TUI can do much better as places covered are very limited in Santo Domingo for this day trip charging $95 per person.. The guide Robert Johnson was knowledgeable and did a great job interacting well both in Spanish and English. The lunch buffet food offered was of quality and it was good with entertainment. Unfortunately we were in expensive places for Shopping where TUI has tie-up with and spent much time there instead of visiting places. Please check the Viator itinerary covered for the price.

De gids was nogal vol van zichzelf. Veel praten, alles 4 x vertellen, maar weinig inhoud. We hebben weinig van de stad gezien. De gids was een lawaaipapagaai en drilsergant. Wanneer hij uitgeklets was met zijn vrienden de winkeleigenaars en zijn sigaar was opgerookt moesten we snel verderDe markt bleek geen markt te zijn, maar een uitgebreide souvenirwinkel. Bezoeking kerk was lang wachten voor binnen gaan. Je verwacht met grote groep dst er vooraf gereserveerd is. Een ware tegenvaller.

Felt very rushed to me. Lots of getting off a coach for just five minutes. Not enough free time and way too much time in a gift shop. Santo Domingo was quite beautiful though, the atmosphere in Columbus Square was vibrant and magical. Don’t forget to bring water. Two drinks with lunch is not enough to sustain anyone in thirty plus degrees.

Saw very little, would have been better following a walking tour app. The guide was knowledgeable if you spoke Spanish. Lunch was poor and disappointing, used free time to grab something to eat. Guide was obviously on a commission deal with the visit to the store as wasted 20 minutes on them trying to sell us jewellery. We even looked at how we could leave the tour and travel back to the hotel independently. 14 hour day trip, with 3 hours at the location .. 52 minute tour

Cela devait être 100% Français (certifié par le délégué Lookea) ; au final nous étions deux Français sur 31 personnes .. on nous a dit peu de temps après le départ en excursion que les langues espagnole et anglaise seraient privilégiées et que si cela nous gênait on pouvait descendre du bus et se faire rembourser… étant levées aux aurores nous avons décidé de maintenir la sortie.. sachant que l’on ne pourrait pas se plaindre ultérieurement… Hallucinant une telle organisation… À revoir

Santo Domingo ist eher kein soooo toutistisches Highlight - wenig interressantes. An allen touristischen Hotspotts ist die Polizei (Politur) man fühlt sich sicher - aber es agt schon einiges über die Stadt aus. Unsere Reiseleiter OBAMA war toll - er hat viel erklärt und hat alle Fragen beantwortet. Das Mittagessen war sehr gut ...... Die Schokoladenverkostung war sehr gut .... Den Ausflug sollte man auf jeden Fall machen um mal aus der AI Anlage rauszukommen - sonst sieht man vom Land gar nix .

Not enough detail in English. Not enough historical commentary in English. Many landmarks were not discussed or introduced at all especially not in English. The guide spoke in Spanish extensively and his English was insufficient. The cathedral was amazing.

Being dropped off at a service station with no Explanation and waiting 45 minutes for onward transport is not exceptable. Then being dropped of on the way back at a chocolate factory after driving past our hotel is a joke then waiting again for onward transport is no exceptable. The guide was ok and the coach was ok would I recommend absolutely not.

El guía, "Obama" (así nos dijo que lo llaman) bueno en lo suyo, pero no como compañero. Luciano, el chófer del bus, hizo un excelente trabajo pero "Obama" lo increpó todo el tiempo con pedidos absurdos. Por ejemplo en la vuelta, hubo un accidente de tránsito en la vía contraria por lo que Luciano, cómo debe ser, redujo la velocidad porque había muchos vehículos y personas cruzándose en nuestro lado de la calzada a lo que "Obama" le gritaba que acelere, lo cual hubiera sido una irresponsabilidad.

Der Ausflug war wirklich sehr gelungen. Der Fahrer hat uns pünktlich abgeholt, und anschließend ging es gemeinsam in Richtung Santo Domingo. Unser Guide „Obama“ hat uns während der Fahrt und der Tour viele interessante Informationen vermittelt und mit seinem Humor immer wieder für gute Stimmung gesorgt. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner und abwechslungsreicher Ausflug, den wir auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen können. 😊

We were told that Santo Domingo would be a 2 hour, 15 minute drive. It was 3 and one half hours plus both ways. This is too much bus time. Our guide was very informative, but needed to operate in 3 languages. We got one third of a guide. Trips should be sorted by language.

