With its limestone cliffs, lush rainforests and beautiful lake, Khao Sok National Park is one of Thailand's natural treasures. On this excursion, you'll visit the lake, trek through the rainforest and dine in one of the floating bamboo huts. A perfect day in the heart of a Jurassic world.Right from the go, this is a tour steeped in drama. A longtail boat takes you from the Rajjaprabha Dam for a trip around the Cheow Lan Lake, where you'll be surrounded by towering, limestone cliffs. Then it's back on land for a guided trek through the rainforest with an experienced local ranger. Keep your eyes peeled for monkeys swinging in the trees and if you're lucky you might see the world's largest flower – the endemic rafflesia kerrii.Next, you'll explore some of the park's caves before a lunch with a twist – you'll dine in one of the floating bamboo huts in the middle of the lake. Afterwards, there'll be free time to relax and swim in the lake.

Wir hatten eine tolle Tour. Unsere Reiseleitung hat sich gut um uns gekümmert. Wir konnten sogar 5 Kammern in der Höhle besichtigen. Er Ausflug ist landschaftlich sehr schön.

The day starts with a 2 hour drive to the Dam, with a service station stop on the way, then onto the long tail boats. A beautiful scenic boat ride to the cave, which is full of bats and spiders (and tourists) then to lunch on the floating restaurant. Where you can canoe or swim or feed the fish. Then a boat ride back to the bus. One final stop at the Dam viewpoint and then home. An enjoyable day out.

Die Mittagspause war sehr massentouristisch und der Badestop in einem „Hafen“ wo alle Longboats mit ihren Dieselmotoren anlegen nicht wirklich einladend (zumal es keine gute Möglichkeit zum Umziehen gab). Die Höhlenbesichtigung fand ich aus Sicherheitsgründen und wegen der Massen an Menschen grenzwertig klaustrophob. Unser Guide Isi war super kompetent, freundlich und hat viel erklärt. Sie vermittelt Sicherheit. Sie hat die Tour zu einem tollen Erlebnis gemacht. Die Gruppengröße war uns zu groß.

Leuke tocht per longtailboot over het stuwmeer, maar eenmaal aangekomen bij de jungle, worden er massa’s mensen toegelaten, lopen allemaal dezelfde route inclusief tegengestelde richting. Ondanks het lage seizoen veel te massaal en je ziet of spot niks in de jungle, vanwege de mensenmassa

Die Tour ist straff organisiert, da die Anfahrt sehr lang sein kann. Demzufolge ist der Aufenthalt an den einzelnen Highlights zeitlich begrenzt . Das ist zu bedauern da die Eindrücke vor Ort gar nicht richtig wirken können , nachfolgende Gruppen auflaufen und es sich lediglich anfühlt wie die Abhandlung des Programms . . Entschädigt wird man mit einer fantastischen Landschaft. Diese beginnt nicht erst im Nationalpark .

Der Ausflug ist, meiner Meinung nach, sehr unterschätzt. Klar es ist was ganz anderes als iwo am Meer zu Inseln fahren oder so, aber die Berge, der See und die Natur mit den Tieren... Echt ein Traum für jeden, der sich für Landschaft und Natur begeistern kann. Lediglich die Dauer des Ausflugs war etwas arg kurz... Halbtagesausflug trifft es besser eigentlich Werde ich aber definitiv nochmal machen und dann wsl aber die große Übernachtungstour

The minibus journey to and from hotels was a bit long but then it was clearly advertised as such so no complaints. The whole day was excellent and our guide (English name Gift), the driver "pet" and the boat captain were all excellent hosts. Gift was very thorough and helpful and took time to speak to all on the trip (9 of us in total of different nationalities). She was a great guide. Such a brilliant excursion - A must if you’re staying nearby (2-3 hour drive). Good pickup from the hotel which then included a drive through the rainforest to get to Khao Sok. Enjoyable long tail boat ride with the best views. Very knowledgeable tour guide with excellent English. Lovely traditional Thai lunch.

