The seas off Punta Cana are ideal for deep sea fishing. You'll cruise out into the open ocean in search of perfect fishing locations, cast your fishing rods over the edge of the boat and wait in beautiful surroundings for a fish to take the bait with other like-minded guests. You can go on either a morning or afternoon expedition and if you're not into fishing, you can just enjoy the boat trip.You'll have four hours of tracking and fishing. Of course, it won't be all work and no play – there'll be multiple fishing rods so that every guest can take it in turns to reel the prize in.While you're waiting patiently, you'll be able to help yourself from the self-service cooler on deck. But make sure you keep a close eye on the rods for signs of a bite as you never know when luck might strike. And if fishings not your thing, take the time to catch some rays on deck and enjoy a soft drink.

Spent a long time in filling out forms and then long time going out to sea and not catch anything. Appreciate not always possible to catch something but felt there was no real experience of where catches might be had.

The staff new the likelihood of us catching was minimal due to currents. There was no option to cancel with refund only to postpone to the following week which wasn't feasible for all on the trip. I totally appreciate it was a fishing experience and you are never guaranteed to catch, but the hooks needed sharpening and there needs to be more interaction from the guide - only two of us were told about the current situation and only because we were both anglers and asked the right questions!!!

Das war kein schönes Erlebnis, Ausflug sehr sehr teuer und bei so hohen Wellengang sollte man den Ausflug nicht durchführen. Urlauber mussten sich übergeben sodass der Ausflug auch noch vorzeitig beendet wurde

The trip was cancelled and no one bothered to tell me. I sat in the lobby for the best part of 2 hours. I tried calling a helpline, but this was the UK and we got cut off a couple of times. Not an acceptable level of customer service.

Taken out in a giant swell, not safe to fish or even sit in the boat. Had to return after 1 hour as most of the boat were sick. Absolute disaster and amazing amount of money wasted for nothing.

Equipment was not explained to anyone, the crew member didn't communicate with use of fishing rods, or bait being used, not one person was given the opportunity to even hold a fishing rod at any point, the crew member missed loads of bites that paying guests would have been able to attempt catching fish. It was more of a boat trip than a fishing trip. Paying £112 just to sit in a boat without even touching a rod is diabolical, could have picked a boat trip that provided lunch cheaper unimpressed

Excursion was spoilt by a participant suffering sea sickness and being taken back to shore. Staff advised at start of choppy conditions and that they would return anyone to shore if needed. However this cut the excursion short by an hour for all other participants as there was no time added on to make up for it.

The boat was turned around early due to other boat users being sick offered to take me back out in own for 20 minutes tried getting me to sign a form to say I had sea sickness when I didn’t I write in the sheet it was not me being sick and being forced to sign it do I couldn’t claim my money back not happy one little bit

There was 7 tourist on the boat + 1 Mate + 1 Captain. Half day trolling fishing and we randomly pick the number and I got #5. Whole time we fish on the boat, we only caught 3 fish. I've had never had a chance to hold a rod and reeling. so all day boat ride with strangers. Definitely no fun at all.

Belle arnaque à touriste. On est 6 pêcheurs et on tire par paire un numéro de 1 à 3. On se dit déjà que seule la moitié pourra pêcher un poisson. Finalement rien de pris sur notre bateau, le deuxième bateau idem : rien du tout...il semble que cela se passe très souvent et je comprends vu les 4 autres bateaux qui pechaient à côté de nous...j attends une réaction |compensation de tui. Au final une gosse demi journée de perdue, 3 malades sur 6 et plus de 200 euros envolés..

Der Ausflug ansich war gut gutes equipment freundliche guides, mein sohn hat auch einen Mahi Mahi gefangen was für uns das wichtigste war. Was schade ist ist das man eigentlich nichts selber machen darf der guide bereitet die angel vor und schmeisst sie aus man darf eigentlich nur warten mit der angel in der hand bis ein fisch beisst und dann ein bisschen mithelfen ihn raus zu holen. Man kommt auch nur 1 mal dran in den 4 std ausflug also fischen in dem sinne ist da eher übertrieben gesagt

My only issue was the amount of time I was on the trip as it was advertised as 2-4hours and we left at 11:50am returned at 18:50 so my partner was very worried and was trying to contact people to get an update. I would suggest that the timing is updated

Our guide was very friendly and a nice small group. It helped we caught 2 marlin, I feel like it wouldn't have been quite as fun if we'd only caught mahi mahi like some other boats that went out at the same time as us

For a once in a lifetime trip for someone who loves fishing, this excursion is perfect. Even though we didn't catch anything, the guys tried their best to catch something for us. It was my first time on a boat at sea and when I got sick Kelvin kept asking me and my husband if I was ok. Even before I got sick he kept asking if everyone was OK. There was a little bit of a language barrier but that didn't stop Kelvin from being helpful and informative.

They looked after the passengers that were sick and took them back to shore. Then we carried on fishing. We recommend travel pills as out of 6 fishing 4 had to return to shore with sickness. We Caught fish and very happy with the trip.

