Granada with Alhambra guided tour

A medieval poet described the Alhambra as a ‘pearl set in emeralds' – and it still rings true today. The jewel in the crown of Spain's cultural heritage is the highlight of this full day excursion to Granada. As well as a guided tour of the palace and gardens, you'll also be guided through Granada's oldest neighbourhood, the Albaicín.Set on a hill overlooking Granada, in the shadow of the Sierra Nevada, the Alhambra is a feast for the eyes. Behind its red ramparts, you'll discover honeycombed arches and ceilings, colourfully tiled walls and patios with ponds and fountains. To top off the visit, we'll amble through gardens to the Generalife, the peaceful corner where the medieval Moorish emirs spent their summers.You'll also have a guided visit of the ancient Albaicin neighbourhood. With its narrow cobbled streets, whitewashed houses and hidden squares, this atmospheric district feels like stepping back in time. Views of the Alhambra rising above the city are an added bonus. You'll finish with free time to explore the city at your own pace – there's plenty to discover.
