Op deze halve dagtocht zie je Lanzarote in een notendop. Zo bekijk je de El Golfo lagune, trek je door het Timanfaya National Park en bezoek je de Salinas de Janubio. Ter afsluiting van de tour krijg je ook een slokje lokale wijn aangeboden.Eerst bezoek je de wateren van El Golfo – het smaragdgroene water heeft in de loop der jaren al in menig Hollywoodfilm een rol gespeeld. Maar dat is slechts een voorgerecht voor het hoofdgebeuren – het bezoek aan het Timanfaya National Park. Beroemd om zijn maanachtige landschap bezaaid met lavavelden en zwarte rotsen, zie je de 'Montañas del Fuego', om maar wat te noemen.Dan is er een stop in La Geria voor een slokje lokale wijn voordat je Salinas de Janubio bereikt, de grootste zoutvlakte van de Canarische Eilanden. Maak een paar selfies met de kilometers lange katoenwitte zoutheuvels terwijl de gids je alles vertelt over de geschiedenis van deze uiterst belangrijke bron van het eiland. En natuurlijk proef je er ook wat van.

The guide was interesting and engaging. The wine sample was really a sip. Many people were hungry so some kind of snack would have been nice. All the excursions were free entry so it seemed expensive. It was good to see these parts of the island’s history.

Overall an excellent tour. We last did this 20+ years ago before we had children, but this time we had come back with our youngest daughter so wanted to take her to see the volcano and the landscape. The guide and the coach driver were excellent. You need a good and safe / slow driver for the trip as there’s a very windy road through the national park and you want to go slow to a) appreciate it and b) to not make you feel travel sick as there’s lots of bends. Our driver Ismael, was excellent.

we didn't make the trip my partner was violently sick in the night and also had diarrhoea and in the morning had cramps to so she was in no fit state to travel i went down at 8 to notify the tour guideI came back down at 9 to talk to the rep about a refund as 138 pounds is alot to lose was told he needs a doctors note or had to be cancelled with 24hrs notice but only booked day before phoned the office and was told the same we are both very disappointed by the experience as having to lose £138

Het was een mooie reis met veel bijzondere bezienswaardigheden van het eiland. Het Timanfaya park was heel bijzonder. De demonstraties van de vulkanen waren mooi om te zien. De gids vertelde heel veel en stond open voor vragen. Het was zeker de moeite waard.

We did this tour with the wonderful guide Ratzmilla and Driver Juan. the tour was excellent very well planned and a lot packed into the day. Breathtaking scenery, tasty wine and some very good quality salt. Really couldn't have asked for more.

Really enjoyed the sightseeing while visiting the volcano. It felt unreal. The guide was amazing, he gave us lots of information while still making it digestible. We took the tour with the Germans, and we had no troubles when our guide was switching between languages. Great driver too, kept us safe on the scary roads around the volcano. Would recommend!

The trip was very interesting and the guide was lovely. However, we felt that we didn’t have enough time in each of the stops, especially Timanfaya Nation Park, 30 mins wasn’t enough to take in the beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the tour overall but the long bus journey of 1.20 to pick all the tour group on the way and on the way back too was a little long if you’re the first pick up stop on the tour.

A thoroughly enjoyable excursion with a very informative guide. Having an elevated view of the national park from the coach allowed you to see more. Being able to avoid the queue of cars waiting to enter the park was also an added bonus

We really enjoyed this tour. From finding out about the Salt Plains, seeing the beautiful green lagoon and driving through the volcanic scenery. Our guide was very informative, speaking in both Dutch and English. We had just enough time at each stop for photos , shopping and just taking it all in.

Der Nationalpark Timanfaya war atemberaubend schön. Die grüne Lagune hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Die "Weinprobe" war nichts besonderes, man hat nur einen Schluck Wein zum Probieren bekommen und keine weiteren Erklärungen. Die Saline war ok. Jacke oder Pullover unbedingt einpacken, im Nationalpark ist es oft kälter als an der Küste.

A fantastic drive through the lava fields, with a very competent driver. The steam experiment was most impressive, but the warm stones were interesting. The walk to the salt lakes was less inspiring. The visit to the winery was unnecessary and took away time from the national park. The path to the green lake could have been cleared of larger rocks causing trip hazards, but the view at the end was wonderful.

The instructions for the pick up could have been a little clearer, as the hotel named (Floresta) is quite large and doesn't have an obvious frontage - and the pick up isn't at the hotel frontage anyway. Something like "bus stop Calle Marta" would have been clearer.

What a wonderful trip! A very personable, well informed guide who was full of insight, knowledge and humour. The national park is a must see, an extraordinary landscape responsible for the birth of Lanzarote. Then three delightful stops looking at the island today. Fabulous!

We specifically booked a half day tour, due to my companions mobility. Left at 8.15am, didn't return until 3.30pm and whilst several lavatory stops, no opportunity to have lunch. Order of wine tasting, salt lakes and volcano swapped due to unavoidable poor weather, but the whole day was disorganised and bitty. Overpriced too given the limited content.

Absolut beeindruckende Tour durch eine ungewohnte und sehr interessante Vulkanlandschaft. Danach ging es zu El Golfo an die Küste. Ebenfalls ein sehr sehenswerter Stop. Wein dagegen interessiert uns gar nicht, aber es war dennoch interessant zu sehen, auf welche ungewöhnliche Art Weinreben inmitten von Vulkanasche angebaut werden. Volle Empfehlung für diese Tour!
