Phuket is a real holiday haven when it comes to sightseeing and mouth-watering cuisine. Thankfully, the two go hand in hand well, and this guided tour is designed to show off both aspects of this Thai hotspot. Night markets, the old town, a cashew factory – you'll visit all of them on this trip. And, you'll have your fill of the best street food around.Your outing kicks off with a trip to a cashew nut factory. They're one of Phuket's biggest exports, and you'll see how they're processed en masse during a tour of the facility. You'll see how the nuts are taken out of their shells, as well as how cashew butter and even caramel are made. After your visit, you'll then make your way to Blue Elephant, a fine-dining restaurant in Phuket, for a tea or coffee. The restaurant is housed in a 100-year-old Sino-Portuguese building that used to be the Governor's residence.Once you've recharged your batteries a little, you'll head out around Phuket's Old Town at night with your guide for a walking tour. This place really pops at night, thanks to all the colourful colonial buildings that have an extra laidback atmosphere after dark. You'll eventually reach Thalang Road Night Market, where street food is the star of the show. You'll have loads of time to try a few different kinds here, like spicy salads topped with green papaya and peanuts, pad Thai, noodle soups, fried seafood and more.

This started with a trip to a cashew shop/factory and we were provided with a scant overview of how cashews are produced, the shop is expensive. Following this we went to the Blue Elephant for cake, the building is grand and has clearly not always been a restaurant, however, the guide knew nothing about the history, after this you go around unescorted & meet later ar a restaurant for food which was poor, I expected we would sample food from the variety of food stalls, not the case, poor trip.

De chauffeur was een uur te vroeg, de reisleiding had niets te vertellen. We moesten maar achter haar aan rennen, omdat ze snel klaar wilde zijn. De markt hebben we nauwelijks gezien. Nooit meer !!!!

No Information from TUI Rep "Boy" Was told pickup at 3.45.it did not come until 4.05 we was not told that it would be a taxi, Taxi driver said it was a private tour and he was the guide. We arrived at the Cashew Factory, and joined another group for the tour after missing the first bit. when we finished we started to get into the taxi when another guide arrived and she said we have to join them., the taxi driver did not know anything about this so he asked who she was before letting us join the

Det var mycket varmt vilket gjorde det tufft. Guiden var helt otrolig, köpte mat o dryck till oss o vi fick inte betala (vilket vi hade velat göra). Lugn o fin transport i bekväm bil.

The experience was well paced and enjoyable. The Blue Elephant cafe was a gem of a place to take a coffee Meo, the guide, was a joy to be around and informative in an engaging way. He was quite a character; an asset for an excursion service. The night market is a vibrant and enjoyable experience. The transfer drivers could be better. They drive so close to the car in front whilst simultaneously using their mobile. Didn't always feel safe. The women drivers were by far better and felt safer.

Spart euch das Geld oder bucht eine andere Tour! Auch kann man durchaus diesen Markt auf eigene Faust selbst antreten. Beachtet jedoch, dass man, wenn man selbst mit dem Auto anreist, einige Meter zum Markt laufen muss, da es sehr wenige Parkplätze gibt.

Booking was easy via our ever available guide Boy. Pick up and transport from the hotel was equally smooth and in a luxurious vehicle. Our guide Army was excellent, very informative and took great care of us throughout our tour - even shopping for our street food with us and providing an oasis of calm amongst the chaos for us to enjoy eating it. Yes the night market is very busy but what we expected. The inclusion of afternoon tea at the Blue Elephant was an added highlight for us!

Felt totally ripped off ! What was supposed to be a nut factory was actually a nut shop ! The blue elephant was actually very nice . When we actually got to the market we were rushed through by the guide and she kept asking us to try the street food as she had money for us to pay for it , what was all that about ? Didn't see any old buildings that was advertised ? Could have done this ourselves at a fraction of the price we were charged !

Er werdt bij de boeking niet vertelt dat we eerst naar een cashew noten fabriek gingen, en ook niet om in de bleu elifhant thee te gaan drinken, En daarna kregen we te horen dat we meer dan 4 uur rond gingen lopen

Eigenlijk pure **********. Je gaat naar een cashewnoten fabriek waar je een rondleiding zou krijgen. Zou, want je kijkt eerst naar iemand hoe deze de noot uit zijn schaal haalt. Vervolgens wordt de noot ongeveer 5 uur gebrand en dan zie je hoe iemand dit presenteer. Daarna wordt je naar een winkel gedirigeerd om het e.e.a. te kopen. Hoe rondleiding?! Daarna ergens thee of koffie drinken. Leuk maar dat stelde niet veel voor. En dan pas de markt. Tip ga met taxi er zelf naar toe.

pick up was late, and having had an email saying it would be earlier it was much later. The guide did not speak very good english, we were with another couple who only spoke french. The nut factory was rushed and we felt it was trying to close as the few people there were disinterested. We did not see the factory, It was more like a shop to sell the packets of nuts. I feel misled. Blue elephant restaurant was nice, we were the last party to get there, again rushed. Return back too late.

