There's nothing quite like lying back and feeling the sea spray as the sun warms your body. And if lazing on deck sounds like your perfect day, then this Thassos cruise is for you. You'll enjoy a day soaking up the views and tucking into a fresh barbecue lunch between swimming stops.First off, we'll head to the port where your boat awaits. Then you'll set sail into the Aegean. Your captain will strike a course along the coast, giving you panoramic views over the mountains, cliffs and dinky fishing villages. And around midday, you'll drop anchor at a secluded beach – one that's only accessible from the sea.Dive in and swim in the clear waters, stretch out on the beach or grab a snorkel to check out the marine life. You'll be served a barbecue lunch on deck, after which you'll have more time to sunbathe or swim before sailing homewards. The captain will make other stops for swimming during the trip, too.

The description in the tui app suggested the trip would be a journey around the coastline with the occasional stop to swim. What we actually got was a trip no further than a mile from port stopping at 4 beaches all in sight of one another. Each stop was an hour in length and 2 hours for lunch. I like a swim, but unless you are training for the Olympics then 5 hours is excessive! More of the beautiful coastline and less stops would be better in my opinion and a change of description the app.

The trip itinerary was changed and we weren't informed until after we had sailed. There was no beach stop for lunch, so we all just sat on the boat and waited 1.5 hours for lunch to be prepared. We had 2 vegetarians who didn't get their ordered meal. The second swim stop was less than 20 minutes.

Southern Delights is actually Norther Delights!! Fabulous time although, none of the staff explained anything. No one said which bay we were in, how long we had at each stop or even when lunch was being served. It was a complete mystery trip!!!

No safety guidance from the crew It was literally 15 minutes down the coast & stop for 1 hour then another 5 minutes down the coast to stop for 2 hours while lunch while lunch was cooked, which was very tasty The trip back to the harbour felt rushed, I'm assuming there was a sunset trip going out after ours ended I feel more stops for shorter lengths of time would be better as most people were sharing how bored they were waiting once they had had a swim. Not up to TUI's normally high standards

Firstly it wasn't southern delights, that is now Northern delights, thr boat leaves Thassos then just out of site of the harbour it stops at awful beach that is a quarry, it stays here about an hour, it then goes about 10 mins further and stops in a bay, not even a pretty bay can't even swim ashore, an hour here then 10 mins to a beach with a hotel in where lunch is served, 2 hours here then 30 mins back to Thassos, no commentary, an expensive bar, worst boat trip I have ever been on our of many

On arrival harbour no indication of what boat we should be on as no TUI rep available only by being with other TUI customers did we identify we were on the right boat. No safety briefing , no guide as to where we was going & no checking of ticket so anyone could have boarded the boat. No secluded stops & a dusty Working quarry was not what was advertised. BBQ stop was far too long as took an age for food to be ready. Worst TUI organised cruise ever been on. Totally miss sold cruise.

Hi to advise, we have just got onto the coach to return to our hotel, having booked the 'southern cruise.' Only to have been driven to the north of the island. And gone on one of the worst boat trips I have ever beenon. To give prior warning, we will be making a formal complaint. We were given no information that we would be put on a different cruise to what we had booked and paid for. No communication from TUI or the cruise team. An absolute rip off and I require a full refund.

The trip was not as advertised and contrary to what we wanted.. The trip was in the north and the boat different which was too small for the number of passengers and had inadequate/poorseating ( I sat on the gangplank), some people had to eat standing up due to lack of seats. Smoking was allowed everywhere. The admin was poor, we were told to go to the wrong place for pick up resulting in us waiting in extreme heat for 40 minutes. A separate complaint made on the day but no response so far.

Too many people on board for size of boat as a person with a disability found its not suitable should have been informed when we booked did ask was told it would be ok but it's quite a walk from drop off to the actual boat and as I said the boat was packed with large groups one off which brought on there own alcohol and drank all the way crew never stopped them and to me that was dangerous and spoiled everyone else's day

Absolutely terrible excursion. The bus was an hour late, no communication, we were dropped in town and just left, luckily a lady was an ex Tui rep so she called Tui, eventually a guy came and frog marched us to a boat, there were barely any seats left, no where to lie down. When we eventually sailed we barely went anywhere before they dropped anchor, no communication again and we were told we would be there for 2 hours , then taken to a beach by a building site, told to come back at 2 for remain

Biggest issue with this day Massively overpopulated Boat probably safe for 25/30 people However double that onboard Not able to sit down Barely enough room to stand. The boat we went on was much smaller, and a different type than the one on the photograph. There was no opportunity to go ashore at any time, or to be in water less than about 3m deep, which meant less confident or non swimmers had to remain on board the whole time. The food was acceptable, though not great, and the staff were nice, the weather was beautiful. Not quite u to the usual Tui standard.

