On the weekend of June 6th and 7th, 2026, Mathildenhöhe will be hosting its World Heritage Festival. This grand event includes the unveiling of the exhibition "A Step Ahead / Einen Schritt voraus" to commemorate the 125th anniversary of their inaugural exhibition in 1901.For each day of the festival, you can purchase a combined ticket. This ticket is valid for the entire day and can be used at all participating venues during their operating hours.Your combined ticket to the World Heritage Festival grants you:
- Entry to the Exhibition Hall featuring the "A Step Ahead / Einen Schritt voraus" exhibit
- Access to the Museum Artists' Colony Darmstadt
- Entrance to the Wedding Tower
- Admission to the Artists' Houses Olbrich, Deiters and Large Glückert House
- A one-day public transport pass (tariff zone: 4000 of the RMV, Darmstadt city area)
In addition, your combined ticket includes a guided tour of the World Heritage Site. The tour around the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt’ provides an engaging narrative of the entire complex and includes a visit to one of the Artists’ Houses. English tours are available on both Saturday and Sunday, with other guided tours conducted in German.

Please note that the exhibition "A Step Ahead / Einen Schritt voraus“ will be open to visitors from 11.00 am on Saturday (6 June) as part of a ‘soft opening' Following the official opening at 6.00 pm, entry to the exhibition building will be free. The exhibition is open on Saturday between 11.00 to 5.00 pm or 7.00 pm to midnight, and on Sunday between 11.00 am and 6.00 pm. Last admission is at 11.00 pm on Saturdays and 5.00 pm on Sundays
English tours of the UNESCO World Heritage Site are offered at 1 pm and 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday, all other guided tours are in German. The duration of the guided tour is 90-minute
Due to weddings taking place in the Wedding Tower, entry on Saturday (6 June) will not be possible before 3.30 pm