Preis/Leistung war OK aber der Ausflug lohnt sich nicht wirklich. Ich hatte von dem Markt mer lokale, eventuell selbst gemachte Produkte, erwartet stattdessen war es eher ein Fressmarkt mit überwiegend kommerziellen Läden. Durch die Menschenmassen war es fast unmöglich, sich gewisse Produkte genauer anzuschauen da es ein einziges Geschiebe und Gedränge war. Die Fahrt hin und zurück war sehr abenteuerlich und das ganze ohne vorhandene Sicherheitsgurte.

Ein wirklich schöner Ausflug. Der Nachtmarkt und das dort angebotene Streetfood ist eine Reise wert. Von der Cashew „Fabrik“ hätte ich mir mehr vorgestellt es scheint aber die einzige auf Phuket zu sein und ist leider nicht so informativ. Aber im Großen und Ganzen ein toller Ausflug.

Hyggelig tur med besøg på cashew nød fabrik som nok er lidt overdrevet betegnelse, cashew nødde shop ville være mere retvisende. Besøg på restaurant blue elefant super. Markedet overdrevet crowded og nærmest umuligt og nyde oplevelsen.

Cashew-tehtaalla olisi voinut olla enemmän nähtävää kuin vain pieni pysähdys tehtaanmyymälässä. Retkikuvauksesta sai käsityksen, että siellä olisi voinut nähdä ja kokea enemmän. Kahvitus Blue Elephant -ravintolassa vei turhaa aikaa markkinoilta ja ostosten tekemiseltä. Kahvilassa oli hidas palvelu (opiskelijat). Ja sitten markkinoille jäi vain pari tuntia aikaa, joten ei kerennyt kuin ”juosta” alueen läpi. Ei kerennyt juuri tunnelmoida itse markkinoita.

I liked the Blue Elephant restaurant. was too rushed though. Our tour guide struggled with the English language . TBF he is Thai. I'm english and struggled understanding him at times. Many others in the trip were Scandinavian and must have struggled a lot. It felt very rushed and time constrained. The market area visit was like entering a football match during a final. packed out and easy to lose your direction , without a phone with maps you could have got lost.

Vores bus kom 15 min senere til nødefabrikken end andre og da vi kom var der kun indkøb og smagsprøver tilbage vi misset introen og fortælling om stedet. Så fik vi 2 timer og 30min på market hvilket var alt for lidt til rigtig nå se det grundet så mange folk. Men eller ok tur.

The cashew factory visit was a waste of time. I liked the Blue Elephant restaurant visit and would like to have extended to an afternoon tea or at least the option to do so. Would have been a much better option than the cashew nut factory visit. Really enjoyed the night market. Was expecting a bit more of a walking tour of the old town with some history but didn’t get any of this. Went back the following Sunday on our own with a taxi there and back and wished we had done this the first time.

The cashew nut factory was a bit bland and seemed to be only open for us and felt obliged to make purchase. The blue elephant was lovely however maybe water should be included in price of afternoon tea not an added extra the market was brilliant and definitely enough time to see everything all in all a good experience

Wir hatten viel Zeit, um ausgiebig über den Nachtmarkt zu schlendern und uns die wunderschöne Altstadt Phukets anzuschauen. Unbedingt Hunger mitbringen, denn das Essen an den Ständen ist super lecker!

Fahrt war sehr anstrengend weil viel Verkehr, viele Ampeln. Besuch des Blue Elefanten Restaurants in Phuket Town war sehr schön, der Markt war super, genau so hatte ich es mir vorgestellt. Schöner Ausflug, können wir empfehlen.

Kohteena upea, mutta hinta-laatu ei vastannut odotuksia. Tuohon hintaan olisi pitänyt saada muutakin kuin kahvi, juustokakun pala ja matka. Jos opas olisi kertonut esim historiasta, rakennuksista yms olisi hinta-laatu ollut kohdillaan.

Hade en jättebra resa förutom att jag inte fick hjälp när fick ont i ryggen. Förutom detta så tycker jag att det är tråkigt för att jag reser ibland ensam och inte kan få hjälp med att gå av flygplansbussen och upp och ner för trappan till flygplanet. Är inte funktionshindrad men men jag har svaga ben och knä.
