Tenerife's volcanic landscapes and history are the focus of this tour, which is a perfect pick if you want to add a dash of the outdoors to your holiday to the Canary Islands. You'll head into the San Blas Environmental Reserve, a 500,000-square-metre area that showcases the island's volcanic past in all its glory. Arturo, one of the guides at the reserve, says "I'm always amazed by how people are impressed by what they discover inside the reserve and by how many generations have lived here. San Blas is a perfect example of heritage conservation that reminds us of the importance of preserving and protecting our legacy for future generations."You'll be picked up from your accommodation and taken to the park, where you'll kick things off with a quick museum visit. Here, you'll learn how the island was formed millions of years ago, as well as get a glimpse into some of the native flora and fauna found around here. When you're finished checking out the exhibits, you'll then follow your guide around a two-kilometre-long trail that cuts its way through the volcanic landscapes.To end your visit, you'll turn your attention towards the reserve's underground tunnels. They're decked out with exhibits and video presentations that tell you everything you could want to know about the area. You'll follow your guide around the passageways, and they'll tell you how they were formed by lava flows. When you're done here, you'll leave the reserve and head back to your accommodation.

Diese Tour haben wir schon weiterempfohlen 👍 Unser Guide hat alles sehr präzise erklärt- die Führung durch den Tunnel war absolut sicher und speziell- danach durchs Gelände Las Bas🙏 wir fühlten uns sicher geführt- und anspruchsvoll informiert- Danke nochmal an unseren Guide- er brachte uns sehr viel Empathie entgegen - am Ende der Tour nahm unser Guide eine weggeworfene Plastikflasche u eine Schraube auf - damit diese nicht in der tollen Vegetation verbleibt 🤗

Het was een verrassende excursie met een gids, die heel attent was en enthousiast en oog had voor de toeristen. Hij wilde ons zoveel mogelijk vertellen zonder te langdradig te worden. Het kleine tochtje met het vlot was iets onverwachts bijzonders. De gids lette uitermate goed op de veiligheid van de deelnemers, met name bij het in- en uitstappen. De presentatie na afloop met de beelden (in het hotelmuseum) was helder en duidelijk.

Die Tour war sehr schön und ich würde es wieder buchen. Ich hätte mir lediglich zu Beginn gewünscht, dass es einen kurze Erklärung des Ablaufs gibt. Nach Ankunft an dem Hotel gab es die Möglichkeit die Toiletten zu nutzen. Anschließend waren wir im Museum und haben dort ein informatives Video gesehen. Dann gab es eine Tour durch den Erlebnistunnel. Im Anschluss ging es dann zum Spaziergang durchs Naturschutzgebiet. Der Guide war ausgezeichnet!

Was uns nicht gefallen hat war die Aussage, das man für die Tour (laut dem Mitarbeiter von TUI) festes Schuhwerk benötigt am besten Bergstiefel .... absolut nicht korrekt. Deswegen konnten wir die Tour im April nicht machen und mussten sie auf Dezember verlegen. Ansonsten hat alles prima gepasst der Führer ist perfekt auf alle Fragen eingegangen! Ich bin Barfußläufer und habe die Tour nach wenigen Metern Barfuß absolviert, ich verstehe natürlich ihre Befürchtungen wegen Regress ..... :)

Excellent guide who was very knowledgeable. Tour lasted roughly 3 hours which gave plenty of time to see all of the key features. It wasn’t rushed. The audiovisual introduction was well done and most informative.

This was the highlight of our visit - it’s good to do something a bit different on the holiday. We thought the AV experience was helpful at the start to give us some background knowledge. Then the walk and short boat trip was more enjoyable as we know what we were looking at. Especially big shout out to the guide on our trip (the first one on weds 1st October) who was super friendly and knowledgeable and really made the day special for us.

Het was goed geregeld, leuke gids tijdens de rit en bij het reservaat kregen we een andere gids. Arturo de gids is zeer deskundig en weet veel te vertellen. Ook humor er tussen wat het nog leuker maakte.

De tekst geeft aan dat er een ondergronds gangenstelsel bezocht wordt. Dat klopt echter niet en is verwarrend. Tip: pas die tekst aan… verder fijne trio gehad.

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, so we learned many interesting facts from him. During one of the indoor automated presentations, the sound became sratchy and inaudible for a few minutes. A pity, because we missed some information.

Finde gut dass so ein Naturgebiet so gut erhalten wird fand es sehr Beeindruckend wie in einer anderen Welt. Sehr gute Darstelung im Tunnel im Hotel. Kann es weiterempfehlen!!!

Interessant project, mooi gepresenteerd door afwisseling riedimensionale voorstelling, wandeling en museumprojectie. Zeer boeiende gids die op alle vragen antwoordde. Goed georganiseerd.

Der Erlebnistunnel war Klasse. Die Animationen waren gut und auch die Informationen. Auch das Museum war interessant gestaltet und animiert. Die Wanderung mit Erklärungen waren gut und auch dass an ein Getränk gedacht wurde. Die Wege waren gut zu gehen.

A great amenity with upto date technology and interactive displays. Provision of water before going on the 'hike' was welcome. Slight concern - Although ropes were available beside steps the rope length was not fixed between posts - no knots or fixing to stop it pulling through. The post fixings themselves were not secure and would not have held if anyone slipped. As a rambler who uses a walking pole over rugged ground - i would have been concerned about damage to the 'soft' terraine.

Het had zelfs wat langer mogen duren, evl een grotere trip. Alleen spijtig dat de taal Engels was. De meeste gasten waren Nederlandstalig en het Engels weinig machtig.

Experience and information excellent. Guide, although not fluent English, was still completely capable of describing it all in English, tho at times we either helped him with the word, or weren't able to fully hear or understand him, but this element was marginal, but our group was 80% English!...loved the walk, loved the way tunnels was done, even though that part was not at all like we expected . Felt at times, rushed, during walk, esp. near oasis area.. didn't feel I had time to take photos

We were so pleased that we booked this trip. The guide was very knowledgeable and thoughtful, he also spoke good English. We were very interested to hear and see the history of the island through the films. The guided walk was a great way to see the volcanic history of the area. We were amazed that the volcanic bomb had travelled so far. The transport was air conditioned, great for our return journey when it was hot. There were no negative points, we would highly recommend this trip.
