Unechte Karettschildkröten sind seit Tausenden von Jahren Bewohner der Strände von Zakynthos, und mit etwas Glück können Sie sie auf dieser Bootstour aus nächster Nähe beobachten. Begleiten Sie einen ortskundigen Tourguide durch einen lehrreichen Tag auf dem Meer, vorbei an Nistplätzen, schwimmen Sie in versteckten Buchten und verbringen Sie Zeit im Dorf Keri. Bianca, eine unserer Tourguides, sagt: „In nur einem Ausflug können Sie in das klare Wasser springen, entlang der Halbinsel Keri fahren und mit etwas Glück Schildkröten sehen."Diese halbtägige Bootsfahrt, die entweder morgens vom Hafen von Zakynthos oder nachmittags vom Hafen von Keri aus startet, ist ein wahres Vergnügen für die ganze Familie. Sie kommen an den goldenen Stränden von Vassilikos und Marathonisi vorbei, einer mit Pinien bewachsenen Insel, die den Beinamen „Schildkröteninsel“ trägt. Der Grund dafür ist einfach: Einer der Strände ist ein beliebter Nistplatz für Schildkröten. Bianca, die seit mehr als 20 Jahren auf Zante lebt, sagt über die Landschaft: „Man kann diese Tour tausendmal machen und jeder Tag ist anders." Halten Sie auf jeden Fall Ausschau nach Meeressäugern, und vielleicht sehen Sie sogar den einen oder anderen wilden Delfin.Zudem segeln Sie entlang der Halbinsel Keri, vorbei an den steil abfallenden Klippen, Höhlen und dem Leuchtturm, bevor Sie den Anker für einen Badestopp werfen. In dem kleinen Dorf Keri können Sie Souvenirs einkaufen, sich in einer typischen Taverne entspannen oder an den Strand gehen. Ebensi wird ein Freiwilliger der örtlichen Naturschutzorganisation ARCHELON - der Gesellschaft zum Schutz der Meeresschildkröten in Griechenland - an Bord sein und Ihnen die Arbeit der Organisation erläutern.

Een hele goeie excursie en het was goed georganiseerd. Aan alles was gedacht. Je kan eten en drinken kopen op de boot. Mooie riffen gezien en zelfs een schildpad.

De persoon waar we de excursie geboekt hadden had weinig tot geen kennis. Haar excuses was omdat ze moest invallen ivm ziek zijn van collega. We hebben alles op grote afstand moeten bekijken zoals de grotten, de mooie stranden. Alleen een paar schildpadden bij de boot gespot. Vorig jaar met een gelijke boot op Karpathos wel in de grotten mogen zwemmen en naar mooie standen gezwommen en even mogen zonnen. Als alleen spotten van schildpadden was geweest had ik niet geboekt voor €38,00 per persoon.

The cruise itself was good, but it was not what we booked. We asked the rep to book us a Glass button boat as we have a disabled person with us who had who could not swim so we wanted her to experience the Glass bottom bought so she could see what was going on we knew as soon as we arrived this was the wrong trip. I was very disappointed. We sat on the boat. It was nice but not what we wanted.

De excursie is niet duur en een boottocht is altijd leuk. Dus dat is prima. De reisleidster Bianca deed het ook heel goed. Voor mij persoonlijk had het kleinschaliger gemogen. Ik persoonlijk vond het veel te druk op de boot.

Part of the cruise is the same as the sunset cruise so repeats itself. The prices on Board for snacks we thought were expensive. However, the actual turtle side of the cruise was absolutely amazing. We saw turtles! And the chance to have a swim was beautiful. Thank you.

Der Ausflug war schön und gut organisiert. Wir hatten keinen deutschen Guide, aber die Reiseleitung hat sich viel Mühe gegeben, das Wesentliche auf deutsch zu erzählen. Sogar eine Schildkröte haben wir gesehen.

Een hele morgen op een boot gelukkig wel schildpad gespot maar gewoon te weinig bijzonders te zien verder dan duurt 4 uur lang op het water. Gids is wel vriendelijk en doet wel haar best om het interessant te maken

De excursie was enorm goed geregeld. Netjes opgehaald en teruggebracht bij het hotel. Mooie boot. Alleen wat we van tevoren niet wisten was wat voor negatieve impact dit soort trips hebben op de schildpadden. Als we dat van tevoren ons dusdanig hadden beseft dan hadden we waarschijnlijk niet geboekt.

The highlight of the trip was the swim stops. Boat is too big and overcrowded, guides are impossible to hear, there are no stops other than for swimming and boat does not get anywhere close to actually see anything without binoculars. Not recommended especially on a hot day as you’re stuck on a boat with a hundred people with little to see or do.

We enjoyed the experience, getting to see turtles in there environment was great. Not so good, the bus transfer to collect the boat had a wet seat which marked our clothing, the boat toilets could be improved, ladies WC had no toilet seat and no soap in the dispenser for washing your hands.

Most of the tour was in polish not English or even Greek. Buses back were late and stuffy. Boat was in poor condition. Not advertised as a swim cruise, more as a turtle cruise.

