What to expect
The rugged coast of the western Algarve is crammed with dramatic cliffs sheltering sandy coves and characterful towns. On this trip you'll have ample time to explore the historic city of Lagos and see some of the Algarve's most picturesque points, including the ‘end of the world' and Baleeira fishing village. Beatriz, one of our expert local guides, says, "Lagos has a long history, and was once an important hub for maritime traffic in the 15th century during the Portuguese Age of Discovery. You'll get a sense of its history as you mander through the old town on patterned cobbled streets flanked by handsome buildings." Sheltering by a river mouth, the town of Lagos has a great location by the beach and within reach of all that amazing scenery. Get your culture fix with a tour of Lagos town, plus free time to enjoy the vibrant streets and cafés. Your guided tour takes in Praça do Infante to see Henry the Navigator's statue, as well as the building that served as Portugal's first slave market. Afterwards, you could choose to spend your time having lunch, shopping or exploring.Next, we'll visit Cabo de São Vicente, also known as the ‘end of the world' – Europe's most south-westerly point. This place is famous for its sheer cliffs, panoramic views, and the iconic lighthouse perched at its tip. Soaking up these views looking out over the fishing harbour of Baleeira is the perfect way to round off this tour.

De kostprijs is ietsje te hoogvoor hetgeen we gekregen hebben.Op zich wel wat gezien maar iets te weinig begeleiding voor alle activiteiten. Teveel geschiedenis en te weinig info over het hedendaagse.Voor zo uitstap zou het wel leuk zijn als we met zen allen konden gaan eten tegen een schappelijke prijs.

Top Ausflug. Wir haben mehr gesehen als erwartet. Super Reiseführer. Wir hatten viel freie Zeit zur Verfügung. Kann den Ausflug nur jedem empfehlen. Einziges Manko der freie Kirchenbesuch, man muss sich entscheiden stelle ich mich dort an oder will ich etwas vom Ort sehen. Vielleicht kann man da noch etwas an der Organisation machen

Die Reiseleiterin Ana kannte sich hervorragend aus und lieferte sehr interessante Hintergrundinformationen. Allerdings war die Zeit für Teile der Exkursion zu knapp bemessen, z. B. der Eintritt ins Museum in Lagos, und am Kap Sao Vicente war die Besichtigung des Forts nicht möglich.

Sehr guter Guide und vor allem sehr guter Aufbau der Tour! Je nach Hotel muss man allerdings mit einer gewissen Transferzeit rechnen, aber es lohnt sich absolut. Die Aufenthaltszeit ist absolut ausreichend, vor allem in Lagos ist genügend Zeit zum shoppen und essen. Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle die Natur und Shopping verbinden wollen

Die Fahrt war super. Bus war pünktlich. Die Guide Dame Anna war super nett und hat alles super erklärt. Die Stopps an den Aussichtspunkten waren sehr gut gewählt und von der Zeit her ausreichend. Die Zeit in Lagos hätte noch etwas länger sein können. Aber ansonsten super vom Ablauf und von der Gesamtzeit.

Une belle région que nous avons visité accompagné d'un guide José passionné par sa région et son histoire Trois beaux sites, il nous a manqué un peu de temps le midi, avec la visite de l'église qui nécessite une attente et le temps de déjeuner on a eu peu de temps pour visiter la ville de Lagos, mais une belle journée malgré tout

Insgesamt hat uns der Ausflug sehr gut gefallen. Unser Guide Ana war sehr freundlich und hat uns mit ausreichend Informationen versorgt. In Lagos hätten wir uns etwas mehr Zeit zur freien Verfügung gewünscht. Bei der Buchungsbestätigung wurde leider der Abholort etwas missverständlich genannt: PortoBay Tenis Court. Hier wären mit dem Zusatz „Hotel PortoBay FALÉSIA“ keine Fragen aufgekommen, da es noch das Hotel PortoBay Blue Ocean gibt, in dem wir untergebracht waren.

