Trotz des sehr wechselhaften Wetters ist es dem Guide gelungen einen sehr schönen Tag zu verbringen. Wir haben die Insel und ihre Landschaft auf ganz besondere Art gesehen und es sehr genossen . Auch die Weinprobe wurde mit viel Enthusiasmus der Mitarbeiter durchgeführt. Es hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt.

The Winery To set the expectation level right, this is not Rheinhessen or the Elsass (Riesling lovers) nor Piedmont, Burgundy or Bordeaux. The winery is rustic, still quite young and run only by 4 people. We got to try 3 whites, one rose and 2 reds. The whites came from the surrounding hills in between the valleys and the reds from further away where there is more sun. Anyway these are Madeira wines, climate and soil dependent and they do the best they can do. We had fun and enjoyed it.

Make sure that you are covered by insurance and that the 4x4 are safe to travel ie brakes!!! Plus the condition of the vehicle is very dirty! The wine tasting is a complete rip off and is not value for the money!!!

Die Offroad-Strecke war gut und hat Spaß gemacht. Es war zu wenig Zeit bei der Weinprobe. Diese war 20 Minuten, danach waren es nur noch 15 Minuten um den Ort und den Wein zu genießen. Dafür waren 75 Euro viel Geld. Der Guide war ausgezeichnet.

Seriously need to review the Health and safety of this excursion as a rock smashed the windscreen from a high up landslide - very worrying and could of killed someone when the 4x4 is open roofed I have photos and video

The visit to the cliff was fine and the information from the driver was very interesting. The jeep drive was enjoyable and no issues with safety. The wine tour was not so well organised. We hung around for a while and no one directed us to anything to read or sit down. The walk around the vineyard was basic and the path was slippery in places and no safeguard rope in place. The food to accompany the wine was acceptable and the wine information was adequate. Staff did not interact with individus

Unfortunately TUI changed the date of my booking for this experience twice, so never got to go. The last change was on the day we were due to go and it was cancelled in the morning, so too late to book anything else. Totally unimpressed with Tui

Die Aussichtspunkte waren nicht optimal ( außer Skywalk) die Weingut Besichtigung war nicht informativ . 1 Scheibe Käse und Wurst sollte man nicht als Tapas bezeichnen . Dazu gab es nicht einmal eine Gabrl . Jeder fasste die Speisen an . Außerdem war in dem Raum ein strenger Rauchgeruch . Der Guide war sehr zuvorkommend und informierte unterwegs

Our driver Robert was friendly and enthusiastic. It did feel like we were killing time driving about as we were too early to turn up to the wine tasting. Maybe more stops at photo worthy spots. Off roading was fairly short but a nice novelty- and luckily not scary. The winery is in a beautiful setting but wines weren’t particularly great- though once you’ve had a few it doesn’t matter too much. The snacks were quite pitiful for the number of us sharing them. So definitely eat up before you go.

Guide was funny & informative. We went to the skywalk at Cabo Girao. 2€ to enter but worth it. Off road section was cool. We briefly walked to the actual vineyard where the guy told us about how the vineyard started. This was interesting but lacked information on how the product was made. The wine tasting was really good which made for a noisy return to Funchal! Would definitely recommend!!!

This was an excellent trip, our guide and driver Gill Sousa was superb and really knowledgeable. Stopped off at a few places for photos an even went to the Cabo Girão skywalk. Pick up was on time and returned just after 7pm. The wine tasting and vineyard tour was good. Would highly recommend this tour and hope you get Gill as a guide.

The whole trip was fantastic. The driver Francisco made the whole trip enjoyable. His knowledge of Madeira and it history was unrivalled. The wine tour was a great end to the trip. Seeing the vines and hearing about the wine making process was interesting and of course the wine tasting finished the day well. The glass bridge has a 2 euro entry fee and is well worth the photo opportunity.

Leuke gezellige tourguide die veel verteld heeft over het eiland, maar die ook iedereen leuk erbij betrok. Leuk stukje offroad en mooie uitzichten over de wijnvelden. Verder kleine rondleiding over de wijngaarden en daarna een leuke proeverij gehad. Het enige wat ik jammer vond is dat we vrij snel weer weggingen, dus er was niet veel tijd om nog even na te bespreken met een glas wijn. Al met al, wel een aanrader.

Overall a good day- however we had to wait around a lot for the second Jeep to catch up with us, and as a result the whole experience was 5 1/2 hours rather than the expected 4, which means we missed our dinner reservation in the evening. The wine tasting and off roading were really great though- would recommend. Be warned though if you happen to end up sat in the front (as I was) you won’t be able to stand up with your head through the roof for the off road, which was a shame.

Our driver - I think his name was Joel or John- was excellent. His knowledge of Madeira was good and he made it interesting. His driving was excellent particularly off road through 'the jungle'. the winery tour was interesting and the wine tasting aspect was extremely generous.

Die Tour war ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis, an das ich mich gerne zurück erinnere. Wir hatten eine tolle Truppe, der Fahrer/Tourguide war absolut freundlich und kompetent, die Fahrt über Madeira mit offenem Dach ein Highlight und die Weinverkostung ein gelungener Abschluss. Nur Snacks gab es in bisschen wenig beim Wein, da hatten wir uns ein bisschen mehr verhofft. Dafür gab es beim Honigmuseum einen äußerst köstlichen Poncha.

Our guide was very informative and had such a warm personality, he made our afternoon. Wine tasting was good, as mentioned in other reviews, a few more nibbles would've been appreciated. Overall, really enjoyed the experience and would be happy to go again.

