It's easy to see why the Venetians called Zante the ‘Flower of the East'. This tour takes in some of the island's prettiest villages and the remote Anafonitria monastery, too. And there are local speciality tastings, plus a boat trip to the Blue Caves. Konstantina, one of our local guides, says, ‘This tour has it all – a monastery, the Blue Caves, olive oil and wine. But my favourite part is when guests ask me for more info so that I can share the secrets of Zante with them.'You'll kick off at Bochali lookout point for camera-grabbing views over the Ionian Sea. Next, you'll get a flavour of the Zante countryside with a visit to a family-owned organic olive oil mill and museum. Learn about the pressing process and sample some of their liquid gold. The next taste is a traditional sweet treat in Kampi, a hamlet nestled in olive groves. Then it's on to the 14th-century Anafonitria Monastery, famed for its frescoes. With its rustic stone exterior and rural setting, it's a real blast from the past.In the afternoon, there's a stop for local speciality tastings – wine, honey and more – in a village shop en route to Cape Skinari, the island's northernmost point. Here, you'll hop on a boat to the Blue Caves, one of the deepest points in the Med. Carved into white cliffs, its sea-smoothed walls reflect the azure waters like a mirror. There's also a swim stop, where you can cool off near the caves.

Kay was amazing giving us lots of information and history of the island we absolutely loved the tasting and sight seeing plenty of photo opportunities and met some lovely friendly locals (where we had to buy the most amazing honey and lovely Christmas ouzo from Demetri) the monastery was so beautiful and peaceful. Had a lunch stop at a family run tavern that do take card (euros needed for the little family honey/wine stop) which was absolutely yum! The blue caves were breathtaking well worth it!

Weather was atrocious so trip should really have been cancelled. Kay did her best to keep us entertained and the coach driver was excellent in such ridiculous driving conditions. Olive press was good and informative and the only attraction that was guaranteed. Monastery was closed down to weather and the blue caves boat trip was only decided on at the last minute - sea was a bit rough so not good for anyone either sea sickness although the boat guys were great and did their best.

The guide we had was excellent she not only told us about the places on the tour she was very informative about the island and Greek life in general. The boat trip to the Blue Caves was somewhat underwhelming as we didn't actually go into them to see the blue fluorescence of the rocks in the water.

Loved the whole trip.. Demitris was an excellent coach driver! Kay (?) was a fabulous Tui guide, we loved her knowledge. A fantastic way to see the island and sample local delicacies including homemade wine.

De groep was veel te groot. Meer dan 60 pers. Wij zaten boven in een dubbeldekker met als gevolg dat wij telkens als laatste de bus uitkwamen en de halve excursie al voorbij was. Bij de olijfolie fabriek hebben we niets mee kunnen krijgen omdat het onverstaanbaar was als je achteraan stond. Hier ligt misschien ook een taak voor de gids om dit in de gaten te houden.

I have lodged a complaint with the Tui rep in our hotel. The boat trip to the blue caves became a very frightening experience as the boat broke down around the caves and two rescue boats had to be called. In quite choppy conditions we all had to clamber across our boat into the rescue boat. Whilst myself and wife stayed relatively calm other passengers were very distressed. The boat was clearly not fit for purpose and put us in some danger.

Kay was amazing really made the experience. There was one super rude lady who was in the group and Kay handled it well but that aside she was really knowledgeable and made for a great day! There was quite a lot of time spent driving on the coach it could have been nicer to have a few more stops and maybe even include shipwreck beach on the tour and include lunch for the price that was paid

Loved the tastings and the complete tour. Sylvia, our guide was very informative and entertaining too. The lunch stop at the taverna was great, food was excellent and the price was good, no overpricing for tourists needing to eat lunch, so well done to them! The Blue Caves boat trip was good but the sea was a little choppy, so we were glad to have seen them but also glad to get off!! All round no complaints.

Olive oil factory was very interesting. The Monastery is the headline for the tour but only a 15 min stop and not especially interesting. The boat trip is good but the boat and resort are very smelly of diesel. The guide was really good and educated us with her knowledge as a local, but some more quiet time on the coach would have been nice. A choice of restaurants for the lunch break is preferable, though there was nothing wrong with the one we visited.