I love swimming and snorkelling. This meant that swim stops were good for me. There were others on the boat who would not go into the water particularly due to the depth. A beach stop with a chance to wander in a small town would be good for those people. I also feel that the stops were in places that weren’t that interesting. If the boat had gone in the opposite direction the views of the cliffs would have been stunning. BBQ was good and the prices of drinks purchased was good too. Thank you.

Picked up from hotel and taken direct to boat. Everything on time. Boat was in excellent condition. The sailing took us past some lovely coves and beaches. The sea was a beautiful colour ever changing. Lunch was a nice BBQ steak and a Greek salad. Small bar on board at reasonable prices. Some great stops for swimming from the boat. A great trip. No issues really. The boat crew could possibly make a few more annotating the route to what we were looking at. They did make some to be fair though.

Your typical boat trip. A nice clean and tidy boat, with plenty of room and seating. Friendly boat crew. 4 good opportunities to jump/climb off boat and swim in clear, clean and warm water. Nice lunch. Only downside was that, when travelling from north of the island, be prepared for a transfer of almost 1.5 hrs there, and again back.

The BBQ lunch was lovely, the morning bread and coffee were pleasant, the crew were very friendly and the prices onboard were very reasonable. The pickup was a little late (Greek time :) ) and the driver then seemed to be in a bit of a rush but that did not diminish our enjoyment of the excursion in the end.

The cruise itself was fantastic however the coach driver who picked us up was driving a full coach on windy roads hands free because he was using his mobile phone. So dangerous. He then stopped and changed drivers and he was fantastic but the first driver put everyone in that coach at risk.

Great swim stops, as long as you are okay with deep water swimming from a boat. You need your own mask and snorkel or goggles.Good quality food. Some stretches were a bit choppy and nausea inducing, but that's just down to the weather. Recommend taking travel sickness tablets if you are prone to motion sickness.

Over all we loved it, the views and the chance to swim at stops made it for me and my two boys. Although it was ok, the food was a little bit of a letdown, completely understand their can’t be loads of choices but but stake can be an acquired taste and personality didn’t enjoy as to chewy. The captain and crew were brilliant and even though there was an accident involving a customer hurting their leg they handled it as best as possible and all worked to keep her as comfortable as possible

Lovely trip, stopped at 4 places for swimming off the boat which was relaxing and refreshing. Minor downside was that the barbecue for pescatarians was a basic tin of tuna and not fresh fish as anticipated. Surprising for an island full of fishing. Meat eaters well catered for. We didn't do the full south coast unfortunately due to the wind direction. Overall I would recommend this. Boat has plenty of shade too.

Lovely trip. Had a shared taxis to the port and the driver told us about the places we went past. Boat was a nice size with lots of places to sit in shade or sun. Stopped in several bays for swimming in crystal clear warm water. Lunch was delicious. Only negative was the number of wasps that appear whenever food is around.

It was a very relaxing trip with 4 swim stops. The staff were really nice and helpful. Lunch was reasonably basic, but tasty (bread, BBQ meats and salad). One of the most relaxing boat trips I've been on. Only minor disappointment was that we were told a small boat would take us to shore to a village to look around at lunchtime. This did not happen and we were not offered this option. Having said that we really enjoyed the trip, but when booking it is helpful to give correct trip details.

Excellent trip with helpful friendly staff. We were disappointed we didn't see Aphrodite's Tear or have a bbq on the beach but appreciated the captain's decision to avoid the afternoon wind and swell! We were given adequate time at each of the the four swim stops. Wouldn't hesitate to plan a repeat trip next year in the hope of going the planned route!

Very expensive for what was offered- food extremely basic- vegetarian option was limited and basic, the meal was basic and not much was given and I do not eat a lot. There were not enough actual beach stops were you could anchor and actually go to the beach. The seating was very uncomfortable and the lay out on the top deck could have been better thought out. I was disappointed with this trip as I expected a lot more for the amount of money paid per person - not good value at all.

