Picture-postcard Santorini is just around the corner on this half-day tour around the island. You'll find villages – big and small – beautiful scenery everywhere you look as well as history at Akrotiri excavation site and local flavours at a clifftop taverna.This exclusive small-group tour gives you an in-depth introduction to the real Santorini. First stop will be the highest point on the island, Profitis Ilias, where you'll be able to survey the unfolding views and take in the majestic beauty of the island. Packed alot in this tour to see in 4.5hours ending with a small lunch with wine at a local restaurant which was lovely. Size of the party was ideal. I think it was about 18. Guide was very friendly and informative (Maggie). Would have liked an extra 30 minute coffee stop/ extra sightseeing in Meglachori. So start the tour 30 minutes earlier at 8.40am

Spannende Orte und interessante Erläuterungen. Was mir nicht gefallen hat war der Lunch. Die Auswahl ist sicher Geschmacksache. Die Portionen waren winzig und für jeden ein kleines Glas Wasser und ein Glas Wein war jetzt auch nicht sehr üppig, zumal ich keinen Wein mittags trinke.

Nothing at all to not like. The whole experience was very enjoyable, knowledgeable and informative. The guide, Kim, was absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the whole island as well as the villages individually. The visit to Akrotiri was an experience never to forget. Absolutely worth every penny and could not recommend highly enough.

De gids was steeds gehaast, we werden overal doorgesleurd, We hebben geen tijd om op de mooie lokaties iets te drinken of een winkeltje binnen te gaan . De trip zat er ook al op vroeg in de namiddag .De mensen van de groep zijn hier op vakantie, willen ontstressen, maar door zo een gejaagdheid bereik je net het tegenovergestelde. Ik ben niet alleen met deze gedachte , bij wat napraten in het hotel bleek dat IEDEREEN met hetzelfde gevoel zat. Ook veel te duur voor wat er geboden werd.

De gids sprak in het Engels terwijl maar twee mensen Engels waren en de rest Nederlands. Meer een combinatie van de talen zou fijn zijn. De gids was ook wel snel in haar wandelen. Ik had graag iets meer tijd gehad. Soms het gevoel er achteraan te moeten rennen. Maar op zich was de totale tijd van de excursie wel weer prima. Het was prettig om met een kleiner clubje te gaan van ongeveer 12 man. Complimenten daarvoor. De combinatie van rijden, vertellen en het bezoeken van de plekken was top.

Excellent Guide very knowledgeable, nice villages visited with good food and wine to complete the tour. Good all morning tour ideal to fill last day before evening flight home. Some parts in the village walks are uphill, and sensible shoes required. Extra 20 Euros to see the historic site otherwise in a cafe / beach for an hour. Good views across to the capital and islands from the lighthouse stop.

Great trip and guide very knowledgeable, gave lots of information but didn’t talk too much. Needs a bit more time in Acrotiri, we just had enough time to look around as it wasn’t busy but did have to keep an eye on the time throughout which spoiled it a bit. Lunch was ok but don’t get much if you are gluten free, definitely take some of your own bread.

Waar we zijn geweest was interessant en mooi om te zien, we schrokken wel van de prijs ook omdat de opgravingen optioneel waren. Dit was nog eens 20 euro bovenop de 80 euro x 2 personen is 200 euro. Onderweg moesten we nog mensen oppikken. En de tijd van de excursie was van 9:00 tot en met half 3, we waren om 14:00 alweer bij het hotel.

Dit was een zeer afwisselende excursie waarbij we op plekken kwamen die we normaal gesproken niet zouden vinden. Het grote pluspunt was dat we met een klein gezelschap (9 personen) waren, daardoor was het erg persoonlijk. Deze reisleidster was erg goed; ze deed haar verhaal in 'eigen woorden' waardoor het erg interessant was om naar te luisteren (dit zijn we weleens anders gewend). Het afsluitende hapje met wijntje was de kers op de taart.

