Following the safety briefing, it's time to give it some welly. Taking in the remote and underpopulated north of Rhodes, you'll get to see parts of the island that don't make the pages of travel guides as we weave through the rolling countryside.This rip-roaring odyssey is a day full of off-road exploration, fun and adventure. Grandios, wir haben uns das ganze zwar ein wenig wilder erwartet, es war jedoch ausreichend spannend, wir sahen bestimmt Stellen dieser Insel die wir sonst nie entdecken hätten dürfen. Unser Guide hat uns über die Insel super informiert und uns an Plätze mitgenommen die nicht nur geheimnisvoll sondern auch perfekt für Fotos waren.

Great day out with an excellent driver/tour guide who is passionate about the island and the people and wildlife within it. We visited places we would not have discovered on our own or on a regular coach tour. Great knowledge with very personal touch. Fantastic new lunch location with great food, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful beach/stunning views. Catered for a vegan diet with food intolerances without being made to feel it was an inconvenience. Nothing was too much trouble and just 2 of us

Super goede gids Wasilis. Weet en vertelt veel en is zeer vriendelijk. Rijdt rustig en veilig. De stops waren relaxed en mooi. Voor het kasteelbezoek op de berg was het echter te warm, daar was en andere keuze misschien verstandig geweest. Het is meer een rondrit dan en safari ( wat wij overigens prima vinden).

Getting to places a bus wouldn't and seeing the landscape and history of the island. We were lucky it was only our family in the 4x4. Lunch was good with the most amazing view and very polite staff.

Really fun day seeing parts of Rhodes off the beaten track. Beautiful scenery and interesting stops. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt loads about Greek culture, both ancient and modern. Wonderful stop for lunch with incredible views

Our guide was amazing, very knowledgeable of the area and very engaging. We were never rushed through the process even though he probably had a timescale to keep. Would recommend for anyone looking to explore the rural areas a bit more and enjoy local wine and cuisine.

Het off the road rijden is leuk, maar weinig bezienswaardigheden onderweg. Had misschien gehoopt dat er locals zouden wonen en herders en dat we daar iets over te vertellen kregen. Maar dit was er niet, dan kan je er ook niets over vertellen. de uitzichtpunten waren mooi, maar ik vond het te duur voor wat we te zien kregen. Voor de lunch waren we blijkbaar 2 uur te laat. we hebben gegeten, maar dat kon volgens mij beter. wel een hele mooie locatie overigens. De wijn ook niet gekregen.

Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall die Insel aus einer völlig anderen Perspektive zu betrachten. Erst dann hat man ein viel besseres Gefühl für diese Insel. Der Guide war super lieb, hatte aber gern etwas mehr während der Fahrt sprechen können. Aber das liegt wohl im Auge des Betrachters. Abseits von den Touristenhochburgen habe ich diese Tour als sehr wertvoll empfunden. Danke!

What a great experience, it turned out to be a private tour with just myself and my wife with our wonderful guide, Vasilis. We travelled in a comfortable land rover to areas not normally visited by tourists. Vasilis was very knowledgeable and a joy to spend the day with, we were able to ask questions about everything that was confusing to us non Greeks. My favourite part was a stop in a forest, along a dirt track, no sound except the birds and the wind. Lunch was in a beautiful location.

Mit Costa hatten wir einen super Guide. Wir fühlten uns während der gesamten Tour gut unterhalten und informiert, und sicher obendrein. Er hat uns die Schönheit der Insel auf lockere Art und Weise gezeigt. Sehr gut ausgewählt war auch das wunderschöne Restaurant, das Essen und die Aussicht ein Traum. Dieser Ausflug war definitiv eines der Highlights unseres Urlaubs- ein großes Danke an Costa ????

Mooie offroad safari, het andere Rhodos ontdekken. De halte met degustatie van wijnen, olijfolie en andere streekproducten was geen meerwaarde. Misschien een paar kleine extra stops voorzien om even de mooie landschappen te bewonderen en om eventueel foto's te kunnen nemen. Vriendelijke chauffeur/gids.

Costas our guide was very friendly and engaging, informative about Rhodes and the area. Great off road experience seeing the quieter interior and countryside of Rhodes. Small group experience with stops for photos and views. One stop at a souvenir and wine tasting and lovely restaurant for lunch.

We hadden geluk dat het eigenlijk een privé-uitstapje was. Onze chauffeur was een aangename zorgzame fijne persoon. ?? Hebben van Rhodos de afgelegen gebieden nu ook wat gezien. Ook de lunch was lekker en met een prachtig uitzicht. Kortom, het was een fijne dag! En als ik dan iets moet opmerken... Er stond mogelijk tot zwemmen bij, we hadden ons zwempak mee mr daar zijn we niet tot gekomen! Geen probleem, we doken erna in het zwembad van ons hotel ...

