What to expect
Peggy Guggenheim collected art from around the world throughout her lifetime and brought together masterpieces of the greatest 20th-century artists under one roof. Her collection was inaugurated as a public museum in 1980 with pieces from modern Italian, European and American art.The Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice is made up of the pieces brought together in a lifetime dedicated to finding and purchasing art as well as collections that were later generously donated to her foundation. The museum's Permanent Collection holds the most important pieces of 20th century Cubism, American Abstract Expressionism, Metaphysical painting, Surrealism and European abstract art.A collection donated to the foundation in 2012, called the Schulhof Collection, is made up of 80 pieces from 1945 and the following years. You'll also find the Patsy R. and Raymon D. Nasher Sculpture Garden that occupies the outdoor spaces at Palazzo Vernier Leoni.

Know in advance:
ATTENTION: please note that on some days between 3rd of April 2026 and 26th of July 2026, every visitor to Venice is required to pay, directly to the City of Venice, a contribution to access, except for the different exclusions. For dates, payment methods, to benefit from exemptions, and for all related information, please check the official website for the Venice Access Fee. Please pay the Access Fee online before attending the tour

the museum is closed on Tuesdays
seniors aged 70 and older, students up to 25 with a valid student card, and children aged 10 to 18 can access the museum with a reduced ticket
children under 10, people with disabilities and one accompanying person can access the museum for free

Habe die Karten über TUI gebucht, leider ist mein Handy ausgefallen und daher musste ich die Eintrittskarten nochmals bezahlen. Es gab leider keinen einzigen Mitarbeiter im Museum, der mir ein Kabel für das Iphone zur Verfügung stellen konnte und mir sagen wo ich in der Nähe das Iphone häte laden können.

Gostei de tudo em geral, pensei que fosse maior, e pelo que vi, pensei ser caro. Gostei muito da Pequena coleção da Vieira da Silva que conheço muito bem a sua "Obra" Sou Português. De resto, tudo impecável, bem tratado e limpo. Sim, mas pensei que variava mais , autores, escultores e pintores! Obrigado

Dåligt bemötande vid "incheckning" , litet museum med begränsad konst av Peggy Guggenheim vilket inte framgår när man bokar online. Dock var det mycket fin annan konst och fin skulpturpark. Svårt att hitta dit, ligger väl undangömt vid en verkligt liten kanal....

From the moment we reached the front desk, we were presented with caring, informed staff who provided a wheelchair and assistance using the short lift necessary to access the floor. Though crowded, it was nice to see the number of students touring.
The art was nicely curated and met expectations.

Molto bello, personale gentile ed efficiente. L'unica pecca alla caffetteria i sandwich con troppo pane (3 strati) non erano proprio buonissimi. Grazie comunque per le bellissime ore passate da voi.

Bella la location e le opere presenti. Molte di quelle che sapevo non c'erano e assente anche le temporanee. Biglietto intero contro un servizio a metà. Peccato. Sarebbe ovvio prevedere una maggiore affluenza nelle vacanze pasquali e trovare aree non allestite è stato triste.
