The landscapes of Sao Miguel Island can't fail to impress. This scenic tour takes in a pineapple plantation, the Pico de Carvao and Mosteiros viewpoints, and the iconic Sete Cidades twin lakes. You'll stop by Capelas whaling village, explore the charming town of Ribeira Grande, and have the option to relax in the natural hot springs of Caldeira Velha. We'll also visit Lagoa do Fogo, a crater lake at the heart of the island.

Het weer had beter gekund. Chauffeur cq gids was een goede en veilige rijder die perfect Engels sprak. Liet ons voldoende tijd op locaties.

Average
Leuk voor mensen die verslaafd zijn aan selfies maken. Je wordt voornamelijk rond gereden om langs de weg foto's te maken. Je wordt bij een park met natuurlijke hot tubs afgezet waar je niet in mag want je moet het een week vooraf reserveren. Dit had de reisleidster ook niet verteld bij het boeken.

Leuk was de variatie die de gids aan de excursie gaf. Een minpuntje was dat de hele groep ging lunchen, behalve wij. Maar dat zat voor ons niet bij de dagtocht inbegrepen. Dus wij moesten ons anderhalf uur zelf vermaken. Terwijl de rest van de groep in een restaurant zat.

Veel stops onderweg, zodat je alles rustig kon bekijken. Vriendelijke gids die veel wist te vertellen. De lunch was nogal massaal, leek een beetje op een vreetschuur.

Beetje lastige start, ze stonden vast in het verkeer er waren die ochtend drie ongelukken die de tour 45 minuten vertraagde. Uiteindelijk kwam het goed, eenmaal onderweg hield onze Iveco minibus er mee op, terwijl er van een mooi uitzicht punt genoten werd er een grote luxe Scania touringcar gehaald. We reisden door en maakt zonder gehaast het hele programma goed af. De pech mocht de pret niet drukken.

Leuke tour met hele mooie uitzichten. Vervoer met minibus voor max 8 personen. Gids wel moeilijk verstaan baar als je achteraan in het busje zit. Misschien was een microfoontje handig geweest.

Super enthousiaste gids, die ons veel van het eiland heeft laten zien, ondanks de mindere weersomstandigheden ( bewolking- mist). Uiteindelijk toch nog alles gezien!