This by far was our favourite experience/ day out. Our driver was so knowledgeable and we felt safe with his off road driving, the lunch stop was lovely with beautiful views. We stopped for some wine tasting which was lovely too. Would very easily give this day 10/10

Unser Guid Kostas war superfreundlich und hat unsere Fragen immer beantwortet. Im Wagen hat er immer zu dem Nächsten längeren Halt etwas berichtet. Zwischdurch brachte er immer wieder eine Konversation in Gang. Es war nie langweilig. Wir waren mit allem zufrieden, ausser dem Wetter, denn wir hatten 39 Grad. Das kann niemand beeinflussen.

Almost identical to the Rhodes Food & Wine Tour also offered by TUI but far superior in everyway. Driver/Guide probably not as knowledgeable but certainly much friendlier. You might just need to direct him to your hotel on the way back though ??. Off road bits not too harsh, which suited us. Driver obviously has a time scale to run to but at no point did we ever feel rushed. In conclusion, if you're considering the Rhodes Food & Wine Tour, don't; do this instead. Fully recommended.

Guide Costas great, very helpful. Companion Polish family very accommodating with regard to swapping seats to help hubby with knee problem. Great to see less explored and touristy parts of island. Lunch good. Write up made trip sound unsuitable for most people, which isn't really the case. Yes the road is bumpy in places but with excellent driver and vehicle not much of an issue

Top: Abholen, Sauberkeit im Fahrzeug, Routenplanung, Hinweise auf Verbesserungen: Guide sollte mehr an Geographie ( Höhe, NAMEN der Berge und Landschaften) vermitteln. Auch Alter und Erbauer / Geschichtliche Fakten von Burgen, Basilika und so weiter. Notwendige Verbesserungen: Originalität und Qualität des Mittagessen. Auch eventuell ein weiterer Stop, zum Beispiel für Snacks mir griechischen Caffe und dessen original Zubereitung zeigen. Vielen Dank.

Heerlijk om zo door de bergen te crossen en op een andere manier de omgeving te kunnen zien. We hadden een geweldige chauffeur en hebben tussendoor heerlijk geluncht en daarna ook nog wijn, olijfolie en honing geproefd.

Our driver made the day very enjoyable driving us all around the interior of the island with stops when we wanted to take photos etc. He gave us lots of information about the island and drove very safely. The stop at the winery was excellent and we didn’t feel rushed. Our lunch was lovely also.

The experience was great. The driver (costas) was fantastic, informative, funny amd made the experience so much better. The other 3 people on the experience were nice. The day was not rushed and was ay our own pace. The meal/restaurant was lovely, an amazing view from our table, food was lovely. Wine, honey amd olive oil tasting was good. The overall experience was one of the best excursions of my holliday

Cosmo our driver was excellent, There was 4 of us this trip. We communicated with him at all times on route. He explained the safety of our trip. We explored the mountain ?? Comso show us the hightest mountain, 1,230. Also we went to Eleousa and the building built in 1936. The lunch was fabulous ?? we completed the chief and the drink ?? and ice cream. 5×

Die Fahrt am Anfang der Safari war super. Auf der Heimfart ins Hotel sind wir fast die gleiche Strecke zwar nicht durchs Gelände. sondern auf der normalen Straße zurück gefahren. Da wäre es schön gewesen, wenn die Tour etwas mehr an der Küste entlang gefahren würde.

We were really glad we booked this up, we got to see plenty of the island and our guide couldn’t have been better. We were taken wine tasting which was unexpected but amazing, the people were all lovely. The food at the restaurant we were taken to was also lovely and the staff there were also great.

Had the Land Rover to ourselves so we had a more personal tour. Our driver ( sorry can’t remember his name ) was brilliant. Lovely young man who knew the island well. He was very professional and a credit to Tui. Some of the views he took us too were breathtaking

Vår guide var helt fantastisk! Trevlig och lätt att prata om allt möjligt med. Vi åkte bekvämt trots att vägarna var dåliga. Vi fick se både vacker natur och intressanta byggnader. Hade gärna sett mer vilda djur men sådant är såklart svårt att planera. Några ödlor lyckades vi se faktiskt. Väldigt nöjd ändå.

Unserer Fahrer (Costa) war ein wirklicher Goldschatz. Wir haben uns viel auf Englisch unterhalten. Da wir alle im Jeep kein Mittagessen gebucht hatten, haben wir uns dafür in der verbleibenden Zeit noch einen Lost Place angeguckt. Super spannend und sehr informativ. Der Weg durch die Berge war so was von Offroad! Aber ich habe mich zu jeder Zeit sicher gefühlt. Die Tour würde ich so mit Costa jederzeit wieder machen!

Our guide Mike was excellent and knew Rhodes really well. He demonstrated a real love and respect for Rhodes and was the perfect travel companion. The stops were very interesting and some of the views were incredible. Lunch was lovely in a beautiful setting and the off road parts showed a part of Rhodes we would have never otherwise seen. The oil, honey and wine stop was timed just right as well. Have already recommended to friends and family also staying in Rhodes. 5*

Ich versprach mir von der Safari Jeep Tour mehr Inhalt über die griechische Geschichte/Dörfer/Menschen. Es war viel Auto fahren und einfach nur Landschaft anschauen. Unser Guide hat hier und da mal einen Satz erwähnt und ansonsten war es wirklich mehr eine Inselrundfahrt - teilweise so monoton, dass 3 von 5 Touristen kurz einschliefen.

