No visit to New York City is complete without visiting the sombre and poignant 9-11 Memorial and Museum. Occupying roughly half of the 16-acre site, the memorial honours the 2,977 lives lost on that fateful day in September 2001. The names of the deceased are inscribed on bronze parapets surrounding the twin memorial pools.The museum is located seven stories below the memorial, at the very foundation of where the Twin Towers once stood. You'll learn about the history of the tragic events through interactive technology, artifacts, historical records, imagery and personal stories as you explore the 110,000 square feet of space.With a flex admission ticket, you can visit at any time during regular operating hours on your selected date, giving you the freedom to explore the museum on your own schedule without the need to reserve a specific entry time in advance.

All visitors and baggage are subject to security screening. Please limit the amount of items that you bring. No baggage larger than 8”x17”x19” (20x43x48 cm) will be permitted onto the memorial. Items deemed too large or a danger to exhibits are subject to mandatory storage in the cloakroom
Cell phones must be silenced while visitors are in the Memorial Museum’s exhibition spaces
Personal photography is permitted, but guests are asked to be mindful and respect the space
