Pamukkale means 'cotton castle' in Turkish – and you'll soon see why as you set eyes upon this magical landscape. You'll also visit the adjacent ancient city of Hierapolis. Both are UNESCO-listed, so it's a two-in-one deal of Turkish historical gems.A sight to behold, Pamukkale is a series of mountainside terraces where natural springs have solidified into snowy-white stalactites and cliffs. The effect is a winter-like wonderland of petrified tiers and pools. People have bathed here for thousands of years, including Roman emperors. Follow in their footsteps and bathe in one of the thermal pools or simply stand at the top of Pamukkale and drink in the magnificent views.Then it's onto to the ruins of ancient Hierapolis – a necropolis, temples, baths and much more. The theatre is a showstopper. You'll also have free time to check out the archaeological museum. It may be a long ride to get there, but it's definitely worth it.

Pamukkale sa piekne ale to jak zorganizowana jest wycieczka przez tui to porazka. 3.5 godziny jazdy bo kierowca robi sobie przerwy w zaprzyjaznionych supermarketach na miejscu biegiem prawie do amfiteatru zeby zobaczyc grobowce z tui nie ma na to szans. Na samym pamukkale jest niecala godzina podczas której nie jest w stanie obejsc sie calych tarasów wykapac w nich a co dopiero jeszcze wejsc do muzeum. Okropnie zorganizowana wycieczka w porównaniu do innych biur podrózy.

Wibitny przewodnik - Ewelina. Widac, ze zyje Turcja, a nie wykonuje tylko swoja prace, ciekawy cel wycieczki, nowoczesny autobus, pyszny lunch. Nie mam sie do czego przyczepic, nawet na sile. Nie zaluje zakupu wycieczki juz tu na miejscu - a kupilem ja, bo poprzednia (rejs po rzecze Dalyan) z tym samym przewodnikiem, tez byla wybitna.

Wycieczka bardzo ciekawa, interesujaca. Na uwage zasluguje Pani przewodnik Ewelina, która posiada ogromna wiedze dotyczaca starozytnego Hierapolis. Dziekujemy równiez rezydentowi Tui Panu Sebastianowi, który namówil nas na Pamukkale??polecamy wycieczke z calego serca ??

Heel mooi tour. Gids was geweldig. Na de lunch konden we zwemmen in het zwembad van het hotel welke ook thermale zwembad heeft. Echt een aanrader.

Guide was full of information and helpful for answering questions and telling us about local culture. Good food stops. Guide worked to what people attending tour wanted for example people in our group wanted more time at stops. Our tui rep in the hotel gave us great information prior to visit and gave us a great tip to walk further to the right from where the pools were to see more.

Miejsce z bardzo duza iloscia zwiedzajacych. Cos jak w Polsce Zakopane. Zw wzgledu na ilosc turystów zrobiono sztuczne "baseny" - z jednej strony dobrze ( oryginaly nie niszczeja ) z drugiej ...... to jednak nie to samo.

Het eten was erg slecht, we zouden een lunch in buffetvorm vorm krijgen maar we kregen alles zo op een bord, 4 gangen in 30 minuten inclusief afrekenen. Erg slecht zonder rekening met voedsel voorkeuren te houden, plus de drankjes waren 1.5 keer zo duur als elders

Pamukkale was mooi om te zien. Was wel jammer dat er heel weinig info was gegeven over de trip zelf. Minimale reis van 3uur, heen en terug. Geen ontbijt inbegrepen.. wordt om 06.00 opgehaald dus op hotel ook geen mogelijkheid. Lunch, verschrikkelijk vies! niet te eten!! ps.. nog 3x zoveel betalen voor een drankje. belachelijk! Was heel jammer dat de info heel weinig was. Gids was geweldig, Pamukkale ook, maar zeker geen 102 euro waard..

Due to poor planning we spent our time walking the ruins on a hot afternoon amidst crowds of tourist. We were hurried along to keep a precious time table . At least this time the transport was large enough to accommodate us all. Guides were helpful and knowledgeable.

We booked with our rep in the hotel. When they picked us up we got told off for wearing flip flops and we were told that there is no mud bath on the tour as it is under reconstruction. We also had to pay extra €60 for our party of 4 for a buggy which was taking us around as I can't walk properly for long after foot injury (which we stressed out to our rep prior this trip. He didn't inform me that I have to walk /climb 4.5 km long hill). The other guide was rushing us constantly.

Le site de Pamukalle et Hiérapolis sont superbes et méritent vraiment d'être vus. Malheureusement, le temps proposé sur place est un peu court. Nous aurions préféré rester plus longtemps sur place au lieu de perdre notre temps dans une boutique souvenirs, soit disant fabrique traditionnelle d'objets en Onyx...

Hierapolis und Pamukkale sind absolut sehenswert. Der Guide Cengiz war genial. Auch wenn die Führung anders als gebucht nur englisch stattfand konnten wir ihn gut verstehen. Es war uns eine Freude, sein umfangreiches Wissen aufzusaugen. Das angebotene Mittagessen in einem Hotel in Karahayit glich einer unpersönlichen Massenabfertigung. Die Besichtigung einer Onyx-Manufaktur hatte Kaffeefahrtkarakter--> völlig überflüssig. Eine Besichtigung von Karahayit stattdessen hätte das Programm abgerundet.

Overall experience was positive in every aspect. Special thanks to our Polish Guide Marta, she did great job explaining everything to us. The English guide Ibrahim also deserve mention as he was very knowledgeable about the area and provided valuable information. Lunch at the hotel was also very nice. Overall we were very pleased.

Alles in allem ganz ok. Hierapolis ist ganz cool. Pamukalle sollte man mal gesehen haben, auch wenn man die richtigen Becken gar nicht mehr sieht. Jetzt die sind 100 pro künstlich angelegt für die Touristen. Die Busfahrt war sehr lang von Icmeler aus. Jede Stunde Toilettenpapier und noch kurze Stopps wo man Souvenirs kaufen konnte. Dafür war aber ein gutes kostenloses Mittagessen dabei. Unser Ausflug dauerte alles in allem 14 Stunden. Von 6 Uhr morgens bis 20 Uhr Abends

Guiden var kunnig och intressant och en god berättare om målet och Turkiet som helhet. Platsen var vacker och intressant. Mindre bra var stoppet innan målet på fabriken som inte var nämnd i utflyktens program. Om vi inte hade besökt fbriken så hade vi fått mer tid på Pamukkale som hade varit trevligt. Det stod tre timmar på platsen men det blev två timmar.

Erg druk bij pamukkale en alleen kleine deel is met water. De rest staat droog en dicht. Onnodige stop bij dogan onyx factory. Lees maar maar beoordelingen van dit plek op trip advisor.... Leuke gids!

Det var en virkelig god oplevelse. Guiden var fantastisk og var god til beskrive seværdighederne samt programmet (de forskellige seværdigheder, pauser, tider, mulighed for mad osv.). Der var også rig muligheden for at udforske stedet på egen hånd.

Aihan var den beste guiden jeg har hatt. Pensjonist som guider en dag i uka på perfekt engelsk. Som historielærer ble jeg imponert over hans kunnskap og formidlingsevne.

Tour guide Ihan was very experienced and full of facts, he was very responsive to needs and paced things well but this was an unbelievably long day and it really should advise when purchasing that the coach trip is over 4 hours as it really is largely on the coach. The places were good but you have to really want to go to make the journey worthwhile.
