What to expect
Larger-than-life Lanzarote legend César Manrique left his imprint all over the island, but nowhere more so than the north. The architect was inspired by the region's extraordinary geology. This tour takes in three iconic sights – the Green Caves, Jameos del Agua and Mirador del Rio. David, one of our local guides, says, "the north of the island was a canvas for Manrique's palette. As he used to say, “the north is still the traditional Lanzarote.”First up are the Green Caves, where a maze of galleries and stairways lead you to a natural auditorium. These caverns – 16 have been discovered so far – are air bubbles that are linked by a tunnel created by the lava flow from a volcanic eruption. During the 1960s, the Cabildo of Lanzarote commissioned Jesús Soto to adapt the cave system for visitors, creating one of the island's most fascinating attractions. The influence of Manrique is, however, even more pronounced in the Jameos del Agua. Here, he harmonised this roofless volcanic cave, adding rock gardens and a glassy lake, filled with blind, white crabs found only in Lanzarote.Also on the agenda is Mirador del Rio, one of Manrique's most sci-fi creations. Not only does this viewpoint blend in seamlessly with its surroundings atop a 470-metre-tall cliff, but it boasts wow-factor vistas across to the island of La Graciosa. Next, you'll head to Haria, an oasis of green known as the “Valley of a Thousand Palms,” scattered with whitewashed houses and surrounded by peaks. If you book the tour option that includes lunch, you'll sit down for a meal made from locally sourced ingredients in a typical Canarian house here, too.

Very informative information from the guide all day. Caves were amazing. We opted out of the lunch and was able to explore the town and found a lovely cafe for lunch. Very enjoyable excursion.

Sehr interessante Tour, viel gesehen, die Höhlen sind der Wahnsinn und unser Guid hat sehr viel Wissen, hat dieses in verständlichen Worten weitergegeben, immer freundlich und hilfsbereit Mittagessen ist wirklich gut aber für 20.00 Euro zu teuer Es sollte vielleicht noch besser darauf aufmerksam gemacht werden dass diese Tour doch sehr anstrengend ist, nichts für Leute die nicht gut zu Fuß sind

Leerzame tour en reisleidster Gemma wist veel over het land. Ook ontzettend veel verschillende dingen gezien in 1 dag. Aanrader, en waar voor je geld. Nb, die waarschuwing voor claustrofobie vond ik best overdreven. De gangen zijn zeer goed doorgaanbaar, af en toe moest je eens bukken. Geen enorm nauwe, lange doorgangen. Al met al helemaal prima!

Die Tour war sehr gut organisiert. Reiseleiterin Sina erklärte alles auf Deutsch und Englisch, Busfahrer Christian fuhr den großen Bus souverän durch die engsten Straßen. Besonders beeindruckt haben uns die Jameos del Agua, der Mirador del Río mit Blick auf La Graciosa und die faszinierende Cueva de los Verdes. Einziger Kritikpunkt war der Stopp an einer Aloe-Vera-Plantage zum Produktverkauf. Ansonsten eine abwechslungsreiche Tour mit tollen Eindrücken – für uns ein absolutes Muss auf Lanzarote.

Wir hatten einen gehbehinderten Mann mit dabei, welcher die ganze Gruppe aufhielt. Man sollte vom Veranstalter mehr darauf achten, dass man solchen Personen separate Touren anbietet.

De groep was leuk en gezellig, de gids en chauffeur fantastisch. Heel veel informatie. Verder 1 puntje voor minder invaliden. Er was iemand met ons mee liep met een kruk. We hebben hem geholpen als groep. Maar eigenlijk niet te doen voor die man. Weet niet hoe ze geboekt hebben maar ik vind dat hiervoor de controle sterker moet. Hij heeft vandaag de hele dag op bed gelegen om bij te komen. Met liefde gedaan, maar niet verantwoord.

I liked the caves and the last two places on the trip , but did not thick we had enough time there . I would have been a lot better if we missed out the place we stopped for food or at least spent less time there , and used the time for the last two places

Super Tour, mit einer sehr kompetenten, lustigen und sympathischen holländischen Tourleiterin. Sie hat jederzeit alles im Griff gehabt. Top 👍👍👍 Punktabzug gibt es für den Wirt beim Mittagessen, der sehr unhöflich gewirkt hat und alle wie eine Herde Kühe behandelt hat. Fazit: Ausflug Top, Mittagessen Flop.

Die Tour war absolut empfehlenswert. Wir nehmen immer auch einen Leihwagen um unser Urlaubsgebiet zu erkunden, aber diese Tour war auch gerade wegen der niederländischen Reiseleitung die deutsch und niederländisch erklärte informativ und unterhaltsam.

