The Khao Sok River really is a sight to behold. Watch it unravel between the rocks as you raft down the river and experience the surroundings from up close on this full day tour. We'll then cap it off with a visit to an elephant sanctuary and the Monkey Cave Temple. Anchali, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘With limestone rocks shrouded in forest and jungle vegetation tangled along the banks, Khao Sok River has to be seen to be believed. Silently drifting through this oasis, you'll hear the wildlife all around us - from a variety of birdlife to lizards, gibbons and even snakes.'The extraordinary sensation of bamboo rafting through Khao Sok National Park is sure to be a holiday highlight. The rafts are made of natural bamboo, for that authentic touch. Float along the water, stopping to explore a cave. You'll be accompanied by professional paddlers for a true immersion in this unique ecosystem. Anchali says, ‘You are probably going to get wet during the trip due to the nature of the bamboo rafts, so dress comfortably and bring a waterproof bag for your tech.'After your rafting adventure, we'll move on to the Elephant Care Project. This rewarding experience allows you to spend quality time with retired elephants - without riding or touching them - and participate in ethically sound activities like walking with them in the jungle. After a typical Thai lunch, we'll end the trip with a visit to the Monkey Cave Temple, from where you can enjoy panoramic views over Khao Sok National Park.

Fantastisk dag inte en minut som var tråkig.Guiden Cherrie gjorde resan till en upplevelse som jag inte glömmer. Forsränningen var fantastisk, elefanterna var underbara.Många har klagat på att resan var för lång men om man vill se något får man offra något och det var chauffören som gjorde jobbet.Har åkt på många utflykter med TUI och denna har varit den bästa.

Uppskattade bambuflotte mycket, lite väl lång transfer från Ao Nang, men samtidigt fick vi möjlighet att se mer av Thailands inland. Vi hade önskat att en guide kunde åka med oss i bilen för att berätta om alla ställen vi åkte förbi, men guiden åkte med en annan transferbil.

The bamboo river rafting was wonderful and serene, we could have done that for hours. Added bonus of a cooking class which we didn't expect. Elephant sanctuary was a terrific experience, amazing to get in the river with them and help wash them off and of course feeding them.

We really enjoyed the trip. We would like to give a special mention to Jana our guide who was amazing throughout and went above and beyond to retrieve our bag which was left at the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant were not helpful at all and concealed our bag unfortunately until we pushed for it back, however, Jana did everything she could to ensure it was returned to us, lovely and fab woman, she made the day

Very relaxing bamboo rafting, how to make Thom Yam was lovely surprise. Liked sanctuary visit a lot. Preparing food for elephant. Walking to mud bath and river for thorough wash. Very patient elephant.great day out. Liked scenery too.

Whole day was lovely especially the elephant sanctuary, there were only 4 people on our tour which made it feel like a private tour only one negative the other couple on the tour were both ill and we had to stop several times for them to be sick which really put us off our lunch ! Guide was lovely and tried very hard to explain everything even though her English was not perfect , driver was extremely helpful would recommend

The guide was amazing and really made the whole trip special. It was more travelling than I expected. The bamboo rafting was fun but it was torrential rain and prob wasn't the safest weather to do it in. Some didn't have ponchos - given the weather, should have been provided. Monkey temple and elephants were fab too.

Kunde ha varit en guide som kunde bättre engelska. Guidens engelska var ofta oförståelig och han berättade inte så mycket. Jag gjorde exakt samma tur från Kao Lak för två år sedan och då var guiden mycket bättre.

Leider wurde konnte bei de Floßfahrt keines des beschriebenen Tiere (Vögel, Eidechsen, Gibbons und sogar Schlangen) gesichtet werden. Dies ist auch nicht verwunderlich, da der Fluss nahe der Straße entlangfließt und die Flöße mit einem lauten Außenbordmotor zurückgeschleppt werden. Das muss auch dem Veranstalter/TUI bekannt sein und stellt m.E. eine bewusste Irreführung/Täuschung dar. Laut Guide ist das normal, "es wurde mal eine Schlange gesehen".

Our guide was excellent, group size was small, and driver drove safely. The river rafting is wonderful and was our favourite part of the trip. No riding at the elephant sanctuary which was good from an animal welfare perspective. Long day driving but worth it!

The day was really lovely, our guide Cherry was so kind and thought us about both animals and vegetation. The highlight was of course the elephants, that alone would we worth the long car ride. The driver and guide made sure we drank enough water through the day also. I am really happy we did this trip! The only thing that was disappointing was the rafting on the river. You could hear traffic from nearby and they kept coming upstream with VERY noisy motors to bring back the rafts all the time :(

The whole day was very well organised, our guide Sun was really informative, friendly and helpful throughout the whole day. Drinks supplied throughout, lovely food and Sun even provided tissues ahead of using toilets knowing there would be non in there. The whole trip was great fun with the highlight being the elephants who are clearly well looked after.

Godt sammensat program, der gjorde den lange køretur værd. Fint med indlagte kaffepauser på køreturen. Godt indslag med guiden , der lavede Tom Yum suppe. Meget vigtigt, at vi var en lille gruppe (6 pers). Tømmerflådeturen virkelig god og fint med kaffe over bål undervejs?? Virkelig god måde at opleve elefanterne på????

Alles gut organisiert, gut erklärt und umgesetzt. Das Elefanten Camp war schön, allerdings bin ich hin und her gerissen zwischen... es ist schön ein Foto mit einem Elefanten zu haben und ihn zu füttern , aber andererseits muss es sein das die Tiere den ganzen Tag von Menschen gebadet werden? (Haben wir nicht gemacht! ) Aber das ist unsere Meinung. Sonst war alles super!