The mini bus was only suitable for children, very small seats & if you were over 5ft5inc you had absolutely no leg room! Air conditioning didn’t work particularly well either do made the trip a little uncomfortable!! The villages we visited were lovely but no time to enjoy them i.e no time for coffee or to wander through the shops . Then if you wanted to see the lost village you had to pay another €20 per person! Food was ok at the hotel (only a small taster plate) so don’t get excited.

Enjoyed the view from the highest point and visiting church at the monestry. Enjoyed both villages and lunch with nice views. The food was perfect for a light healthy lunch and enjoyed the wine. I didn’t like on this trip lack of toilet facilities, was told not to drink much as no toilets available until Akrotiri which was around 12:30. Akrotiri expensive at 20 euros each so as a family of 4 didn’t bother, it did have nice shady taverna to wait at though albeit expensive.

Half an hour late pick up. Food at lunch was just ok. It would have been helpful to be informed that toilet at Monastry was a euro, as we left our bag on the bus and didn’t have money on us! Bus driver and guide were great. Really enjoyed the tour and all villages visited.

Really good experience. The bus driver was great…Really relaxed, steady style of driving, although the air conditioning could have done with being cooler, and the tour guide was brilliant…Very informative and friendly with a good sense of humour. Would definitely recommend!

We weren't given any time to visit giftshops. We were hoping to find some nice gifts. The shops were empty of people and we were hurried past them. Particularly in Megalochori. We felt the last stop at Panaramic restaurant could have been shorter and the stop at Faros lighthouse was a disappointment.

Leuke rondtrip met veel bezienswaardigheden. 1 minpuntje bij het betalen van 20 euro inkom voor de site was de helft van de site gesloten. Naar mijn mening moesten ze dan maar 10 euro vragen

The big village was wonderful but felt a bit rushed it had a lovely charm about it. The view from the lighthouse was stunning but think we spent a little too long there. The lunch included was very nice and plentiful and a nice touch at the end of the trip.

Our guide was superb and so knowledgeable it made it a great experience. She assisted the group by taking pictures for them and answering any questions. The visit to the monastery was great and spectacular views. Great history at Atkori excavation site and some lovely villages ended by a lovely lunch and a glass of wine. Great.

Out tour guide Kim was excellent! Very welcoming and full of knowledge about the area. She ensured we got amazing photos to ensure we had wonderful keep sakes from the trip! I loved the village of Emporium it was just so interesting. It was fantastic to see the monastery at the top of Elijah‘s mountain. Wonderful trip the Meza at the restaurant was fantastic too with wonderful views

The bus was late picking us up but we enjoyed the excursion especially the Panorama restaurant and Meze lunch with stunning views over the Caldera, we learnt lots about the island and our tour guide was very informative. The lighthouse was not what I expected as shown in the picture. The archaeological site was expensive for what it was and was an additional payment on top

Die Tour war schön. Leider hatte man nicht viel Zeit an den Orten. Ich habe mir dann die Sachen am nächsten Tag nochmal in Ruhe angeschaut und konnte dann auch in den tollen Läden schauen. Die Reiseleitung hat viel erzählt war aber auch etwas zickig was nicht geht

It gave us the opportunity to visit beautiful villages that we would not have done on our own, and given us the chance to revisit in our own time. last Saturday the excavation site was free entry! Which was a result as we feel that €12 per person is a bit extreme. Kim was excellent and gave us just the right amount of local information without “overlaid”

We loved the trip but to be honest would have preferred more time in the first village of Emporio (?) as we had no time to shop in this infamous artisan village and the next village wasn’t anywhere as nice to that would be my improvement. Everything else was fabulous and we loved the ruins and lighthouse and lunch. Our English guide who has lived here 30 years was fantastic! A really great trip I just wish we had longer st the crafts and arts village (my whole reason for booking) thanks

This was a really good small group tour and the guide was excellent. One of best trips we’ve done.