The tour was great. Amazing caves and views. It was a wonderful day. The Guide Germa was very knowledgeable about all sorts of things. She was great. Would definitely recommend. The lunch buffet wasn’t worth the €20. Not nice at all. Don’t include lunch, you can buy lunch from another cafe.

Der Busfahrer war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Daniel, der deutschsprechende (schottische) Reiseleiter hat sehr interessante Informationen zur Geschichte und Gepflogenheiten der Insel gegeben. Besonders die botanischen Informationen fand ich sehr interessant u. aufschlussreich. Er macht in allen Belangen der Gäste einen souveränen Eindruck.. Die Erläuterung der wirtschaftlichen Zusammenhänge der Insel bringt dem Besucher ein Verständnis für Verkaufsshops.

Groene grotten waren heelnerg mooi, en de Jameo del Agua ook! Ook het oude fort was keuk om te bezoeken; prachtige vergezichten ondanks het Saharazabd in de lucht. Goed dat on,e gids het fort vóór de lunch liet bezoeken gezien de verwachte bewolking. Het Aloe Veramuseum op zich leuk, maar voor bij deze tour misschien wat erg veel. De gids was een wat apart type; leek op het type schoolmeester wat mijn innerlijke opstandige puber onmiddellijk naar boven bracht

Great tour guide David, provided lots of great information while travelling between attractions and gave clear instructions on site. The Cueves de Verdes were the highlight for us along with Jameos del aqua. Good food too. Can’t fault any of the trip.

It was a great way to see the main sites and the north of the island without hiring a car. The guide and driver were very good. The meal was good but i rushed it since I thought we wouldn’t have time to look around the market and village. So the only additional information I would have liked was that the market was small so we wouldn’t need long to look around it and the village.

Die Auswahloption mit bzw. ohne Mittagessen war irritierend. Wir gingen so von einem Halbtagesausflug aus. Letzlich haben wir dann vor Ort das Mittagessen nachgezahlt, da sich der Ausflug dann doch auf einen ganzen Tag erstreckte. Das, was es zu sehen gab, war super, der Reiseleiter ebenfalls. Und der Busfahrer verstand ebenfalls seinen Job: rundrum gelungen!

Esswaren alles sehr gut getimed, so dass man ausreichend Zeit hatte die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu genießen. Reiseführer war top und hat viele interessante Infos gegeben. Ausflug war sehr kurzweilig. Das Mittagessen war sehr gut! Würde ich jedem empfehlen, da einheimische Kost, die sehr lecker war.

Hey Aloe vera museum was niet interessant, was erg gericht op verkoop. Daarna was de dag geweldig: de Verde grotten waren super, de lunch heerlijk, wandelen door Heria extra leuk vanwege de markt en de Jameos del Agua was ongelooflijk mooi. En dat alles voorzien van informatie door een uitstekende gids. Echt schitterend!

Der Guide Jorge war absolut super und hat entspannt zwischen Englisch und Deutsch gewechselt. Er hatte tolle Informationen über die Insel und besonders zu César Manrique. Sehr unterhaltsam und ohne zu überfrachten. Das Programm war rundum gut - besonders schön die Stationen in Haria, Mirador und Jameos del agua. Der Busfahrer ist souverän gefahren.

Die Tour war gut organisiert und geführt und hat uns sehr gut gefallen, aber wir wurden beide sehr krank danach, sehr wahrscheinlich durch das Mittagessen. Schon eine Stunde nach Ankunft im Hotel mussten wir uns die ganze Nacht übergeben und sind jetzt , zwei Tage später, noch sehr angeschlagen.

Die Aloe Vera Verkaufsveranstaltung hätte man nicht gebraucht. Die war beim Vertragsabschluss nicht angegeben. Der Reiseleiter war okay er hat versucht auch Info über Die Insel und das leben auf der Insel zu geben.

I didn't appreciate a stop for a sales pitch at the aloe Vera shop (not in the brochure)! Whilst I didn't expect literally a thousand palm trees in the valley of palm trees It was very underwhelming. There's actually more palm trees in the hotel grounds, not worth mentioning. The caves were good but a long day with many pickups/drop offs. Guide & driver good.

Vicktoria war eine super Reiseleitung. Sie hat uns sehr informativ und sympathisch durch den Tag begleitet. Es war ein ausgewogener Tag zwischen Stops und Busfahrt. Wir würden die Fahrt jederzeit wieder buchen. Verbesserung: wenn es zum Stop Mittagessen kommt, bitte das Essen um 30-45 Min verschieben, damit erst der Künstermarkt besucht werden kann. Ist schöner für uns Touristen und besonders für die Künstler!

More information about the caves as some people were frightened and unaware of the amount of steps, darkness and agility required to undertake part of this experience. Food was unappealing in the restaurant. David the guide was excellent. Really knowledgeable and engaging and displayed his love of the island.