Pick up time was as planned, and Kay our guide was very knowledgeable. Loved all the tasting stops! The olive oil factory was super informative, and the olive oil was so nice. At the wine stop, the owner kept giving us more wine, it was our bday week so gladly accepted - had 12 shots of red/white wine between 2! The view at the taverna overlooking the western coast was breathtaking. There wasn’t much to the monastery but it was nice. Ended the tour at the blue caves and a swim stop! Loved it!!

Guide, stop for tastings was over priced and coned as seen body lotion €8 cheaper local to hotel, but was told very best price on island. TUI should check stops for this sort of thing. Wasted €16 on products as over priced crazy. Overall, great way to see island, but feel let down by TUI for not protecting us from over priced products. Feel cheated when seeing locally cheaper by €8 priced bottles and could batter down another €2.

We liked the Blue Caves , the coffee stop and lunch stop .We were not that keen on the monastery visit ; there are many churches and monasteries in Zante that we had already seen .We were not keen on the tastings either and several people remained on the coach .Would have liked a little longer on the beach instead .The trip to the Olive Oil factory was brilliant .The guide and coach driver were excellent.

We had an excellent guide called Kay who told us exactly what we needed to know and didn't go on and on. This gave us time enough to take in the beautiful scenery. We were also given ample time at each of the places we went to , so you didn't feel rushed or bored. We chose this trip as the other we had booked was cancelled but was so glad we ended up on this trip. Highly recommend it.

Wij vonden de boottocht erg leuk alleen was deze boottocht niet overdekt dus volop in de zon. En de tocht was in het begin van de tour dat had ik liever later in de middag gehad. Het zwem moment was in dit geval veel te kort. Laat dit dan gewoon weg.

Saw lots of different aspects of the island in 1 day. Well planned and ran to time. Guide was superb. Boat trip and Captain George was a highlight. Olive oil factory tour was very busy and overcrowded which made it difficult to fully enjoy this aspect of the tour.

Leuke uitstap met een super toffe gids Bianca. We vonden het klooster iets minder intressant voor ons wel mooi en de uitleg in de olijffabriek hebben we ook niks van verstaan door het vele lawaai . Maar wel eens leuk om te zien.

Bianca gaf heel veel informatie en zorgde ervoor dat ideeën antwoord kreeg op alle vragen. De excursie is zeer de moeite waard om t eiland een beetje te leren kennen, zodat je hierna zelf de mooie plekjes weer kan opzoeken maar nu het verhaal van t eiland kent.

So disappointed with this trip .. Spent most of the time on the bus .. don’t buy the olive oil as it’s the same as in the supermarkets but double the price !! Booked really just to go on the boat trip but was cancelled ?? so instead they offer you a free coffee … Take you to a restaurant that wasn’t very good ( you pay for) 9 hours to do a trip to olive oil and someone with stalls selling wine and sweets , so basically we paid £80 and was ripped off at the olive oil place , worst trip ..

Wij hebben de excursie “Het geheime Zakynthos tour met klooster, Blauwe Grotten en proeverij van lokale specialiteiten” met TUI gedaan en het was een geweldige ervaring! ?? Onze gids Bianca was perfect: vriendelijk, deskundig en vol enthousiasme. Ze vertelde prachtige verhalen en zorgde ervoor dat alles soepel verliep. Ook onze buschauffeur was fantastisch – veilig, vriendelijk en heel professioneel. De combinatie van cultuur, natuur en lokale lekkernijen maakte de tour compleet. Het klooster

De blue caves, waar we de trip voor geboekt hadden, kregen we niet te zien. De kapitein vond het niet veilig om uit te varen!!!! Waarom is ons onduidelijk. Als troost mochten we een consumptie bestellen. Er werd niet gesproken over geld teruggave terwijl dit het duuste aspect van de tour was! Hopelijk horen we hier nog van. ( we zagen dat een andere groep, niet via TUI, hun geld terug kregen) De hele groep was diep teleurgesteld.

