Mir hat alles gefallen. Unsere Guide war toll, sie erzählte spannend und interessant, beantwortete sämtliche Fragen. Als Gruppe hatten wir Glück, weil wir vom Ankommen der Schildkröte übers Vorbereiten, die Eierablage, dem Tarnen des Nestes bis zur Rückkehr ins Meer alles miterleben konnten!

Unser Guide Hanna war super und hat viele interessante Informationen mit uns geteilt. Wir konnten tatsächlich eine Schildkröte bei der Eiablage beobachten, was nicht garantiert ist wenn man die Tour bucht! Da es sich um Natur handelt, sollte es klar sein, dennoch wäre es sinnvoll, das in der Beschreibung zu erwähnen.

Two excellent marine biggest guides Lizzie and Mervin. Told us lots of interesting facts and we were lucky enough to witness 2 turtles coming upbto the beach to lay eggs. Amazing experience. Once in a lifetime. Moon and stars also beautiful with no light pollution. Some other groups there who did not show same respect as our guides and group. Not rushed away either. Trip lasts as long as guidesvand group. Cannot recommend highly enough.

No instruction on just how windy or cold tge beach was. Nobody was appropriately dressed as the description only talks about footwear. Spent 3 hours on the beach futing which it rained making everyone colder. No turtles seen. I appreciate that is nature and you cannot predict z nesting, the the guides at No point explained this of offered up any sort of apology. The beach was overcrowded with other groups as well.

To be honest its not something I wanted to see but i went with my hubby I would say its one of my best experiences it was a beautiful and an amazing experience. Carlos and Liz where informative would definitely recommend seeing turtles nesting to anyone that goes to Cape Verde Sal.

The biologist were very nice and knowledgeable. We learnt a great amount about the sea turtles and we saw a nest been dug and the female lay her eggs. It was the most incredible experience and something I will remember for the rest of my life.

We saw a turtle and that’s what we went for, so all good. Disappointing that there are groups with out marine guides who go along and disturb the turtles it’s good that TUI use proper marine biologists who care about the turtles

We loved the turtle walk, we actually got to see one being rescued after getting lost and one nesting. However, I do think it’s important that the guests that come on this trip have not had alcohol, a few guests clearly did and were nothing but rude and idiotic (camera flash). Guides were amazing to react, maybe a quick alcohol test to see if the guests are fit to do tour would be beneficial. It is a privilege to see these animals at there most vulnerable and should not be taken for granted.

Brilliant to be able to experience the nesting at the beach this evening. Knowledgeable guides shared lots of information with us so we were able to understand more about the nesting process, lifespan of the turtles and then see them laying their eggs in the sand.

It was an amazing experience with great hosts who explained everything to us and had so much respect for the welfare of the turtles balanced with our hopes for the trip. Wat een bijzondere avond! Zeker een mega aanrader. We zijn meegeweest met een Engelse tour, maar de gids, Melvin, bleek uit Nederland te komen. Hele fijn, goede en duidelijk uitleg. Our guide was very patient in waiting for turtles as they weren’t coming ashore - they kept us up to date with what they hoping to do as they had to trawl the beach in both directions. We were impressed how they found the turtles that had come ashore but got a great explanation from the guide! It’s easy once you know! As a group we agreed to wait out later and got our own turtle to watch. Such an amazing experience

There were a lot of groups out looking for turtles and this had put some of them off. Perhaps these tours need to be better regulated? The guide was very knowledgeable. A really interesting tour. Great to see one of the loggerheads laying her eggs. Super atmosphere.

It was truly mesmerising to be able to see the female turtle in her very natural ritual of nesting on one of the local beaches. We clearly understood that this could a long wait for the turtle to come out of the water and start nesting and we would need to be patient as this can take up to couple of hours. What we were not told is the fact that there will be lots of other groups like us and they will be racing to spot the turtle first ultimately scaring the potential for the rest..sad behaviour

They were short of spotter on the night so our guide left us with another group for a while. However when they returned they led us straight to a turtle laying eggs and gave us ample opportunities to take photos and ask questions. It was a great experience overall. The guides were very informative and respectful of the turtles and their habitat.

Pre walk information could be better. Although it mentions you need to wear dark clothes, it should specify gym/beach wear and mention you will likely have to sit on the beach for long periods waiting. I would.advice people to bring water etc as well

Guide war nicht informativ und widersprach sich angesichts seiner Informationen. Trotz dem Fund einer Schildkröte, führte der Guide uns zu einer anderen Gruppe, die bereits eine Schildkröte anschaute. Sofern mussten wir länger warten, obwohl es uns anders versprochen wurde. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass die Tour nicht gut für die Schildkröten war und die Tour nicht zum Tierwohl beiträgt. Deshalb würden wir so eine Tour nicht mehr buchen und keinem weiterempfehlen.

We know it depends on the night how many turtles come out of the sea but on the night we went there was only one and around 40 odd people around it. Other guides were telling our group to go away when we had only just got to the turtle. When the tour is booked it needs to be explained how far you have to walk.

1. Tour wurde einfach nach 1:20 Stunde abgebrochen, mit der Begründung es sind zu viele Gruppen da, außerdem haben wir nichts gesehen und haben nur die Infos über die Tiere erhalten. Darauf haben wir uns vor Ort beschwert und eine Ersatztour erhalten. 2. Tour wurden wir erst gar nicht abholt. Nach langem Warten und einigen Anrufen zu TUI in Deutschland und sehr hohen Telefonauslandskosten haben wir erfahren, dass die Tour einfach gecancelt wurde und wir nicht darüber informiert wurden, ??

Excellent
The whole experience was wonderful. The information from the guides and marine biologist and watchers was brilliant. Before booking the tour I would have liked to know that the darker it is, more turtles would come to the beach. It was a full moon when we went so we had to wait 2 hours before seeing a turtle successfully make a nest. I understand that these things are not predictable however.

It was just circumstances the turtles took a long time! It's no ones fault. But I was tired and we had to walk a long way again sooo ones fault!
