geführter Spaziergang durch die Altstadt von Rhodos mit einem Tourguide auf dem Programm, bevor es zu einem traditionellen Essen in ein Restaurant geht. Anschließend besuchen Sie die Agios-Fanourios-Kirche, wo Sie mehr über die Geschichte dieses kleinen Gotteshauses erfahren.Als Nächstes steht die Epitaph-Prozession auf dem Programm. Hier wird das Epitafios – die Ikone, die Christus bereit zur Beisetzung darstellt – durch die Stadt getragen, begleitet von einem Chor und Kerzen tragenden Einheimischen. Es werden Hymnen gesungen, und entlang der gesamten Strecke streuen die Menschen Blumen. Sie werden schnell erkennen, warum Ostern in Griechenland ein größeres Fest ist als Weihnachten. Es ist ein wirklich einzigartiges Erlebnis und ein beeindruckender Anblick. Nach der Prozession treffen Sie sich am Hafen von Kolona zur Abholung und kehren zu Ihrem Hotel zurück.

We were a little bit sceptical after reading reviews from previous years, but we are so glad we went. Our TUI rep told us that they had changed both the guide and the restaurant after the feedback last year. The guide, Dimitri, was so knowledgeable- a local who was very much part of the community. He shared his own personal experiences as well as lots of other historical facts. The meal at Vasily’s restaurant was tasty, very filling and traditional. The whole evening was extremely moving.

Perfekt war der Guide: Katharina! Sie ist sehr freundlich, spricht super deutsch, hat für alles ein offenes Ohr! Die Busfahrer waren sehr gut und haben uns sicher von A nach B gebracht! Negativ: Das Restaurant Leider 6 Katzen, die nicht "verscheucht" wurden, die Toiletten nicht verschließbar, das Essen: 1 kl. Stück Weißbrot, 1 kl. gem. Salat mit 2 sehr kleinen Stückchen Feta, 1x Moussaka (klein), 1 Dessert. Geben sollte es: Meze, Hühnchen, Dessert. Das Restaurant ist UNTAUGLICH für Gruppenevents

The guide had the time wrong and we missed the highlight of the tour. The rep sold us a tour wher we would see and follow the Easter procession to the church. This was totally miss guided and was not experienced. The food service was also very slow and not to a very good standard leaving us still hungry. As we missed all the procession, the tour had to finish early and the guide disappeared and was unable to get the coach to return for us. We were left abandoned so we had to hire a taxi back.

The group was too large for the tour - we couldn’t move around well and it was hard to stay together. There were also many young children despite this being an adult experience. The food - we hadn’t been asked for allergies etc. in advance so the restaurant weren’t prepared and so food was delivered at very different times, cold and tasteless. We were promised a welcome drink but didn’t get one. We were there to see a procession for Good Friday but missed it because the timings were wrong.

The event would have been great but unfortunately the guide got her times mixed up, so we didn't get to be part of the procession or the Mass. The guide was lovely and very knowledgeable and she explained a lot about the Old Town but next time people coming from our hotel need to arrive and be near toilets due to the time it takes to get to Rhodes and go straight to eat, then some tour of the Old Town but not as much. Then obviously be on time for the actual event. We did see the church ..

The whole experience was bad. My wife has a bad foot and we were never warned about the bad conditions of the roads so she ended up in pain. The food was changed and it was horrible we had to buy our own food. The parade time changed so we missed the whole thing as no one told us. The guide became rude with us at the end

Toller Guide. Viel Wissen und Herzblut. Hat toll auf Fragen geantwortet und alles super organisiert. Bei der Buchung wäre es toll gewesen, vorher zu wissen, dass man eine Vegetarische Alternative zu Essen haben kann. Trotzdem super Erlebnis und sehr zu empfehlen.

Very special tour as it was Easter for the Greek people. Did not enjoy the restaurant experience that was included in the tour. The actual restaurant was great however the food was not.

The guide was a brilliant, the restaurant where we had food was lovely, the food itself was lovely. The event itself, waiting by the church in the crowd, going with the crowd, listening to the singing was all very atmospheric. I am so glad I got to see it.

Our guide Katerina was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic keeping our attention always. The tour of the old town, local restaurant we ate at with a taster of Greek food and being able to be a part of and experience Easter celebrations in a different country and culture was brilliant.