Great experience! Long journey from Khao Lak (3hrs) but got to stop for coffee/breakfast en route (not included). Longtail boat on Cheow Lan lake was fun and super stunning surroundings - take raincoat if offered! Hike was enjoyable but wear decent shoes for it, especially if raining (I had flipsflops and it was a challenge). Caving slippy but fun, not for faint hearted (dark, bats, spiders). Floating restaurant good fun, food ok - we hired a canoe (deposit only, money back when return paddles).

Tui Blue ! Abendessen nur mit schwitzen im freien ohne Klima war oft eine Qual . Leider war das Baden am Strand in 3 Wochen nur 2mal gestattet jeden tag rote Fahne außer die letzten 2 Tage.

Hele leuke dag met spontane vriendelijke en behulpzame gids,de boot wat was minder comfortabel vooral geluidsniveau maar dat is de gewoonte in thailand dus dat is dan niet anders. Veel mooie dingen gezien en aan alles was gedacht i.v.m regenkleding,water,frisdrank e.d.

If I could recommend any experience this would be tops, Amazing day, scenery was breathtakingly beautiful, The guide and driver were great, it does take 2 hours drive to get there but you get to see the country. Long tail boat was fab too, Trek through jungle could have been longer as didn’t see any wildlife but enjoyed it anyway. The cave was really narrow and not easy to walk round but it’s a cave. Lots of bats. Highly recommend this experience

Veel te lang varen in de longtail. Het stukje jungle stelde niets voor. Half uurtje wandelen was het. De grot was aardig maar niet bijzonder. Gids was vriendelijk maar ontzettend slecht verstaanbaar Engels.

Die Anfahrt von meinem Hotel mit zwei Stunden ist sehr lang. Die kurze Pause auf dem Hinweg war schön. Auf dem Rückweg gab es keine Pause Die Bootstour ist sehr schön, war im Rückweg mit essen auf dem Bambushotel super. Schwimmen herrlich. Reiseleitung war super. Sie war nett und gab mehr Infos zu Land und Menschen.

The boat trip is stunning and absolutely worth a visit. I would have liked more information along the way of what we were seeing and the guide didn’t know much about the area but a lot about the Dam (but maybe that’s how it is). The hike waant really worth while, we didn’t see any animals or specific places. The lunch good and funny to eat on a floating village. Please note that the trip took 11 hours (not 8 as stated on the website)

Nach 2 Stunden Fahrt in einem vollen , nicht sonderlich komfortablen Kleinbus erreichten wir das Ziel den Khao Lak Nationalpark und eine 1 1/4 stündige Bootsfahrt über des Stausee zu machen. Ein kurzer Spaziergang durch den Dschungel, Mittagessen und dann kurzer Besuch einer Tropfstein Grotte mit allerlei Getier. Danach Bad vom Boot im pipiwarmen Wasser mit schwieriger Rückkehr aufs Boot da keine Leiter. Schöne Naturerlebnisse aber sehr anstrengend

Absolutely amazing day! Loved every second. The scenery is just wow! We saw monkeys and heard gibbons, but the best part was seeing the wild elephants! The cave was also very good. Would 100% do this again.

Maisemat ajomatkan aikana oli niin kauniita, ettei matkan pituus haitanut Uinti ”vapaa-aikana” oli pettymys. Oli pieni, tietty alue missä sai uida, pelastusliivit päällä. Osa seurueesta jätti uimisen väliin pelastusliivien takia. Lounas oli kylmä ja mauton. Siitä miinus. ISO plus siitä, että ainoastaan 1 ruokalaji ei ollut gluteeniton ja silti tuotiin vielä erikseen gluteenittomia kanankoipia. Paikallisopas Oil oli todella hyvä. Paljon kiitoksia hänelle. The experience from start to finish was amazing. I’ve never done anything like it and would highly recommend it to everyone. However it is a really intense packed day. The details state that the tour lasts for 4-8 hours but that doesn’t include 3 hours travelling there and 3 hours travelling back. The description of timing could be made clearer.