We vertrokken in de regen uit Funchal en sloegen zodoende de Cabo Girao over omdat er simpelweg niets te zien was, maar tegen de tijd dat we bij de wijngaard aankwamen was de zon er weer. We hebben genoten van de wandeling over de wijngaard en de proeverij in de zon. Ook dank aan onze chauffeur Romero die er ondanks het slechte weer het beste van maakte.

Wir hatten das Glück, dass außer uns nur zwei Engländerinnen an der Tour teilnahmen, sodass viel Platz im Wagen war und es sich wie eine Privatführung anfühlte. Zudem hatten wir Glück mit dem Wetter, sodass wir fabelhafte Aussichten genießen konnten. Der Guide war ausgesprochen nett und hat uns viel über Madeira erzählen können. Seine Fahrkünste sind bewundernswert!

Een belevenis die je moet gedaan hebben, een TOPgids die vanaf de start tot het einde het verhaal brengt van het eiland Madeira. De rit brengt u ook in smalle baantjes die de chauffeur met vakkundigheid perfect weet te sturen. Winetasting is terug een stuk cultuur over de wijnbouw die daar van toepassing is. Een echte aanrader als je houdt van avontuur en een wijntje.

Es gibt nichts zu meckern! See Tourguides war prima und die anderen Mitreisenden auch, obwohl wir die einzigen Deutschen waren. Leider war der Wein gar nicht nach unserem Geschmack, da er sehr säurehaltig war. Nicht zu verwechseln mit ‚zu trocken‘.

The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and shared lots of information throughout the afternoon. Having only 8 people in the party meant we all had a chance to ask questions. The wine tasting was extremely good, with a knowledgeable owner of the vineyard, and plenty of wine to taste.

Der Fahrer des Jeeps war super freundlich/lustig und konnte während der Fahrt etwas mehr über das Land erzählen. Die offroad Strecke war für meinen Geschmack super und hat allen im Wagen glaube ich gut gefallen. Insgesamt waren wir mit 3 Fahrzeugen unterwegs. Die Besichtigung des Weinanbaugebiets wurde auch sehr nett von einer Frau übernommen. Schön war es in einer gemischten Gruppe an einem Tisch mit anderen ins Gespräch zu kommen+6 weine zu probieren. Wichtig Jacke einpacken!

Our tour guide (nickname Frank) was great and very informative and the off roading was great fun. Tour information says tour will last between 2 - 4 hours but it’s more like 6 hours so we did nearly missed our 7pm dinner reservation at the hotel but Frank managed to get us back in time. The wine tasting was good although sharing a very small bowl of bread type biscuits and a few slices of cheese & pepperoni with others was a bit disappointing as you should be given a bowl just for your party

Nature & Wine tour. One of the best Tui excursions on Madiera. Picked up by Landrover Discovery by our guide Gil. He stopped regularly to point out the flora & fauna & at view points to take photos. The view from the platform at the highest cliff was jaw dropping. Beautiful scenery on the way to the vineyard. Off road made this trip. Vineyard tour /walk was very informative & the wine was lovely. The location was stunning Would highly recommend for unique experience

Tolles Erlebnis! Interessante Landschaften bis zu Off-road Strecken zum Norden der Insel. Weinprobe mit umfangreicher Erklärung des Weingutes. Es war nur englisch zu buchen. Der Fahrer sprach langsam und deutlich, auch mit vielen Informationen zu seiner Heimat. Er hätte sogar ein wenig mit Deutsch helfen können. Perfekte Tour! Abholung vom Hotel.

En fantastisk tur i Jeep, hvor man ser Den skønne natur på den anden side af Madeira i åben vogn. Guiden fortalte med glæde, alt om øen, folket og naturen. Godt hyggeligt ophold med udflugt i vinmarken og smage på øens bedste vin

Veldig fin opplevelse med fin natur og hyggelige mennesker. Vi likte guiden vår veldig godt, han var veldig pratsom, morsom, hjelpsom og hyggelig. Ga 8/10 på sikkerhet da det ikke gikk an å stramme inn det ene setebeltet i jeepen. Turen avsluttes med fantastisk vinsmaking med en enda bedre utsikt. Anbefales på det sterkeste for alle fart-og vinelskere.

Really enjoyed this trip, getting to see another part of the island was fab and our driver and guide, Diogo was fantastic. The wines were quite nice but the backdrop and views were incredible - that really added to the whole thing. We were a bit disappointed not to get an open top truck and the back was a little squashed but it was a really fun experience and Diogo made sure we got plenty of picture stops and made sure to include everyone in the conversations!

We were picked up at the hotel in a long wheelbase Land Rover. There were eight passengers in total. Had a great time being driven in the hills, some of the time on roads and some off-road on tracks. The mountains were covered in clouds so we had to have the cover up to stop us getting wet - but hey we're English and love the rain. We were then taken to a vineyard to sample their wines and bought a bottle to bring home. Our driver Christopher was excellent - enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Natuur is prachtig om te zien, zeker op de onverharde weg, die “off road” wordt genoemd. Wat tegen viel, was dat er maar 1 stop was, bij de hoge klif. Had meer verwacht en misschien een kleine wandeling (waar moest je anders makkelijke schoenen voor aandoen). De hapjes bij de wijnproeverij waren erg karig, plakje kaas en een plakje worst. Het uitzicht was daar wel geweldig.
