If you've seen Cocktail, you'll remember Tom Cruise and his leading lady enjoying a moment at Dunn's River Falls. And on this half-day tour you'll get to scale one of Jamaica's top natural attractions where you'll leave both astounded and slightly soaked – but it's well worth the journey.Imagine a 180-metre staircase of rock with water thundering down it and you get the idea of Dunn's River Falls - one of the few waterfalls on earth to wash straight out to sea. But people don't congregate here to just admire them – they scale them – and luckily it's an easy scramble to the summit.You'll join a guide-led conga chain to get to the top and anyone, from toddlers to seniors, can have a go. But, if you don't fancy the climb, you can follow the trails either side or stay at the base relaxing in the natural pools.

Great trip although they take you to one shop if you have no water shoes. Rep said you can't buy them there or the phone case. You could and they were cheaper. They just wanted you to buy things in the shop like rum, cake, cigars, shirts which were all more expensive. Photographer was brilliant and guides were helping us up. Wish we could have had a few hrs on the beach afterwards as we were taken right back. Worth the trip to go and see it and climb up

We were told we could wear crocks, to then be told on the journey there we could not, stopped at a shop on the way where we had to purchase water shoes!! The guide was no where to be seen once we started to climb! It was an amazing experience and would recommend it, I would just say buy your water shoes from a local shop, much cheaper

Falls lovely and beach looked nice. We were waiting for a guide to take our group up the falls for a while and when he did appear he seem to leave everyone to fend for themselves and only help one lady and her son, so the group was massively seperated

Guide could not be heard on bus. Faced front, noisy bus, not loud enough Guide did not give any details of leaving times for shop visit. People sat on bus indefinitely waiting whilst others pottered about in shop Guide did not give departure time or details for return journey. We headed straight back to bus and felt late. No time to have snack or drink at falls 6 pick ups on way. Journey to falls 3 hours, rep said 1 and 1/2 hour!! Disappointing day. Mostly spent on bus. Not a ‘half day trip’

bus was quite late and no rep about to advise but the bus guide Kevin kept as amused and informed on the 1.5 hour trip to the falls. Definitely not for anyone unfit as the two guides, though really good, weren’t enough for the 20 people in the group as we climbed the fall with a strong current of water against you and the challenge of keeping your footing on the slippery rocks or navigating a deep area. Not for the elderly as stated and a challenge for a fit 70 year old. You need water shoes!

A very enjoyable day out, except for Falls guides that followed us out to our bus, determined to get a cash tip, even bringing a card machine with them. Unluckily for them they were sent on their way with no reward, but were very menacing in their attitude.

The staff on the bus clued us up on the locals we knew what to expect the staff on the actual Dunn’s river waterfall supported the elderly people and encouraged the younger ones to get more involved the driver made sure we got home safe the staff that actually interacted with us were very professional

The whole experience was very well organised. The mini bus arrived early and we were greeted warmly by our fabulous guide. She was very knowledgeable, kind and friendly. The falls were amazing and very well organised. It would have been nice to have a little more time afterwards to explore the beach and take pictures. The Falls guide and photographer were brilliant.

The falls itself were spectacular which you must see. However, please use water shoes as you literally walk through the falls. You need to be very careful where you walk but the guide helps out with this, he was brilliant and kept me safe. If you fear heights then give this a miss.

Essentially, if staying in the Ocho Rios area, you are paying £30 for a short ride to the falls. The falls are spectacular, but suggest just getting a taxi. This isn’t a tour, just a bus to the falls and back with very limited time there.

It's only 20 US dollars for an entry ticket. A taxi to Dunns River from our hotel is 40 US dollars return. Total 80 US dollars. TUI charged us 132 US dollars! Huge mark-up. Nobody mentioned there are Changing Rooms available. Or that you can walk up the Falls by yourself. The Driver told us to wait for a Guide. This cost 40 US dollars.

I really enjoyed this trip. It was a short distance from the hotel I was staying at, about a 5-10 minute drive. George, the driver was courteous and gave directions about what to expect and how to deal with craft sellers, which was useful. The TUI staff at the hotel was helpful and able to sort out my ticket which I booked through the TUI app. However, for some excursions the driver may need a printout or screenshot of the ticket for entrance. I think this info needs to be clearer.

The experience itself was fantastic and we were super lucky it wasn’t a cruise ship day so the falls were quieter than usual. We still had to keep stopping and waiting though for groups infront to move onwards, smaller groups with bigger gaps would be better. Our guide on the bus was great at pointing out sights enroute, as well as keeping us entertained. What we didn’t like was the pushy sales-people on exit, trying to get you to buy souvenirs and the staff waiting at the bus for us to tip them

It was a very enjoyable event, there were some groups of people and our guide made sure we all stayed together. They were very safety conscious. We held hands everyone helped each other. Pedro was our guide and was very clear and helpful. Lionel took the videos and photos and was entertaining too. The instructions on the day could have mentioned that there would be waterproof phone camera cases available to buy. Although I would have been worried about losing it. ??.

Loved this trip! The price gets you transport into the falls with a guide and entry. Lockers are $10US whilst you’re there and there are plenty of places to eat and drink on the site. Guides are good fun and the bus driver was excellent and very knowledgable. All round an excellent trip.

Dunn’s river is a must do. The tour guide and driver, Kevin and Delroy were excellent and kept a long journey there interesting. Then our guide up the falls was amazing nothing was too much trouble for him. You have to walk through a craft market to exit but they didn’t hassle us too much. Overall one of the best trips we have been on.

