From here, you'll take in sweeping views across the Neckar Valley before continuing your journey by mountain railway.The Heidelberg Mountain Railway is an attraction in its own right. First, you'll travel on the historic upper funicular to Molkenkur, then switch to the modern lower funicular for a short ride to Heidelberg Castle. Inside, you'll visit the cellar that houses the Great Barrel, a giant wine cask built in the 18th century from 130 oak logs and capable of holding more than 219,000 litres of wine. You'll also have time to explore the German Pharmacy Museum.The experience continues with a guided walk through Heidelberg's Baroque Old Town. As you stroll along its cobbled streets, you'll discover the character of this historic university city.