Der Ausflug war landschaftlich sehr interessant und sollte bei einem Urlaub unbedingt dazu gehören. Alles hat reibungslos geklappt. Wir waren früher im Hotel zurück, als ursprünglich geplant. Das lag am Busfahrer, der sehr vorausschauend u. schnell gefahren war u. an dem Bootsfahrer, der mit dem überdimensionierten Motor das Longtailboot in einer wahnsinnigen Geschwindigkeit über den See lenkte. Alle Gäste wurden dadurch nass. Höhle, Djungel, Pause auf dem See waren gut. Mittagessen schlecht ??.

Dejlig og smuk tur, men beskrivelsen passer ikke. Fra Khao Lak er der 2 timers bus hver vej - og med 6 timer derude og lidt af- og påsætning, er den reelle varighed 10-11 timer (hvilket er fint, men bare ikke det der er beskrevet). Kun de nærmeste kunne høre hvad guiden fortalte. Han gjorde ikke noget for at samle gruppen inden han gav info. Især på jungleturen kunne jeg godt have tænkt mig mere viden om hvad vi så og hørte. Der bør være en stige på båden så man let kan komme op efter badning.

Nice day out if you want an easy day out. Not worth the money and I assumed there would be more of a hike as it was literally a boat ride around the lake and cave which I’d already done previously. You should not advertise potential wildlife or rafflesia as the walk is not far enough in sbd felt very rushed to see anything, not worth the money sadly but the lunch was nice sbd guide nice but we had to correct him in some nature things :)

Der deutsche Guide hatte leider keine Ahnung von dem Ausflug und hat keine Informationen erzählen können. Zum Glück sprach die Natur auf dem Stausee für sich. Die Dschungeltour war ein sehr ausgetrampelter Pfad und von Touristen überfüllt. Hier kam kein Dschungelgefühl auf.

The tour was a mixed German and English speaking tour however the guide was a native German speaker so it felt like it skewed really towards the German guests on the whole. The lunch was disappointing and again the spice was tones down to appeal to the German guests. The activities offered were very good and the area was beautiful. The drop off and pick up process was very long winded and because we were first we had an alextra hour to our travel time each way.

The boat trip across the lake was great, the scenery is incredible. The floating lunch and free time afterwards where we could swim was good. I felt the jungle trail was ok, it was nice to get out the sun for 30 minites but we didn't really see much in the way of wildlife. The cave was good, however tour guide cut this part short as there was believed to be a dangerous snake in the cave - safety first I guess.

A fantastic day out. Our guide was amazing. Knowledge and funny. She gave us a really well informed take on the country and the environment. The journey on the longboat was incredible as was the hike in the jungle. If you do one thing on your trip, choose this.

Great trip and fantastic guide, Oil. Oil was very knowledgeable and cheerful, she gave us a great insight into Thailand and the National Park and its wildlife, flora and fauna. It was a long day, 12 hours from pick-up in Khao Lak and not for anyone with mobility issues. Boat was wobbly getting in and out and jungle walk and caves difficult in places. Lunch was delicious and we got to swim twice in the lake for a cool down. Saw monkeys and elephants en route, but not in the jungle. Well worth it.

Unsere Österreichische Reiseleiterin war wirklich sehr nett und motiviert. Es hat Spaß gemacht und war sehr abwechslungsreich. Gut wäre gewesen wenn man vorab eine Information zu den Fahr- und Aufenthaltszeiten bekommen hätte, insbesondere weil wir mit zwei kleinen Kindern dabei waren.

An extremely well organised trip and fantastic guide (Anne). It’s a long day (7am to 6pm), but rest stops are built into the itinerary. Being offered a free light breakfast at the Rock and Treehouse, our morning rest stop, was a real bonus but I’m not sure everyone is offered this. The lake is absolutely stunning and not to be missed. It would have been good to know in advance that it is a 2.5 hour drive from Khao Lak, however it was still worth the drive.

Det var en meget flot tur. Den var længere end annonceret, tættere på 12 timer end 8. Men der er også 2 timers transport hver vej. Vi blev samlet op præcist, og vores meget søde guide var rigtig flink til at fortælle om tidsplanen, herunder hvornår der var toiletpauser. Der var desværre ikke redningsveste til børn på båden, så derfor måtte vores 7-årige nøjes med meget stor vest. Al mad og drikke var meget lækkert. Lad være med at forvente at se dyr. Til gengæld masser af smuk natur!