Really enjoyable day, excellent TUI guide with informative commentary and a brilliant driver negotiating the tiny roads. The stops were excellent and the time spent at each one was just right. The blue caves boat trip at the end was cancelled by the harbour police due to rough seas but that was fine by me as it meant spending a lovely 45 mins in a restaurant overlooking the sea with a drink or two

Loved the boat trip captain George made the experience great, the tour guide and bus driver were amazing, the tour guide gave us many facts which made the journey interesting and her love and patriotism for her country made it o so special, the taverna in the mountain was lovely with the lovely touch with local cake as treat. Was extremely disappointed and annoyed, sent most of the time on the bus, was taken to a restaurant to see the view and try cake, where we had no prior notice they only take cash, which I don’t carry. The was taken to the middle of no where for lunch where there we was ushered into the restaurant where the driver and rep got fed for free, was a little awkward as we made sandwiches for dinner and there was no where to eat them. This was a bad location for lunch and no consideration own lunches

Als eerste een hele leuke enthousiaste gids Bianca. Leuke tour, ze wist veel te vertellen. Tijd genoeg om foto's te maken. Het was een lange dag, maar we hebben veel gezien van het eiland. Alleen de medereizigers waren de hele tijd een stoelendans aan het doen in de bus, dat was minder. Bianca heeft hier iedereen op aangesproken.

We got to see some much of the island we wouldn't have known about if we'd travelled round ourselves- some really special places and magnificent views. Sylvia our guide was superb! She shared so much information, made it personal and was so friendly. The coach driver was very talented navigating the tight roads. Was a relaxed day - no rushing even though a lot was on the agenda - high recommend

We waren met een kleine groep in een minibus wat erg rustig was. En voor ons de sfeer op een dagtrip als deze wel relaxter maakte. We zijn Een dag later met de halve dagtour boottocht keri en marathonisi geweest vond ik veel drukker. Hele afwisselende excursie en veel gezien. Supergezellige en goede reisleiding Bianca. Vertelt veel wat het ook levendig maakt. Onderweg bij leuke taverne gegeten. Er zit wat commercie bij maar totaal niet storend eiland moet het ook hebben van toerisme. Aanrader

Wspaniala przewodnik Pani Bozenka niezwykle interesujaco przedstawila atrakcje i i zycie na Zakintos. Ciekawy opis miejscowosci sprawia, ze mam ochote za rok tu wrócic i je zwiedzac. Pan który lodzia z nami wplywal do jaskin wykazal sie duza zrecznoscia i precyzja. Wydawalo sie nam, ze to niemozliwe, a jednak potrafil. Poza tym byl bardzo mily i pomocny. Bylo super

Was een super leuke tour veel gezien! En reisleidsters Bianka was een super leuke vrouw! Heel spontaan en vooral de enthousiasme in haar werk maakt het leuk! Ook de man die onze boottocht deed was een erg vriendelijke en grappige man. Kort om een reis die de moeite waard is en waar je veel van het eiland ziet ?? en de bevolking is erg vriendelijk en zorgzaam

Fantastic value for money. We were picked up at around 8.45am and didn't return until 6.30pm. The tour was really good - saw a lot of the Northern part of the island (we were staying in the South) and visited some remote villages which were beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The olive oil factory was great, and the boat trip/swim was stunning! A really enjoyable day!

Our guide, Kay, kept us interested the full duration of the trip, providing extra info, tidbits, history, facts, and current affairs about the island along the journey, keeping the excursion both entertaining and interesting.

I get travel sick & asked Kay on boarding the bus if I could sit at the front. There were no passengers with a disability, so was told i could, which made the experience more enjoyable for me. Kay was very informative and knew her stuff. We never felt rushed, so a busy full-on day, was relaxed. A gift of olive oil soap on leaving the bus, was a nice touch I booked this for a birthday gift and Chris received a happy birthday in Greek and a gift from the olive factory Thank you Kay & Dimitri xx

We thought the Olive Oil museum was very informative and a great start to the tour, the next stop of the oldest olive tree and then onto the cake tasting and coffee break and monastery was equally fantastic and views were well worth the trip alone. The lunch stop was excellent value and quality. The shop on side of the road was pointless and not needed. Boat trip to blue caves was awesome and our captain made it really special and did his upmost to make it a memorable trip. Highly recommended