Bij deze boottocht zie je heel erg mooi de kustlijn van het zuiden van Zakynthos. Mijn verwachtingen waren wat hoger, want ik dacht dat we ook van de boot af gingen tussendoor. Dit was niet het geval. Wel waren er 2 zwem stops vanaf de boot. Verder zowel de bus als boot prima geregeld,

The tour ran on time we were collected and dropped off as expected and everyone was very respectful and welcoming. We couldnt hear any of the speakers and moved to a few loactions to hear better, they spoke too quietly. The volunteers were particularly quietly spoken We would have expected a drink or some entertainment during the 4hr cruize. We didnt see any turtles and as there wasnt anything else going on it was a very boring experience

Although we had been here for over a week it was the first time we had seen the TUI rep. We asked her about trips and she told us we would live this trip. We feel we were sold it under false pretense as she told us we would love it. She said it would take 45 minutes for transfer to the boat but it took 2 hours!!! She ignored when I asked if it was busy, 3 full coaches x 1 boat!! she told us there would be a little stop so bring euros for coffee etc!!! No a village in site! Boring trip!

We had expected a commentary about the turtles, detailing all about them, their habitat etc. So far as we were aware, there wasn't one during the trip At the end we realised that the 'guide' had been sitting on the middle deck talking but no sound was coming out of any speakers anywhere on the boat. If indeed there were speakers. We did report this to the tui rep at our hotel

Reisleiding tui onplezierige stem, slecht te verstaan. Boottocht na 2 uur wel gezien, maar toen moesten we nog 2 uur. Tour veel te massaal. Een paar schilpadden gezien, maar te veel bootjes die hier op af kwamen. Na de tocht moeten wachten op de bus die later kwam, toen hoorden we de de tui reisleiding ook niet.

Think biggest problem was regarding transport to and from the cruise. From the viewpoint that we as holiday makers haven’t done the trip before, we weren’t sure initially if we were getting on the correct bus to get there. Driver sat in his seat and we had to get on to ask if we were on the correct bus. Also we were advised the pick up was 1pm, actually picked up at 1.30. On a hot day with no explanation I would have gone and bought a drink

We were a party if 6. Youngest being 5 & 7. There was plenty to keep the kids happy from colouring pictures, exploring the 3 different deck levels, plenty of choice of food a d drink to actually seeing 4 turtles and having the opportunity to swim in the sea.

We we're picked up close to our hotel,short journey on air con coach to the port of keri .... then there was a photo opportunity as you are getting in the boat 25€ for a picture fridge magnet and 2 key rings .... plenty of snacks on board and plenty of room... you go out around the keri penisula for a swim stop for half hour ...then make your way back to laganas/ kalamaki beach for turtle spotting then head off to zante town on the way stopping for another swim (its cold in june) docked at 5:30

De gids was slecht verstaanbaar en er was veel wachttijd vóór vertrek. In de beschrijving stond dat we naar Marathonisi en de Keri Peninsula zouden gaan, maar we bleven vooral voor de kust liggen en konden kort zwemmen in open zee. Dit voelde niet goed georganiseerd en niet kindvriendelijk. Er waren geen zwemvesten aanwezig of aangeboden, wat met kinderen van 4 en 10 jaar onveilig voelde. Ook was de excursie minder afwisselend dan verwacht.

Although it wasn't guaranteed we would see any turtles we didn't see one, we saw 4 & got plenty of photos. The two swimming sessions were great fun although I should have remembered I'm 63 and having a diving competition with 10 year olds was not the best idea. It was difficult to hear the guides but transport both there and back was comfortable. We went on the afternoon trip and the only downside was having to walk 800m up cardiac hill to get back to our accommodation

Unfortunately, my partner could no go on the trip. As we informed the hotel rep, that my husband cannot do steps due to a medical condition, which she said that would be ok, we will arrange suitable transportation and the boat has a ramp, however the vehicle that arrived turned out to be a coach, which my husband could not get on and the driver and TUI rep were quite rude and not helpful and no alternative found unless we paid extra for a taxi at our own expense.

Swim spots added in as part of the tour are always good. Boat was very full, with most people settling on second and third floors. Popped down for some shade on first floor and was virtually empty. Turtles are wild animals but still minimal visual sighting. Might be worth renaming the tour, so that it doesn’t start with the word Turtle, so that it’s then not the focal point

Im Prinzip ist es wie "WaleWatching", entweder man hat Glück und sieht welche oder Pech. Wir hatten Glück und konnten eine Schildkröte sehen. Die Tour war sehr schön, man hat einen sehr schönen Eindruck von der Wasserseite bekommen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen 🩷.

Het was allemaal geweldig geregeld. Alleen! Daar kan de gids niets aan doen maar het leek wel of ze heel haar leven aan de sigaren en de whisky heeft gezeten, door haar stem was alles wat slecht te verstaan in het Engels

Well organised and good facilities on boat. Guide Chris hsd great knowledge and was very friendly. Got to see 5 turtles in natural habitat which was incredible.

Overall a good experience, I would say the price is fare, and there was nothing to really complain about no, no dislikes. I great full the boat wasn't packed, I did notice a sign which display the maximum amount of people allowed on the boat 145 I believe.

It was more than 2 hours between being picked up and the boat leaving. We hurried into the boat without lunch as we were told it left at 1pm. It actually left at 1.30. We could not hear/understand the guide on the boat at all. Not informed in advance about the cruise. We heard about the morning cruise which was different from the afternoon one we went on. Easy to get on and off the boat and a comfortable seat.