Väldigt lång transfer till sjön vilket inte framgår av beskrivningen. Väl framme var utflykten fantastisk. Djungelturen var krävande för vissa i gruppen vilket gjorde att vi andra fick stå och vänta väldigt länge. Det samma gällde besöket i grottan.

This is a long day, with long bus trips but worth it. The lake is stunning and really enjoyed the boat ride, cave and floating restaurant. You can only swim with a life jacket which is a new experience! Fried fish was delicious. The hike is more a short, gentle stroll and I would’ve liked more from this. The whole day was doable in sturdy sandals. The guide was great and took us for an ice cream stop on the way home.

Overall it was a really good experience. The views were brilliant. The cave was very dark and slippery though. We were handed torches but that meant we weren’t able to use both hands to steady ourselves. The lunch was really good. We would have appreciated more time at the swimming and kayaking experience. A very long and tiring day but worth it ??

Es war ein langer toller Tag. Es hat alles gut geklappt. Mir hat gefallen, dass wir eine relativ kleine Gruppe mit Minibus waren. Wir hatten kein LongtailBoot sondern ein ganz normales Motor. Wir sind auch nur kurz in eine Höhle. Der Aufenthalt auf dem Steg beim Mittagessen hat sich bissl gezogen, keiner von uns ist dort schwimmen gegangen, war nicht einladend dort. Der Guide hat englisch und deutsch gesprochen, sympathischer Holländer. Er hätte gerne mehr zum Land und Leute erklären können.

Det enda som var bra var båtturen och se klipporna. Man blev upphämtad på hotellet väldigt tidigt och fick en fattig frukostbox från hotellet med... halv 7. Sen fick vi inte lunch förren efter 2. Alla var vansinnigt hungriga. Sen skulle vi vara på en flytbrygga 1,5 timme och chilli där det inte fanns nåt att göra alls... bilderna som ligger på hemsidan stämmer dåligt. Man gick inte på några öppna fält utan 800 m i en djungel.... det hade vi redan gjort på andra utflykter så det blev en besvikels

Pick up var præcist til tiden - meget dejligt. Manglende deadlines betød ufatteligt meget ventetid på andre turister/medrejsende der tog sig rigtig god tid. Det ødelagde oplevelsen lidt for os. Frokosten var velsmagende men kold, måske det burde være buffet fremover? Programmet var rigtig godt og længere end forventet ud fra beskrivelsen. 12 timer fra Pick up til drop off. Mange timer gik dog på at vente på hensynsløse medrejsende på turen.

Det var en intressant resa guiden var bra. Resan dit var bra man kom ifrån turism områden såg hur enkelt många bor. Otroligt fin tropisk natur. Måste ses.

Lake spectacular, not enough information supplied by the guide,boat too big too dock at the steps for the cave,so you had to wade waist deep if you wanted to go in cave. Poor lunch if you don't eat fish or eggs.

Abwechslungsreiche und gut geplante Tour. Guide Olli hat einen tollen Job gemacht und könnte jede unserer Fragen zum Park, Pflanzen und Tieren beantworten. Festes Schuhwerk und Wechselkleidung bzw. Schuhe empfehlenswert.

Bei Starkregen würde ich so einen Ausflug nicht mehr machen und auch erwarten das er abgesagt wird! Die Tropfsteinhöhle muss nicht auf dem Programm stehen.

More details about what's involved prior to booking are needed. Having issues with balance and not being very fit, I would have booked a less strenuous trip as there was a lot of up hill walking and narrow pathways. The guide however was absolutely fabulous and helped me every step of the way. The scenery was amazing.

The views from the long tail boat were amazing and so beautiful. I felt safe and secure - everyone on the boat had lifejackets on. The caves were really stunning . Unfortunately we didn't spot any animals on the nature trail, but the experience was still wonderful. Our guide - Gift - was absolutely great and really enthusiastic throughout the day. A great day overall.
