Founded in 1653, Royal Delft is the last 17th-century Delft blue pottery factory still producing pottery according to centuries-old tradition.Did you know that the iconic Delftware is actually painted with black? It only turns blue after firing! This is just one of the many fascinating facts you learn during your visit to the factory.In the museum you will learn about the history of Delftware, admire iconic pieces and check out the life-size Nightwatch in Delft Blue.Then, enjoy a refreshment or lunch in Brasserie1653 overlooking the historic garden courtyard.