Aufgrund der Zeitbeschränkung in Lagos wollten wir nicht vor dem "schon überfüllten" Museum anstehen und kostbare Zeit verlieren. Es wäre besser, wenn die Reiseleitung die Gäste direkt und ohne Wartezeit ins Museum bringen könnte. Danach könnte die Reiseleitung das Museum ja wieder verlassen. Gut war: eine Aufenthaltsdauer von 3 Stunden in Lagos, das "Einsammeln" der anderen Gäste bei 4 Stationen hielt sich in Grenzen (kein langes Warten auf Zubringerbusse), die Einplanung von Toilettenpausen

Super excursion pour découvrir l ouest d Algarve mais dommage qu il n y ait pas eu plus de temps pour visiter Lagos (1h de plus) le repas de midi n était pas compris (un pique nique aurait dû être prévu par l hôtel) le guide parlait trop, trop sur l histoire et en fin de journée on l'écoutait même plus c est dommage Le prix était un peu trop élevé...la visite de Sagres trop rapide.

Thank you to Guadelupe for showing us this trip, it was a fantastic 8-hour experience that my son & I thoroughly enjoyed! Visiting Lagos was especially lovely, the food is amazing there! The reason it is not a 10 for value for money is because the air conditioning on the coach barely worked, and would cut out randomly.

Alles was perfect geregeld, vanaf het tijdstip van ophalen. De cap St.Vincent lag enigszins in de mist, maar dat zal door de ligging vaker voorkomen en was daardoor ook weer bijzonder. Lagos is een heerlijke stad met leuke pleintjes en straatjes. Bijzonder was het stadsmuseum, fijn dat een bezoek daaraan inbegrepen bleek bij de excursie. Tenslotte het hoogtepunt en het waarom ik deze excursie wilde meemaken: de rotskust van de Algarve! Wat een geweldige mooie foto's heb ik daar kunnen schieten!

Leuke trip naar het Westen van Algarve. Je komt langs plekken die je echt gezien moet hebben als je hier bent. Bezoek aan St. Cabe en Lagos waren erg leuk. Sagres, een vissersdorp was ook leuk om te zien. De prachtige landschappen, kliffen, grotten, stranden, in een woord geweldig. We kregen voldoende informatie om de dag door te komen. Was een lange rit maar het was de moeite waard. Je krijgt ook voldoende tijd om rond te lopen en foto's te maken. Kortom super leuke dag gehad.

Bonjour en un seul mot SUPER 👍 LE WOUAH dès l'entrée qui se prolonge dans la chambre . une chambre spacieuse , très jolie et propre surtout. le buffet très bien ( là je mets un 9 ) pour juste un peu plus de légumes qui à manquer un peu. l'EQUIPE ANIMATION GENIALE 10/10 . toujours attentif aux besoins des vacanciers , une ********** humeur constante, de très beaux spectacles mis en place par l'équipe.😉👍 en Gros une MERVEILLEURSE SEMAINE ; MERCI

Guide spoke in several languages so there was a long time explaining each landmark without knowing what was being said. The museum with golden church was closed due to no lights which was very disappointing as that was main attraction in Lacos.

This was the best Tui excursion we have been on. The sites visited were amazing and the guide was brilliant. His knowledge of history and his skills in both English and French (we speak both) were outstanding. It was sad the church of St Anthony has such ridiculous restrictions. The guide tried so hard to work round the recalcitrant bureaucracy (as did one of the staff) but to little joy. We were amongst the 10 on the trip who did actually get in

Guide super, par contre a la dernière minute nous nous sommes retrouvés avec un groupe anglais ce qui a occasionné une pertes de temps non négligeable lors des traductions sur les points de la visite. Pénible d’avoir perdu trop de temps du coup sur la partie pause déjeuner / temps libre.

Ik vond het vreemd dat de gids niet wist dat de kerk tussen 12 en 2 uur gesloten is. Dus die konden we niet gezichten we waren er niet op tijd omdat hij bij andere dingen lang stond te praten

It would have been lovely to have seen the sunset at worlds end if the day had been later. Also a day trip would have been nice to have a lunch included. Saying that we had the most amazing pizza in Lagos

Het weer was slecht waardoor de excursie in het water viel. Er was code geel aangegeven. De gids deed wel moeite om het programma om te gooien vanwege de regen. We hebben mooie plekken gezien. Maar minder mooie foto’s door alle bewolking. De gids sprak goed Nederlands daardoor was alles makkelijk voor ons te volgen. Lagos is een mooi stadje. Jammer van de lange wachtrij bij de kerk waar maar 30 mensen tegelijk in mogen. Daardoor heeft niet iedereen de kerk kunnen zien. Wij wel, gelukkig.
