The ancient world comes to life during this excursion to Ephesus. The classical Greek city of Ephesus was the location of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World – the Temple of Artemis. Gökhan, one of our expert local guides, says, "It's easy to imagine you're walking in the footsteps of the toga-clad crowds that chattered in the streets 2,000 years ago – the archaeological site of Ephesus is so well-preserved, you'll feel like you stepped back in time."You'll travel into sun-soaked hills and olive groves to discover one of the most extensive and complete archaeological sites in the world. On arrival at Ephesus, you'll wander down marble-paved streets, gaze at mosaics in ancient Roman houses and admire epoch-defining buildings such as the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian and the Grand Theatre. Your guide will explain the historical context and point out the most interesting features. You'll also walk through the museum here, too, which is filled with digital exhibits that're designed to help reimagine what Ephesus looked like back during its golden years. After this, it's time for a buffet lunch at a nearby restaurant – the perfect chance to refuel before the next stop.You'll round things off with a visit to a ceramics factory to see how Turkish pottery is made. Marvel at the precision of the master potter – working only by eye – as he decorates and paints traditional pieces. It's one of the best places to snap up some authentic souvenirs and support local livelihoods.

There was no need for the ceramics factory visit, it would have been better to spend more time in Ephesus itself. The ceramics factory felt like a sales pitch with overpriced items.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and told us about the history of Turkey, Marmaris and Ephesus. He guided us around the site with safety measures. He answered all of the questions fully and made it a perfect day!!!

Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Trip. Unser Guide war einmalig, hat uns viel Wissen vermittelt. Alle Fragen beantwortet. Sehr sehr freundlich auch unser Fahrer war sehr zuvorkommend. Wir hatten uns Ephesus nicht so groß vorgestellt und eigentlich ist es auch noch größer,da nur 20% der Anlage frei gelegt ist. Es war einzigartig, auch die gesamte Betreuung. Ein riesiges Angebot an kulinarischer Versorgung. die lange Fahrzeit wurde aber mit kleinen Pausen unterbrochen.

Enjoyed the ephesus tour overall very informative the immserive experiencenat the end was fantastic. Very long day despite being told it was 12 hours it was 14 no need to go to the ceramics shop very nice stuff but just a waste of. Time not even on the itrniery The little village was nice but didn't get long enough there I think. Dropping the ceramic tour would be recommended

Well organised, breakfast experience was great and, importantly, we had excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Good sized group. Ceramic factory/shop was interesting but not essential. The time could have been spent visiting elsewhere of historical significance

It was a wonderful experience for visiting Ancient Ephesus. I would like to recommend a tour with a big bus than small group with mini bus for safety and more comfortable. I think next time we will recommend a group of our church community to come with TUI. As Ephesus is a part of Christian Church History.

I enjoyed the history and the experience. I didn’t enjoy the pace it was way too busy our guide seemed to be in a rush. When we did catch up he had already started his talk and I missed some of it. Feel the ceramic factory visit should be dropped and I would have maybe had time to see more of Sirince . I only had 20mins to look around before I had to get back to the bus.

Guide excelent, breakfast and lunch fantastic. Just one point to emphasize that cannot take any wheelchair passengers as only suitable for beginning of walk and would need to return to minibus and taken to collection end. We had misleading info here but nevertheless enjoyed the trip.

Me and my friend loved everything about the trip there wasn’t a moment we thought we made a wrong decision of booking the trip there wasn’t a lot of history and so many information that i never knew i would definitely recommend this trip to anyone that loves history

Vulcan the tour guide, did extremely well, he delivered the history of Epheseus concisely and simplicity. Vulcan was very attentive to our individual needs and ensured our safety. He presented with humour and was very sociable. The tour itself was complimented with two very good meals provided, the hosts at both venues were efficient and the food itself was nice. The ceramic visit was interesting as was the wind tasting and shopping. Epheseus itself was breathtaking, never to be forgotten. Xx

I was sold this trip as ephesus nothing was mentioned about markets and wine tasting as my son who has austism loves history however they were given no time to enjoy the amazing ephesus as it was rushed through then at the wine tasting he was offered alcohol despite the fact he is just 16 yrs and because of his austism he fixes on one thing and all I have heard is that he was offered alcohol, it has totally ruined his experience and I wont be booking another trip with tui

Sales manager wasn’t too much detailed, Bus driver (black bus) was sick, was coughing and sneezing the whole way long. I kindly asked him to put mask on his fase, he refused. Guide (English group) - superficial person for this role. A lot of jokes, fun, rush and in parallel not very much information about the historical context of the place. Meal - bad quality; Program - doesn’t make sense, needed to be reviewed, more time to stay in Efhesus itself would be great!

The guide was really well informed, very friendly, told us what to be aware of, stopped several times to point out things of interest & gave us time for photos The breakfast and lunch was excellent, the local people so friendly The guide told us that the marble was slippery, but we didn’t realise how slippery it was, we did manage to stay upright The virtual rooms were amazing There was so much included in our day it was tiring, but so enjoyable

Amazing experience to visit such an important ancient historical city. Food was beyond our expectations. It is a very long day but worth it. If the mini bus is completely full the 2 outer rear seats were difficult because of the intrusion of the wheel arch. Guide was excellent ??

Efeze beschrijft een behoorlijk stukje geschiedenis met zijn archeologische bouwwerken die nog overgebleven zijn. Daarnaast is zijn museum met zijn bewegende beelden zeker de moeite waard. De stop bij een keramiekfabriek is de moeite waard. Nadeel van deze trip is de lange afstand vanuit Marmaris waardoor er teveel tussenstops werden gemaakt waardoor wij veel te laat terug waren en om die reden nog moesten haasten om op tijd bij het avondeten in het hotel te zijn.

I liked our guide, Al's enthusiasm and knowledge and willingness to share and explain. Our driver was careful and considerate. The lunch was a bit lack lustre and the visit to the village a non event. I found the ceramic visit interesting. But the main visit to Ephesus outstanding.

Our tour guide Ipe was amazing. Such a fount of knowledge. The minibus we went on had a few issues with a/c and so we were uncomfortably hot for all of the journey there and some of the way back. The driver and Ipe tried really hard to sort it out though. Would definitely recommend this trip!!

Long drive, can be uncomfortable for tall/big passengers, breakfast wasn't that appealing. Apart from these few negatives, the tour went well. Prompt pickup, guide kept party informed throughout the whole day, Ephesus itself is a sight to behold