The cost requires review - based on jumping into a taxi, paying at the attraction and then feeling unhurried to enjoy the other facilities at the attraction is far more attractive than the TUI excursion. We were kept waiting prior to entry for an extended period to complete personal details and receive entry armbands, all of which could have been completed in advance. Due to this delay, our time in the attraction was reduced due to the tight 2 hour return to coach time limit. Guide staff were ??

Did not like the market stall sellers and all the others dotted around trying to scam tourists! They are rude if you say no! I only walked up the side & was quite capable of doing so myself but someone who I presumed was staff said to me he would guide me through. But he then wanted money for this and it was literally just walking up the stairs! The beach & falls itself are absolutely stunning. Tour guide took us to very expensive shop saying it was cheapest on island, as all the guides do!!

The whole experience was nice had a great time at Dunn river falls.The group felt let down because we didn’t get any time to spend on the beach only 1hr to climb the falls from the time we got there. Also there was an additional wait time for a tour guide to pick us up at Dunn river before starting the climb,which took time away from our driver and guide 1hr allocation time to be picked up.

Like - The water falls itself are terrific and good fun to climb - guide both on the bus and at the attraction we’re very engaging and friendly. Dislike - price really expensive for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids aged 16] - just over £222 for effectively 4 hours, 3 of which are travelling and 30 mins stopping off at a shop which wasn’t appreciated. General point - really not sure what the justification is for TUI to make over 12’s pay adult prices - pricing families out of going on trips!!!

It took us 3.5 hours to get there (on maps it was 1.5 hours from hotel). We were made to stop off at a random shop on the way there which felt unnecessary as we paid to see the Falls, not shop. It also felt that this was purely to scam us into spending money, as we were told by the person in the shop that we had to buy water shoes from there as they “wouldn’t let us in otherwise” (this was completely false!). Dunn’s waterfall itself was good, our guide was lovely. Shame the transport let it down

The tour was amazing, worth the money and time. Picked up from runaway bay and takes roughly 30 minutes to get to the falls - we had a mixed tour (others going shopping) so stopped at Gem Palace so that tour could get out and allowed anyone who didn’t have water shoes or waterproof phone cases to buy from the shop. The tour and guide itself at Dunns River Falls was amazing and I would do it again! They have lockers for valuables $8-10 cash. Recommend to buy photos at the end (card or cash).

Howard our guide was really good. He brought alot of fun to the climb. Plenty of people to help you climb. The exit was difficult to navigate as it directed us through the market where you were getting hassled to buy. We eventually found the exit after many twists and turns!

Enjoyed Dunns very much, our guide MJ and videographer Ricardo were awesome. Highly recommend and a must do activity whilst in Jamaica. The mini market area on the way out can be intimidating for some but just make it clear you’re not interested if you’re not. Tips are appreciated too.

Enjoyed our Dunns river experience but did think the group size per guide on the falls was too big a group. This meant at times the rest of the group was way ahead, and you sometimes got mingled in with other groups who were also in the same spot. The falls are very busy and it did feel a bit rushed with no time to enjoy it but overall still glad to have done it.

being dropped at a tourist shop so that the rep/driver could earn a commission from the sales at shop and numbering all the people going into the shop, the shop then charging more than the ticket price of the item was clearly the commission to rep and driver, whilst they drove off to pick up one last pickup. delayed the journey and thus return time to hotel. we paid for the trip so if the driver and rep not paid enough reflect it in the ticket price.

Really enjoyed our trip to Dunn River Falls. Took about 6.5 hours in total, door to door from Riu Palace, stopping at a few other hotels on the way. Tour guide was amazing and really enjoyed the whole experience. Only downfall was people trying to sell you things on the way out. Our guide told us they will tell you something is free and then come to the bus to charge you which was a great heads up. Others in our group went back to the bus with the guide and didn’t get badgered.

Fabulous trip our tour guides Melbourne and Javoy were amazing they went above and beyond to give us a great experience. Amazing ! The bus we had wasn't too great was slow and missed our hotel on the way back and alot of confusion with tickets .

What we found with this trip, it was over subscribed and extremely busy, walking up the water fall holding hands when it was so busy very dangerous, it was hard to find safe places to rest as there were so many other groups in front of you and coming up behind. I think TUI should offer this trip earlier in the day or later in the day to avoid to many people on the water fall at any one time or the guides should wait for the group in front to reach the a certain points before setting off

This was definitely an experience to say the least the hike is such an incredible thing to do whilst in Jamaica however be prepared for a hike! It involves a lot of team work and our group and tour guide wear amazing!

Our tour guide did a good job going to the attraction but on the ride back she did not interact with us at all. The driver was rather unfriendly. Wasn’t going to let us back on the van because he didn’t want the seats wet….when you are at an attraction where you get wet it is hard to stay dry. I had a towel but it was rather damp as well. He said he had to go the airport after he dropped us off. maybe have an extra towel or 2 along or put something on the seats. Other than that, the tour was goo

Dunns falls it's self was great. rep was talking so fast and had a job hearing. Couldn't work out why we drove past site to go to a shop to buy water shoes and waterproof phone cases wasting 40mins.tickect actually tells you to bring them. And they sell them there. We're rushed off bus told to leave bags and towels on bus. Pointed out rest rooms but went straight by. Checked in with guide Trevor (excellent).back to bus no We're to dry off and change ended up sitting on towel for hour and half?

Travel time said approx 1.5 hours to destination and took 2.5 hours plus bus was approx 15 mins late picking up. No one to advise on late transport etc. Be better if a rep was there ready for transport picking up for excursions to update customers
