Cosa aspettarsi
Training dolphins is one of those jobs that sound beyond our reach – until now. This dolphin trainer experience at Xelha is your chance to get to connect with dolphins and understand them better. You'll interact with dolphins and learn directly from animal care specialists about their biology, behaviour, and training methods based on welfare and respect for these incredible marine creatures. After an hour of theory, you'll put it into practice with 45minutes swimming with dolphins in a small group of up to four guests.

the minimum age is 10 years old
Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult during the activity with both participants paying for the program
Transportation is included for the following hotels: Bahía Principe, Sirenis Riviera Maya, Palladium Riviera Maya, Barcelo Riviera Maya, Catalonia Yucatán/Riviera, Dorado Seaside, Secrets Akumal, Akumal Bay, Hoteles Xcaret, Occidental Xcaret, Hard Rock Riviera
Other hotels incur an extra cost, and will be organised with your TUI Rep in resort
Companions (who are not taking part) must pay Xelhá entrance fee and transfer
Government-mandated tax: A fee of $50.00 MXN per person (including children) will be collected at check-in, in accordance with Article 60 of the Tax on Activities with Aquatic Animals
Please arrive 30 minutes before your activity and bring swimwear
People not participating in the activity may stay in designated areas - for safety reasons, these areas are separate from the wet areas
For safety reasons and to avoid distracting the dolphins, visitors, and keepers, access with cameras, cell phones, or any audiovisual equipment is not allowed in the wet areas
Companion who would like to join the park Xel-Ha while their friend or family member participate the dolphin trainer program have the option to book a transfer and entrance only to Xel-Ha park
This offer adheres to our rigorous animal welfare standards related to cetaceans, which have been developed in collaboration with independent animal welfare scientists. These criteria are continually updated based on the latest scientific research and international standards. They focus on enhancing cetacean wellbeing by promoting natural and social behaviours, ensuring specialised veterinary care, encouraging the animals' autonomy within their environment, and supporting education and conservation efforts
Not suitable for guests with cardiac or respiratory problems
Not suitable for expectant mothers or guests with back problems
Not suitable for guests who can't swim
Bring money for extras or gratuities
Children must be supervised by an adult (over 18 years) at all time
Height, weight and/or age restrictions may apply

The trainers were very helpful and excellent at explaining all the aspects of the dolphins care. And the dolphins are amazing. The photo packages are exorbitant, but i could haggle the price down to an acceptable price.

Helt fantastisk. Supertrevliga mexikanska guider som pedagogiskt förklarade hur allt fungerar. Man fick lära sig allt om delfiner. Från skötsel till träning. Sen fick man vara med och träna dem. Magiskt