What an amazing experience. This was the highlight of our holiday. The river rafting was awesome, we were all looked after very well. Rafting down the river and seeing the jungle was an awesome experience. Our guide on the raft made us cups out of bamboo and we had coffe in the jungle. We got to meet the elephants and we got to feed them. I was very emotional to get close to these beautiful animals. I will never forget this experience. All staff was a credit and they were so attentive.

An amazing, once in a lifetime experience which was the highlight of our Holiday, I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone as a truly special memory to savour for many years to come. Deze trip vinden wij een absolute aanrader als je op Phuket of in Krabi verblijft. Het duurt vanuit Krabi weliswaar een uur of twee om er te komen met een mini bus, maar dat is zeker de moeite waard. De dag begint met het raften met uit bamboe gemaakt vlotten waar je met z'n tweeën ( en de bestuurder ) een tocht maakt over de Khao Sok rivier. Nog erg onontgonnen en prachtig. Geen verkeer, alleen vogels en natuur geluiden. Voor de rest heb ik geen ruimte meer, maar een aanrader 1e catergorie

De excursie was een en al top! 2,5 uur rijden was het geheel waard! Olifanten werden respectvol behandeld en vonden het modderbad duidelijk erg fijn. Activiteiten ervoor (raften, lunch, aapjes) was ook erg leuk! Enige puntje is dat er beter aangegeven kan worden wat er precies meegenomen moet worden en meer informatie op moment zelf wat we dan precies gaan doen. Er staat badkleding, maar waterschoenen zijn bv ook heel belangrijk! Bij de olifanten moet je namelijk op rotsen in het water lopen.

So quiet and peaceful on the rafts through stunning scenery. Loved the cookery lesson and mud bathing and washing elephants who seemed so well cared for just made holiday. Fantastic trip and so worth the money!! Guide was amazing too.

Turen var helt perfekt. Opsamling til tiden, en guide der virkelig havde styr på det, super smilene og sød. Han hjalp med at tage billeder undervejs så vi alle kunne være nærværende. Turen startede med en kop kaffe og en sandwich efter en times kørsel. ( det var ink.) Derefter videre til temple hvilket var et meget kort stop man godt kan undvære. Dagens højdepunkter var Bamboo Rafting og tiden sammen med elefanterne. Pensionerede elefanter som sover med deres dyrepasser. ?? Fantastisk sted.

Hands on with the elephants was just awesome. The rafting was fantastic, although the water was low and we did have to get off the raft several times to push. The coffee stop was a lovely touch, being presented with the bamboo cups topped it. One observation, less able bodied people would not have got to the coffee stop and may have struggled having to get on and off the raft.

Leuke excursie, lange transfertijd, zou eigenlijk 2 daagse excursie moeten zijn, het meer daar schijnt ook erg mooi te zijn, zat niet in deze excursie, had verwacht iets meer te wandelen daar in de prachtige natuur. Erg goeie en enthousiaste gids die veel vertelde.

Polut jotka johtivat lautoille ja sinne bambukahvitteluun olivat aika jyrkkiä, eikä ollut Turvallista kaidetta tai vaikka narukaidetta mistä saisi turvaa. Muutamia liukastumisia flipflopeilla ja crocseilla nähtiin. Turvallisia kenkiä retkelle painottaisin. Oppaan englanti voisi olla hiukan selvempää, autossa ei mikrofonia, niin ei kuulunut kunnolla takapenkille. Hieno kokemus muuten??

The guide was very helpful, informative and friendly. The driver cared about our safety. Snacks were provided at the toilet stop even homemade sticky rice which was scrumptious. The only down side was we all hoped to spend more time with the elephants. Over all great trip, great people and great way to experience different parts of Thailand.

Otroligt magnifika djur. Kändes väldigt bra att se dem i ett mer naturligt tillstånd, där de fick omsorg och kärlek. River rafting-biten var häpnadsväckande vacker, men lite väl lång. Då resan från Ao Nang var rätt lång var flera stopp inplanerade under resan, vilket bara gjorde resan längre och kändes onödiga. Information angående klädsel för stopp vid tempel hade behövts, då kvinnor inte fick gå in i tempel utan att täcka axlar och knän.

The trip was great, and the guide was amazing. However, it should be made clear that this is not a trip to Khao Sok national park. I don't think that this was clear from the description, and the pictures we saw when booking the trip did not correspond to the actual trip. The bamboo rafting was amazing and it was an indescribable experience at the elephant sanctuary. It would however have been nice to know that you don't enter the national park on this trip.

The whole experience was amazing Cherry our guide was so informative we only expected elephants and got so much more rafting cooking she knew all about flowers and plants too Highly recommended

The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. The elephants are very well cared for . I liked the Thai cookery lesson from the guide and sampling the food that had been cooked One of the best days of my life

Sehr gut , die Zahl der Gäste-nur 9 Toiletten könnten besser sein -war aber ok Mitarbeiter TUI sehr kompetent Interessant auch die Informationen über die Pflanzenwelt Das war der beste Ausflug unserer Reise

Absolutely fantastic day, loved everything, from being picked up at our hotel our guide,Cherry, gave us lots of information about wildlife, crops etc en route and was a great source of information throughout the day, even gave a little cooking demo to produce part of our lunch, which was the most delicious of all the food we had on trips! The rafting was a magical experience, very calm, our guides pointed out some wildlife, and we had a good amount of time with the elephants too.
