A little piece of Britain dropped onto the coast of southern Spain, Gibraltar is head-scratchingly quirky. On this tour, you'll visit the town itself and the Rock nature reserve, then explore the Great Siege Tunnels before stopping for lunch. There's also free time to meet the famous Barbary apes and take advantage of the duty-free shopping. Carmen, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘The Barbary apes are so synonymous with Gibraltar that when numbers dipped in the mid-20th century, a new troop was imported to ensure the population could thrive.'You'll start the day with a coastal drive to Trinity Lighthouse and Europa Point, with your knowledgable guide giving you the lowdown on Gibraltar's rich history. Then, continue on to the Great Siege Tunnels. These defensive galleries were blasted out of the rock during the Great Siege, a three-year battle in the late 18th century. Next up is a walk across the iconic Windsor Suspension Bridge, before time to snap some photos of the famously cheeky Barbary apes which roam the reserve freely. You'll round off the jam-packed tour with lunch at the Rock Hotel.After resting and refuelling, there's free time to enjoy a pleasant stroll through the botanic gardens, where there is a notable collection of succulents, and along the shopping mecca that is Main Street. Or maybe you'd prefer to sip a coffee and simply soak up the ambiance of this curious British enclave. As English poet Laurie Lee once said, ‘A piece of Portsmouth sliced off and towed 500 miles south.'

Ich habe mich vorher von einem TUI-Angestellten beraten lassen was ist den Ausflug alles gezeigt wird. Unter anderem habe ich gefragt ob auch die Höhlen mit bei sind und er meinte ja. Es war zwar der Tunnel bei aber nicht die Höhlen. Im großen und ganzen war es ein zu straffer Zeitplan bei den Attraktionen, zu viel Zeit beim Mittagessen, was dazu nicht wirklich gut war und eher ein e Vorspeise darstellte. Hätte ich das vorher gewusst hätte ich mir lieber ein Auto gemietet.

Ich finde die Tour sehr gehetzt. Hier 10 Minuten anhalten, Fotos machen und weiter, dort bitte nicht ganz in die Tunnel, da nicht genug Zeit ist. Je nachdem, wo man eingesammelt wird, verbringt man jedoch mit warten auf andere Gäste. Der Bus war klapprig, teils kaputt. Es ist eben auch nur Massenabfertigung. Ich würde die Tour nicht weiterempfehlen.

Es war absolut sehenswert. Ein wirklich gutes Erlebnis. Ich hätte mir am Ende etwas mehr Zeit zur eigenen Gestaltung gewünscht. Das ist der einzige Kritikpunkt den ich habe. Ansonsten hat auch der Guide einen super Job gemacht. So viel Wissen und Informationen das war richtig gut. Und sie hat die Gruppe zu jeder Zeit im Blick gehabt und mitgenommen. Das Tempo war genau richtig und das Essen war sehr interessant. Mal was anderes. Wirklich rundum gelungen.

Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn es beim Essen eine Wahlmöglichkeit gegeben hätte. So hatten Vegetarier leider das Nachsehen. Zudem hätten wir uns mehr Freizeit gewünscht, um in Ruhe den Botanischen Garten und die Altstadt zu erkunden. Insgesamt erschien uns der Preis für diese Tour als nicht angemessen.

Der Ausflug war insgesamt gesehen toll. Ein großer Minuspunkt war jedoch der Service und das Mittagessen im Rock Hotel. Zu lange auf Getränke und Essen gewartet. Das Hähnchen war extrem trocken und schlecht zubereitet. Die Bedienung war unfreundlich und genervt. ?? Guide und Busfahrer waren super. Mit beiden würden wir jederzeit wieder einen Ausflug buchen. ??

Ich bin zu jung für diese Art des Reisen... Trotzdem, alles war wir angekündigt. Die Reiseleiterin hat einen sehr guten Job gemacht, ihre Erklärungen waren informativ und fundiert. Für unpünktliche und nicht an Vorgaben haltende Mitreisende kann TUI nichts. Im Bus haben entweder die Reisenden gefroren, damit der Fahrer klare Sicht hat, oder es war warm-miefig aber die Frontscheibe hat beschlagen - Nachschulen ist hier angebracht, dass muss auch anders gehen!

Die Zeit für das Mittagessen hätte ich gerne anders genutzt. Die Zeit im botanischen Garten war zu kurz,die Zeit in der Einkaufszone zu lang. Und wir wären gerne auf dem Gipfel gewesen !

Der Guide war sehr speziell! Sie war nett und hilfsbereit, ohne Zweifel. Aber die Art zu sprechen, die vielen Äms, die vielen Wiederholungen, die überzogenen Laute waren grässlich! Wir waren so froh als sie den Mund hielt!

Ein wunderschöner Tag bei dem alles gepasst hat. Unsere Reiseführung, der Zeitplan, die Sehenswürdigkeiten als auch das Mittagessen alles war perfekt. Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln. Wir werden uns auch in vielen Jahren an diesen wundervollen Tag erinnern.

Unser Guide gab uns viele interessante Informationen auf der Fahrt nach Gibraltar sowie auf dem Rückweg und in der Stadt. Gang über die Windsor Bridge und Eintritt in die Höhlen Windsor Galleries ebenfalls inklusive. Die Fahrt im Minibus war spektakulär! Mittagessen im Upper Rock war gut. Sehr gute Aussicht vom Felsen von Gibraltar. Viele Infos über die Provinz Cadiz.

Die Tourbegleiterin war sehr nett und versiert. Das Essen war gut! Aber für eine Premiumtour, hätten wir mehr erwartet und man sollte den Gästen Gibraltar nicht als günstige Einkaufsmöglichkeit verkaufen. Das bringt nur Enttäuschung.
