What to expect

Leave Dublin behind and enjoy a scenic drive south towards the hills and glens of County Wicklow. Your friendly guides will entertain you with stories about Dublin and Wicklow during the journey. Your first stop is the picturesque village of Enniskerry which you might recognise from movies like 'P.S. I Love You' and 'Leap Year'. After you've finished exploring, you'll take a 90 minute walk around the countryside with your guide. Prepare to breathe the fresh air and enjoy some incredible panoramic views of Wicklow County.Then, you'll head back to Enniskerry for lunch in a local before continuing your journey through the Wicklow Mountains. You'll pass by Wicklow Mountain National Park, The Sally Gao, Lough Tay, the Guinness Lake (film location of “Excalibur” and “Brave Heart”), Glendalough and its 6th-century monastic site. You're sure to see the best of Ireland!

Eine sehr schöne und erlebnisreiche Tour. Durch die begrenzte Teilnehmerzahl ein tolles Erlebnis. Unser Guide war sehr gut ausgebildet und konnte spontan auf die Reisenden eingehen. Seine individuellen Tipps und seine Begeisterung für sein Land haben positive Eindrücke hinterlassen. Uns wurde auf der Tagestour immer wieder die Möglichkeit gegeben, die Landschaft, innerhalb eines vorgegebenen Zeitraums, individuell zu erkundigen.

We did quite a bit of walking on the roadside, but perhaps that was due to having some slower walkers. I would also have liked some commentary at Glendalough rather than just commentary on the van.
