Inaugurado en 2025, el Gran Museo Egipcio (también conocido como GEM) es el mayor museo del mundo dedicado a una única civilización. En esta excursión, pasearás entre más de 100.000 objetos, todos ellos expuestos en un moderno espacio que insufla vida al pasado de Egipto. Tu aventura comienza en Sharm El Sheikh, donde te recogerán en tu alojamiento y te acercarán al aeropuerto. Tras un rápido vuelo a El Cairo, pondrás rumbo directo a la meseta de Guiza, donde se encuentran las pirámides y la Gran Esfinge. Construidas hace más de 4.500 años, estas increíbles estructuras formaban parte del complejo funerario real de los faraones Keops, Kefrén y Micerinos. Tendrás tiempo para pasear por los monumentos y llegar bajo la Esfinge, que lleva miles de años vigilando a los visitantes. Después, almorzarás en un lugar típico.
Más tarde, habrá llegado el momento acceder al propio GEM. Subirás por la Gran Escalera, flaqueada por 64 enormes monumentos que te guiarán por el ascenso de los reyes más importantes de Egipto. Mientras recorres las galerías y te dejas llevar por las zonas ajardinadas que las rodean, sentirás cómo el antiguo Egipto se revela poco a poco de un modo fascinante y fácil de entender. También tendrás oportunidad de ver la Galería de Tutankamón, donde más de 5.000 tesoros suyos se exponen juntos por primera vez desde su descubrimiento en 1922. Tras un día repleto de historia que te abrirá los ojos, emprenderás el camino de regreso a Sharm.

No te olvides de llevar:
trae tu pasaporte con el visado completo para Egipto, no sólo con el sello gratuito del Golfo de Aqaba. Tendrás que adquirir el visado completo para Egipto en el aeropuerto de Sharm
Antes de la fecha de la visita, puedes organizar con la recepción de tu hotel un desayuno para llevar y una cena fuera de horario para cuando regreses
Se recomienda llevar ropa cómoda (pantalón largo) y zapatos. También se recomienda llevar sombrero, gafas de sol, crema solar, pañuelo, botellas de agua y algo de dinero en efectivo para propinas y compras

The whole day was good. A very long day due to early start and late finish and due to Cairo traffic it was a rush to get to the flight at the end so perhaps this needs to be considered although it was good not to wait in the airport after such a long day. The staff were great including Habib who was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and ran the day very well.

Our guide Manal was excellent, very knowledgeable, very friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. The flights to Cairo and back to Sharm El Sheikh were good, overall we enjoyed the day, we have said it’s the best holiday trip we have ever done !

The whole trip was incredible. I did have an error with my ticket with my name having been input wrong by the company but it was sorted thankfully and I finally made it to the pyramids. The guide Jimmy (Mohammed) was brilliant. He was kind, funny and extremely knowledgeable. A wonderful experience I would recommend to everyone.

Positives: Entry to the Great Pyramid. Fantastic! GEM was amazing. Very knowledgeable guide Manal. Safe and comfortable transport throughout by coach. Felt very looked after. More time and explanation of the Sphinx would have been appreciated. Waited some time at the pyramid visitor centre for guide to purchase tickets and wait for additional people to join our party so minimum number was reached (so the coach could drive on to the plateau.)

Journée parfaite, organisation au top. Départ de l'hôtel à 6h30 et retour à 22hr. Guide francophone pour 3 personnes pour les pyramides et le musée. Tout est ompris sauf les boissons au repas et on payer en euro.

As it was Ramadam the guide decided to miss the shopping visit to Cairo in order to get to the museum in good time. This was understandable, but I would have enjoyed actually walking in the city to enjoy the atmosphere. However, the trip was very enjoyable.

Manal, (sorry, unsure of spelling??) Our guide was fantastic, so friendly, very knowlegable and fantastic with our young girls, keeping them engaged and smiling throughout, despite it being a long day. The trip was a great balance and good time allowance at both the pryamids and the museum. Lunch was slightly dissapointing (but possibly because we are spoilt here at coral bay!!). Limited choice and cold though. Overall a dantastic day making memories as a family - special thanks to Manal!

Unbeschreibliches Erlebnis! Alles klappte perfekt. Die Route (Pyramiden, Nil, Essen, Museum) war ideal bezüglich Hitze und Andrang. Wir fühlten uns stets top betreut. Ein großes Lob an Osama in Sharm El Sheikh für den super Empfang! Besonders danken wir unserem Guide Ibrahim in Kairo: Seine unaufgeregte Art, sein Organisationstalent und sein unfassbares Wissen über Geschichte und das Leben in Ägypten haben den Tag unvergesslich gemacht. We loved how everything was taken care of and how knowledgeable our guide was. We also had security with us which allowed us to enjoy the pyramids without worrying about the vendors approaching. The Nile cruise we did was my highlight alongside the pyramids. The only improvement could be the lunch it was at a hotel which wasn’t the best.

A fantastic day better than we could have imagined made even better by our brilliant tour guide Habib. A very long day 22 hours not the 17 as stated and a 2.30am pick up not 4.00am but this is probably down to the airline. All in all a day we will never forget and well worth the very long day.