Leider wird man sehr schnell seekrank und hat nichts vom Ausflug. Wie es beim Angeln so ist, fängt man manchmal halt nichts… mit Angeln hat es leider wenig zu tun. Man sitzt da und wartet bis etwas beißt( ohne die Angeln vorher einmal berührt zu haben) um es rauszuholen. Mehr macht man da auch nicht. Lieber mehr aktives Angeln anbieten, dann macht es einem auch nicht so viel aus wenn man nichts fängt. Die Mitarbeiter waren aber sehr nett. 258 Dollar für 2 ist es leider nicht wert….

Das Boot entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen. Es war klein und dunkel mit wenig Platz. An die Angeln konnten wir nicht bzw. hätten wir diese erst bei einem Fang benutzen können. So saßen wir ca. 6 h auf diesem Boot in einem düsteren Winkel und warteten leider vergeblich. Unterm Strich war es für uns sehr langweilig.

In my opinion, eight people on a boat is too many. Not everyone will be able to catch fish. The fishing itself doesn't last long, but it's very inconvenient when you still have to go to the port.

We had a good time, and clearly Jack has invested a lot in his team and business however we were disappointed that the fishing was below average (which can’t be helped as that’s fishing!) but not much effort was made to keep the bait fresh and we sailed around the same area for 4 hours. Out of the 7 on board only 3 got to reel a fish in. Would recommend sea sick tablets too as it’s choppy! Ok value, would have paid more for a private charter if we knew the outcome at the end!

The boat the crew the land based team were all excellent. The attention to the anglers enjoying the experience was exceptional with great interaction from 1st mate and skipper. The transport to the port was fine but the run down decrepit vehicle used for the trip back to the hotels was the only let down.

We were really lucky we all caught a fish some 2, 3 different types upto 30lb. Enjoyable day. At the end you also have the choice to have the fish cooked for lunch.

Not enough opportunity to take photographs with the catch, especially for people who went on the experience alone and were not able to record their experience. Overall the trip was really good though and the guide was great too. Plenty of chances to reel the fish in for each person on the boat.

I bought this trip as a present for my boyfriends 30th as he really wanted to do it, sadly he was violently sea sick as was another passenger which was a shame for the other three of us who weren’t the trip had to be but short due to how ill they were but the captain offered to take us back out when he took the ill back which was a nice gesture.

Es una actividad pasiva, te sientas y esperas a que piquen… si pican. No te explican nada, ni aparejos, ni cebos, ni nudos, ni especies, ni la zona en la que se faena… Hoy tuvimos mala suerte con el estado de la mar pero aunque hubiese estado bien me da la sensación de que hubiese sido igual. He echado de menos que fuese más interactiva. No merece la pena en general. Un saludo

We got picked up by the owner Jack, a really nice guy. We were introduced to our crew, Benny and Anderson who were really friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. These guys know their stuff. All 5 of the party caught 2 each and lost a few too, but that's fishing for you. I would definitely recommend and I'm going to book another trip before I leave.

A great experience, crew & captain couldn’t have been more helpful with 2 X boys 18 & 16 not coping with the choppy water. Recommend taking sea sickness tablets. We all still enjoyed the trip catching 4 X barracuda & a Small Darado. Recommend this trip, take a sandwich, plenty water, juice & beer supplied.

This was one I was really looking forward to, the staff were very helpful and professional. The only thing that really spoiled it was the weather conditions, it was really choppy out there , out of the seven of us on the boat I think five of us were not feeling great. I would definitely do it again but hopefully on a bit calmer day but you could not fault the staff,they done everything they could to try to get some fish for us.

All very good except the fish were not playing the game so was just an expensive boat ride. The crew were fabulous as was the skipper. I would certainly recommend. Like all fisherman know , one minute it can be dull then a little twitch and it’s mayhem.

My advice to other travellers and for TUI to include in their promotional information is for people to take in advance seasick tablets as the sea was particularly rough and having not taken any ( other people on the boat had been advised by their rep to take some ) I was sick for the duration of the trip. Thankfully the others on the boat were not and they enjoyed catching a number of fish.

A small group of 5 was a bonus, however there were only 5 rods. The other family, a teenager and parents, myself and my husband. It was rough out at sea 6-8 foot waves. We were made aware of this before going out. All agreed they were happy to go. After about an hour it was clear the teenager and his father were suffering from sea sickness. They asked us how long we planned to stay at sea, the trip was 4 hours. We felt we could not sit back and see them suffer. We turned back. We lost the rest of the trip and were told there would be no refund. It’s a shame that we lost out due to others outside our party. They should have made the decision not to go when made aware of the conditions. We did manage to catch 3 fish on the way back but it was cut far too short. We did not get what we paid for due to no fault of our own. To anyone else thinking about this trip be aware that if one person wants to go back all go back and that’s the end of the trip. The skipper was lovely, however he tended to take over. We were not given option to cast out and bait up the hooks. My husband went to get a rod when it had a bite and had to be firm insisting he was capable. I think he saw it as his catch bless him. We felt more like spectators.

This holiday was the worst I have ever had room was disgraceful telephone in room didn’t work for 14 days extractor in bathroom not working which made everything damp leaking water coming through light in bathroom paint was hanging from ceiling key card for door stoped working we had to walk to that reception just about every day to get it charged up which was a 1/4 of a mile walk room was full of mosquitoes there was a fire in the main restaurant so again we had walk past reception for breakfast lunch and dinner. Pools were fine though some of the staff were nice. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK .coco bongo was great fishing was great perhaps it was because we were out of the hotel.