Santo domingo es precioso pero la experiencia fue muy mala. El guía no nos hablaba de Santo Domingo. Para empezar nos dijo que no nos hablátia en español porque la excursión era en inglés y alemán y nosotros compramos la excursión en español.. nos tuvo todo el día totalmente apartados. Solo hablaba de su vida personal.. que si hablaba 9 idiomas y que llevaba 35 años trabajando para Tuī. Solo visitamos 4 sitios en todo el días. No vimos el mercado. Victoriano cabrera creo que se llamaba.

Volvimos muy decepcionados con la excursión, Pasamos mas tiempo en el colectivo que recorriendo la ciudad. La llegada al hotel fue muy tarde, pasadas las 20 hs. A la ida, se detuvieron dos veces con una perdida de tiempo innecesaria. Lo mismo al regreso en la chocolatería (algo que parecia mas negocio para ustedes que para los turistas). Nuestra decepción fue generalizada entre todos los que compartimos la excursión. Para nada recomendable. Muy malo. La optimización del tiempo no fue buena.

Our guide and driver were great, the restaurant we visited was extremely crowded and the food seemed under seasoned. The tour was OK. Saw a couple of historic buildings but it seems like your being groomed to purchase trinkets from vendors. Also the guides wireless headphone system did not work well. All in all I would not recommend this excursion as it is mostly a long bus ride back and forth from Punta Cana to Santo Domingo

We lost way too much time on the breaks because they were always longer as told and we lost much time due to tourist shops that we were brought to (chocolate manufacture, jewelry manufacture). We had less than 1 hour free time in Santo Domingo which was not satisfying.

Málo casu na prohlídku jeskyní.Zbytecná jízda k presidenckému paláci.Zmatky se sluchátky u kostela.Plná restaurace na obede.(najednou tam byly tri zájezdy.)Pruvodkyne mluvila potichu pritom stacilo nahlasit cas setkání v autobusu.Ale o historii mluvila celkem dobre.

Das Team war geradezu perfekt. Der Reiseführer hat alles super beschrieben und war bei Fragen immer sehr hilfreich. Leider fanden WIR das Mittagessen dieses Mal nicht so gut wie bei unseren letzten Besuchen im Selben Lokal. Das kann allerdings an unserem eigenen Empfinden gelegen haben. An sonsten können wir diesen Ausflug zu 100 % weiterempfehlen.

Our tour guide did an excellent job switching from French to Spanish to English as we had tourists from each language group. It would've been nice to know we weren't an exclusively English speaking group ahead of time. Otherwise, it was a great trip and the guide managed the languages well.

The tour from Punta Cana turned into a long day with relatively "little substance", the bulk of which was clearly travelling to and from Santa Domingo. Apart from a short lunch and a visit to the cathedral, nothing stands out. In fact, there is little to see. Obama, our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. The problem he had was a mix of Spanish and English speaking tourists on board. This meant incessant talking for the long 2.5 hr journey of which 50% was understandable. More ....

The tour I booked was supposed to be in English but the tour guide talked mostly in Spanish. For a 15 minutes talk in Spanish, he said only few sentences in English. I didn’t book a Spanish tour so the whole trip was kinda pointless.

The guide spoke 90% of time spanish. We asked him to explain in English the same as Spanish and he said " complain to Tui" ! Than kept on in Spanish. We have been 12 English and 17 Spanish out of only 3 could not understand English. We have spent more time in a shop in s.domingo than we have been left to walk on a short street. No much of sight seeing. Food was great but very short time.

Nada me gustó, pésimo servicio prometen llevarlo a uno a lugares que no fuimos el Quia solo se dedica a llevar a los turistas a las tiendas donde tiene negocio, los demás turistas también estaban bravos ! ! Nunca los voy a recomendar es mi 3 ves en este país y tome esta aventura con ustedes y a sido la peor experiencia .. el Quia que se hace llamar OBAMA solo se dedica a llevarnos a tiendas !!

De gids praat non-stop, begint 's morgens om 8 uur en stopt niet meer met praten tot je 's avonds om 7 uur weer terug bent in het hotel. Heel veel in het spaans, iets minder in het Engels. De groep is echt veel te groot dus alles duurt onwijs lang: plaspauze is een half uur op deze manier, elke fotostop duurt een uur en de stop op de terugweg bij de chocoladefabriek duurde 1.5 uur op deze manier. Geen aanrader!