Very well organised. Staff friendly. Beautiful stop offs. Tasty bbq food and drink. Aliniki stop off was good for us as we were mobile and had good mobility, however the scramble across the rocks was a little dangerous in my opinion and a better route would be beneficial so others can have the opportunity to see this beautiful place. Especially the archaeological site there.

I had a great day on the cruise. It was a shame it was too windy to get round to Aliki but the cruise was still worth doing. The swim stops were beautiful and the food served for lunch was delicious. I was the only solo traveller on the trip but wasn't bothered by it.

It was sold to us that the captain and crew were super friendly, whereas they were miserable and asking a question seemed like a chore. There was one lovely boy on the cruise who was more helpful but the others were miserable. There was no explanation of what was going on, and it just felt abit meh!

-Ik raad aan van te voren goed te ontbijten, of zelf eea mee te nemen. Het zoete, droge broodje wat je bij aanvang krijgt stelt niet zoveel voor. - De BBQ bestaat uit één stuk vlees, 2 sneetjes brood en ca 2 eetlepels salade. Vlees & salade vers en smakelijk. Echter voor een grote eter mogelijk iets te weinig. Leuke excursie, goed geregeld. Voor kinderen die nog niet zwemvaardig zijn niet zo geschikt; het zwemmen gebeurt vanaf de boot. Je kunt niet staan op de plaatsen waar je zwemt.

A fun day for all the family. The staff were attentive and the food was lovely. The boat was t crammed with people. There was plenty of space to move about, sunbathe and swim.

There was lot of space on the boat, not too packed which really made a difference. All staff were helpful and friendly. We were disappointed that we didn't get to aliki as this has been highlighted as the pinnacle part of the trip with the chance to take beautiful photos etc. It should be made clear that its not 100% that you will visit there due to the weather .

The staff were nice enough until an issue with the anchor moving obviously panicked them. The tan down the boat shouting at me and my son- we had t done anything! Once they solved the problem- and realise we weren’t involved- they never returned to apologise. The cruise stopped 4 times- 3 places were accessible by road. Seems a little overpriced for five of us to swim

We very enjoyed the cruise, the food is light and cold. Nice to have snack with you in case you still hungry. They do sell snacks and drink

We loved the boat for the trip. It was so much more comfortable than the normal boat for these kind of trips. There was plenty of shade but you could sit in the sun if you wished. There was a lovely breeze so this was quite enjoyable. The breakfast cinnamon bun was ok and the lunch and glass of wine quite enjoyable. There was not any direction from getting off the coach at Limenaria as to which boat to go so it would have been easy to get on the wrong one. However a very enjoyable day.

The trip itself was great but it would have been useful if your TUI rep had mentioned that transport was included as we ended up paying for a taxi to get the port. The rep also failed to say that breakfast was included and she failed to bring any literature with her which had the itinerary for the experience (this was reading available on the boat) ! When I spoke to her afterwards she seemed uninterested about the fact that transport was available which was also on my confirmation email.

Great boat trip with 4 swimming opportunities. Staff took quite a few people on a small boat to shore at one of the beaches. A breakfast bun and coffee were provided, together with a lovely lunch of salad, massive piece of pork steak, bread and wine. Staff were really nice. On the way back, the captain was great when a customer requested an impromptu party, for those who wanted to join in with a little dance, fab fun:). Had great chats with some lovely people from Germany. A perfect day out.

The boat excursion was great. Staff were friendly and informative. Really enjoyed being able to dive off the boat and swim for a reasonable amount of time. Food was pretty good although a little basic. Think potential holidaymakers should be made aware that swim shoes are a good idea as Aliki beach is very rocky.

This was the best experience! You get 4 stops and you get to swim in the high sea in all of them, unless with the lunch stop if you prefer they will take you to shore on a little boat and you can explore the village for about 1h. We just wanted to swim. The bbq is simple but delicious, the staff is super lovely. such a brilliant way to spend the day.

Great fun , excellent service from all the staff . Live music at times to entertain us . 3 swims in the ocean near the coast ( life jackets available) and 1 drop off to Aliki beach . Food supplied was lovely. Freshly bbq pork steak and salad . If you suffer from motion sickness take a tablet and you will be fine . Overall good value for money.

Very scenic and lots of stops with beautiful water, well mannered staff! However just be careful with sea urchins :)
