Je ziet hoe de typische mahonéskaas van het land wordt gemaakt en proeft er wat van. Ook slenter je door de verzorgde tuinen. Binnen is er een grote collectie insecten, wat de kinderen geweldig vinden. Daarna ontdek je in de RIA-fabriek hoe Menorcaanse avarca-sandalen helemaal vanaf nul worden gemaakt. En je hebt wat tijd om rond te snuffelen in de winkel.Daarna ga je naar het vissersdorp Fornells aan de noordkust voor een rondleiding door de sfeervolle straten met witgekalkte huizen. Vervolgens breng je anderhalf uur door in de hoefijzervormige baai van Cala Galdana. Je hebt vrije tijd om te zwemmen, te relaxen op het strand en te lunchen. En tot slot krijg je de beste zitplaatsen in het huis bij Son Martorellet, een beroemde paardenstal. Hier krijg je een rondleiding en zie je hoe paarden van het inheemse Menorquin-ras van het eiland worden getraind door lokale trainers en ruiters.

This was a varied and interesting trip that gave a real flavour of Menorcan culture and traditions. I found the whole trip accessible and entertaining. For my husband, who has some mobility issues, there were some limitations. For example at Ria he was able to enter the retail area of the sandal factory and was able to hear the guides talk but there were too many stairs for him to be able to view the factory. At Binissues he could view the cheese making but not enter the house.

We didn't have long at the beach the stop before visiting the menorcan horses , after having lunch we only had half a hour to enjoy it , this wasn't long enough to go in for a paddle never mind a swim ... My daughter loved the menorcan horses as she works with horses... I loved buying myself the Spanish sandals...

I thought we where on a business tour of which there was meant to be with a cheese tasting experience for me this would be describing an experience of its own being many cheese options from the island but it turned out to be a few cubes of the same cheese and a pastry with some local drink to drink which was nice but not what was expected from the information given about the tour very dissatisfied as a cheese lover this was the only reason to book this tour shame

This trip was not published on your list of trips so I thought I’d booked for The Menorca Discovery tour and was a bit taken aback to find a coach and not a land rover at the pick up point. I had thought we would be going to a local cheese factory too. Having said that the tour was good and enjoyable but not what I had thought I’d booked for.

After having a serious accident involving a rented mobility scooter and being hospitalized over 3 days my husbandreturned to Appartments at TALAYOT Cala n Forcat for bed rest before returning to UK on 26th September Had to be cared for by me (wife) as injured right side including head injury damaged Shoulder and broken rib. Reported this to Hotel and Rep. Althoughsynpathic no help at all offered or given,no phone enquiries made or viisits. Abandonedby Tui. I am 81 my husband 82 . Lost holiday.

The guide was excellent. The cheese tasting was interesting but presentation was a bit uninspired. We had torrential rain at Fornelles but were able to wait in the coach until it passed. Would have liked to have seen more of a demonstration of leather craft at the sandal shop. Tour was very informative about Menorca and its people and history.

We enjoyed the cheese making demonstration and tastings, the historic house and the tour of the Ria shoe factory. The trip to Fornells and surrounding area was lovely. Nicola the tour guide also took us to the stables of the dancing horses. It was nice to see the horses and see one demonstrating. Sadly the location was quite tired and there were no facilities for refreshments which was understandable when we were told the venue was for sale.

The venues visited were ideal and perfectly timed. The tour guide was impressive, and took the time to explain in great detail the places visited. Thank you Nicola. The only downside was we could have had more time seeing the black horses and a refreshment stop. To actually touch the horses would have been amazing!

Lovely tour to see a bit more of the island other than just the beach resorts unlike a lot of tours it didn’t feel rushed had plenty of time to browse and get something to eat. Guide was English so easy to understand and very informative, my only complaint would be the pointless stop to visit a shoe shop!! Maybe seeing how they make menorcan scandals would have been more interesting, but it’s only 20mins out of the whole tour so relax in the sun if your not interested ??

Thoroughly enjoyed Binissues Manor and especially enjoyed Monte Toro & the Shrine of La Mare de Deu del Toro. Fornells was a beautiful location for lunch. Although not to my personal taste I believe the short visit and performance at Son Martorellet was very well received by others.

Guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and informative. Also a cheeky fun character. Top of mountain and tasting very good. Horses - could have had more showtime. The dressage was very good but I was expecting to see more. Ticket sales indicated we would see dancing horse show but learned that the show was an evening event.

This was a great trip which was excellent value for money. Our guide Nicola gave us lots of interesting information and we saw so much. We didn’t really enjoy the trip to the shoe factory shop. We were hoping to go to see how the traditional Menorcan sandals are made.

I really enjoyed the visits to Binisseu, El Toro and Fornells but personally found the trip to the Jaime Mascaro shoe shop unnecessary and didn't enjoy the equine display. I would have preferred more time in Fornells.. Nicola, the TUI guide, was excellent. She delivered a lot of information in a well-paced, clear and concise way which enhanced each individual visit and made for a very interesting day out

The stables and horses were wonderful. The whole day was rushed. The cheese making was overshadowed by the tour guide of another trip shouting over our guide. The shoe shop and photo stop were useless and a waste of time.

Visits to shoe factory was a waste of time . Menorcan horse dressage was disappointing, only one horse & rider, no music & a pantomime at the end which went on for far too long. Visit to the manor was interesting as was the visit to the mountain. We would have liked more time, say an hour more, in Fornells. By the time we had had lunch it was time to walk back to the bus having had no time to explore.

Overall an interesting trip. However we were very disappointed with the trip to the shoe factory which turned out only to be a very expensive shop. All but one couple on the bus commented on how much of a waste of time it was. Had it actually been a visit to a factory which demonstrated how the sandals are produced using recycled tyres that would have been far more interesting. We enjoyed Fornells and would have preferred to spend more time there or visit another attraction or point of interest.

The tour was fine overall, but the last two stops ( a drive around a holiday complex and a 20 minute stop a the shoe outlet were completely pointless ) . More time in Fornells would have been better.

Not keen on the shoe shop part. Would have preferred to see a traditional Menorcan shoe factory Guide made the tour he was clear and informative with his information. Excellent guide

An outstanding trip with an amazing tui rep Nicola who is unbelievably knowledgeable and dedicated to providing the best experience. Nicola gave impressive amount of interesting information and facts about menorca and made sure everyone’s tastes were accounted for. It was the best trip that my husband and I had ever been on

Guide was very nice but was hard to understand and talked too much on the outward journey also don’t need music on the way back to the hotel we should have a choice about that, the trip itself we really enjoyed and the cheese was lovely