Przewodniczka o wszystko podczas wycieczki pytala kierowcy i tlumaczyla, sama nie miala wiedzy a jak opowiadala m.in. o prezydentach i kadencjach to okazalo sie sie podawala bledne dane po tym jak sami sprawdzilismy. Sklep z pamiatkami który rzekomo byl najtanszy byl skokiem na kase bo w uliczce obok byly duzo tansze i atrakcyjniejsze. Ogólnie niczego sie nie dowiedzielismy niz to co sami mozna wygooglac w 5min. The guide was excellent and the lunch was lovely in a beautiful restaurant. The places the guide showed us around were great but would have been nice if we had had more time there to visit a museum or two. I think the visit to the chocolate factory is unnecessary as the prices are extortionate.

More information re the daily schedule and activities in advance would have been helpful. Guide spoke circa 70% Spanish. Also spoke it for long periods - over one hour. Better to work on tri lingual basis

Sprzeczne info dyczace dl przejazdu. Mialo byc 2h20min bylo ponad 3h30min. Slaba znajomosc jez hiszp przez p Laure - przewodnik. Malo przekazanych informacji dotyczacych Dominikany. W parku z jeziorkami turysci zostawieni sami. Inne polskie wycieczki byly z przewodnikami którzy caly czas opowiadali. Wejscie do katedry z audiobukami bez info od przewodnika. Powrót 3h30 min w calkowitej ciszy.

Der Guide redete überwiegend spanisch und englisch. Deutsch sprechen wollte er nicht. Hat uns vertröstet auf später,wenn er mit den anderen Sprachen fertig ist. Kurze Hinweise auf deutsch,während er für die anderen alles ausführlich erklärt hat. Ich habe unter anderem den Ausflug gebucht,um den Faron A Colón zu sehen,stattdessen waren wir in einem Schmuckgeschäft uns hatten nur noch 45 min Freizeit in der Stadt. Kein Preis/Leistungverhältnis . Ich habe darauf hin,nichts mehr gebucht.

Trop court, on ne voit pas assez de monuments, de quartiers alors que la ville vaut le déplacement mais la distance en bus est longue. Dommage que le guide ait privilégié la langue espagnole par rapport aux nombres d'hispanophones, les minorités ayant été défavorisées par le peu d'explications. Le déjeuner était bon mais un buffet pour un car entier nous contraint à manger très vite pour respecter le timing.

Bei der Tour mit dem Bus durch Santa Domingo konnten nur punktuelle Eindrücke gewonnen werden und nur wenig gesehen werden. Die Fahrt lohnt sich so nur wenig.

Het gedeelte wat we bezichtiging hebben was zeker interessant met zijn geschiedenis en de kathedraal. We hadden aangegeven dat we een Engelstalige excursie wouden. Maar er zaten in totaal maar 4 Engelstalige in de bus de rest was Spaans. Wat te merken was de reisgids deed veel in Spaans en wij kregen de beknopte versie. En in zijn proberen het luchtig te houden was hij onbeschoft. Ik wordt niet graag een naam genoemd omdat er maar 4 Engelstalig waren. Of mijn vrouw moslim vanwege een sjaal

Der Guide Obama, so nennt er sich selbst war einfach nur fürchterlich! Obwohl eine auchdeutschsprachige Tour gebucht war redete er fast nur Spanisch auch etwas Englisch uns nur minimal Deutsch, na ja wir waren ja auch nur zu zweit und nicht so Interessant für seine Verkaufsabsichten! Von 2Stunden Beschallung in Spanisch und Englich, ja ich verstehe auch etwas Spanisch ging es seeehr lange nur um ein Gift Shop Valentino in dem er dann auch persönlich eine Verkaufshow als Werbefahrt abzog!

Obama ist ein guter Reiseleiter. Wir haben bei der Buchung auf eine Führung in deutscher Sprache großen Wert gelegt. Leider war diese mehrsprachig und deutsch war immer in geringeren Umfang. So sind nicht alle Informationen rüber gekommen. Das schmälert die sonst schöne Tour. Es geht auch anders. Das haben wir selbst erlebt.

Die Reiseleitung/Guide hat nur auf Spanisch geredet unterbrochen. Kein Englisch und kein Deutsch. Ich als nicht Spanisch Sprecherin hab kein Wort verstanden. Außerdem wo man Essen geht ist es nur touristisch und ganz viele andere Reisegruppen gehen da essen. Außerdem waren wir mit der Gruppe in nem Touri Laden für fast ne Stunde.

12 hour round trip, 90% of the tour was in Spanish. English speakers were treated like an inconvenience. Waste of money and waste of a day of our holiday. Afterwards, I had to look up on Wikipedia to find out what we were supposed to have seen. I asked the guide for an English translation but he kept saying no. DO NOT TAKE THIS TRIP!!!