Gids/chauffeur was zeer vriendelijk en reed met ons door onherbergzame mooie natuur waar je normaal gesproken niet komt. Stopte geregeld om foto's te kunnen maken en gaf uitleg over hetgeen we tegenkwamen. Na de lunch ging de terugreis naar het hotel helaas over de snelweg had wel meer door het binnenland gemogen. Maar al met al leuke dag.

Kiitos George-kuskillemme! Matka sisälsi upeita maisemia, viinin ja oliiviöljyn maisteluja, niistä olisi hyvä kertoa retken kuvauksessa, samoin kuljettava reitti. Hieman lisätietoa paikoista olisi ollut retken sikana kiva saada. Ehdottomasti kokemisen arvoinen ja hieno reissu! Opas oli mukava ja huumorintajuinen, ja hallitsi ajon vaikeassa maastossa kiitettävän hyvin.

De verwachting was dat we zelf in auto’s mochten rijden maar je gaat gewoon met 6 mensen in de dichte auto van de chauffeur. Die geeft ook niet veel info over de omgeving. Het is maar een klein uurtje off road rijden. Voldoet dus niet aan de verwachting

Kuljettajaopas tuli 40 minuuttia myöhässä hakemaan. Opas oli hyvin vähäsanainen, ei juurikaan puhunut tai esimerkiksi ei kertonut, mikä paikka on kyseessä, kun pysähdyimme. Asiasta piti itse kysyä. Reitti pääasiassa hiekkatietä, jota kuljimme 7 hengen Range Roverilla. Kovin off road-fiilistä ei siis valitettavasti tullut. En lähtisi uudestaan. Hinta-laatusuhde ei kohdallaan.

Utrolig hyggelig guide, fikk en fin omvisning og tok ca 6 timer. Ble hentet på hotellet og kjørte da innom flere andre hoteller og hentet personer slik at vi var en full bil med turister, trivelig men ble ikke informert om dette på forhånd, trodde vi skulle ha en privat omvisning med bare oss i bilen. Slik at de som kom først fikk velge de beste sitteplassene, ble sittende i midten og det var helt ok, men skulle kanskje vært informert om på forhånd.

A great way to see the inside, mountain areas of the island. Very good and safe off road driving. The land rover was a bit packed with 7 people from 2 parties. The stop for lunch was really great location and food.

With this excursion, you’ll get to see a different side of the island, and the views from there of the rest of the island are breathtaking. The 4x4 does the hard work. But there are parts where those with reduced mobility won’t be able to go. However, there’s no reason why those who are unsteady couldn’t stay close to the car. In my group there was a lady who stay by the car. George, was our driver/guide. He gave everyone the opportunity to take photos. Lunch was amazing.100% recommended.

Our driver Costos was very knowledgeable and approachable. The driving was excellent over challenging terrain. The views were spectacular and how nice to have lunch without chips! The only very minor downside was our hotel was at the opposite end of the other pick up so On the road quite a long time.

Der Fahrer war echt freundlich und konnte gut englisch. Und hier war eine Tour, die wirklich mal keine versteckten Nebenkosten hatte. Nur das Mittagessen hat extra gekostet, war aber freiwillig.

This was a brilliant day. Our driver, Mike, was lovely, so friendly and informative about points of interest on the island. His driving skills were superb as he took us high up into the mountains on nothing more than dirt tracks with plenty of sheer drops around. I am the first to admit I'm not great with heights but I felt completely safe. The vehicle, a Land-rover Discovery was roomy and comfortable for the 6 of us on the trip. We stopped for lunch up in the mountains. Highly recommended

I thoroughly enjoyed this excursion it was great to see another part of Rhodes Island that you wouldn't see while holidaying in Rhodes. The wine tasting event and the visit to the castle I really enjoyed. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in seeing another part of Rhodes which is off the beaten track.

Great route with some beautiful scenery and a feeling of peace and quiet. Really good to see different parts of the island. Costas our driver and guide was great and the views from the restaurant at the end of the trip were amazing.

We had a fantastic day out seeing places that you would not normally see. The tour guide/driver Costas was excellent and very informative he stopped at all the best places to take photo's of this beautiful Island, Would highly recommend and would defiantly go again when we return

Kostas our guide was fantastic !
Only 3 of us on the day out .
We stopped to look at stunning views, watch farmer feed his goats.
Visited an abandoned TB sanitarium, beautiful fountain.
Wandered round Villa de Vecchi built for Mussolini ( also abandoned ) visit to bakery. Tasted wines, oils !

The views were spectacular and the safari takes you to parts of the island you wouldn't normally experience. It was great being off-road and Achilles was a very competent driver and such a lovely man, with lots of interesting facts about the different places. He made the day!

The guide was nice and and knowledge, we visited a man made lake, derelict buildings, and castle ruins, most of the travelling was on main roads with 2 short trips on dirt tracks. It was the tamest 4x4 I have been on. Lunch was great, but followed by an hour and half trip on the main road back home.
