One of Tenerife's first Spanish settlements, Taganana is also one of the most remote villages on the island. On this trip, it's just one of three scenery-packed locations you'll visit, alongside Anaga Country Park. Jonay, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Anaga Country Park is unique, and it's been listed by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve. It's home to one of the last primeval laurel forests in the world. This mystical forest, known as Laurisilva, is characterized by ancient laurel trees, ferns, mosses, and other endemic plant species.'In maximum groups of just 30 passengers per trip, you'll travel in a fleet of minibuses to discover hidden Tenerife in style. Up until the 60s, the fishing village of Taganana, where sugarcube house cascade down towards the ocean, was only accessible on foot or by boat. These days, a winding coastal road connects it to the rest of the island. We'll continue up the coastal road towards the whitewashed village of Taganana and an optional lunch of regional delicacies in an authentic, traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, you'll drive through the mountains to the Anaga Country Park with its deep ravines and forests, a landscape that has remained almost unchanged since the Iron Age. Jonay adds, ‘Anaga's ancient forests are a haven for rare flora and fauna such as the Tenerife blue chaffinch and Bolle's pigeon. There are several species unique to the island.

Unser Guide Ralf war super, sehr sympathisch, humorvoll, hat nicht zuviel und nicht zu wenig erzählt. Ich hätte mir nur gewünscht, den Lorbeerwald zu begehen, um die Klimaunterschiede wahrzunehmen

Wir haben hier eine interessante Tour erwartet, welche uns schöne Einblicke in die typischen Dörfer auf der Insel gibt. Leider war schon der erste Stop eine Enttäuschung, da noch nichts besuchbar war. Lediglich der Blick auf die Architektur der Musikhalle war recht schön. Die Fahrt hinauf in die Berge und durch den "Regenwald" war wirklich schön. Das Essen zum Mittag war Touriabfertigung, hat geschmeckt war aber recht lieblos und eher eine Absteige als ein Restaurant.

De excursie naar Tagana is erg tegengevallen. We vertrokken vanaf ons hotel om 08.20. Op de verzamelplaats van de busjes was het al bekend dat er een groot ongeluk op de snelweg was gebeurd. De chauffeurs hadden het erover om een andere route te zoeken ivm de te verwachten vertraging. Die was er niet dus ze gingen de snelweg op. We hebben 4 uur in de ochtend in de bus gezeten (ruim 2 uur stilstand). Ochtend programma totaal overgeslagen.

Tour was more a drive around with a few, short stops than being a trip with lots of content. Candelaria stop was Ok, Las Teresitas for 30 min made not much sense as you can not take a dip. The drive through Anaga had some amazing views. The biggest misses for us: 1. no walk in Anaga forest, we just stopped at a viewpoint for taking photo. 2. The lunch and the restaurant were very basic in Taganana, it was not really local cuisine. Lastly, 1H is too short for La Laguna. Driver gave a lot info.

Der Ausflug war sehr gut organisiert. Nur war das Restaurant in dem Mittagessen durchgeführt wurde sehr runtergekommen. Man hatte Auswahl zwischen Fisch und Schweinefille. Das Schweinefille war sehr hart. Da wir ein Kind dabei hatten, hätten wir uns gewünscht, dass für Kind anderes Gericht zur Auswahl gegeben hätte.

Der Ausflug war top organisiert und durchgeführt. Kompetenter Reiseleiter, sichere Fahrer. Das einzig ein bisschen anstrengende war die Übertragung von Auto zu Auto durch die Walkie talkis.

1e onderdeel van de trip, bezoek aan Candelaria verviel. Rechtstreeks door naar een parkeerplaats bij Santa Cruz de Tenerife, waar niets te doen was en we te weinig tijd hadden om iets te ondernemen. Daarna een rit naar een lokaal zandstrand waar wederom weinig tijd was en niets te ondernemen viel. De tocht door Anagagebergte was ruw, passagiers stonden angsten uit. Zeer povere en slechte lunch, armoedige locatie. San Christobal leuk maar weinig tijd gekregen. Chauffeur vooral vol van zichzelf.

Wir waren mit 2 Neunsitzer Ford Turneo unterwegs, dir Fahrzeuge waren in Ordnung. Unser Guide war per Funk mit unserem Fahrzeug verbunden, die Verständigung war teilweise nicht vorhanden, die Funkverbindung brach immer wieder ab. Unser Fahrer sprach so gut wie nichts. Viel fahren, ein bisschen erfahren, wenig sehen. Fazit: Besorgt euch Inselinfos, nehmt euch einen Mietwagen und erkundet selber. Zu Viert kommt ihr mit einem Mietwagen finanziell besser weg.

Der Guide Ralph war einfach spitze und hat mit viel Humor und enormen Wissen viele interessante Geschichten erzählt und war immer freundlich. Ich hätte mir allerdings etwas mehr Zeit in La Laguna gewünscht und dafür die Zeit am Strand in Santa Cruz lieber dafür gehabt. Aber auf jeden Fall eine absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Ich gebe hier Anregungen für eine Verbesserung: Beim Halt in Anaga ist man sich selbst überlassen für eine Stunde, besser : Stadtrundgang mit dem Guide und Besuch des Marktes o.ä.. Mittagessen - deutliches Verbesserungspotential oder ganz weglassen, das ist mangelhaft. Für unseren Geschmack würde eine Verkostung (Wein o.ä.) besser passen. Teide - Tour war gut, diese empfehle ich nicht weiter, sorry.

Man fik set en masse forskellige ting undervejs og især besøget i Anaga området er turen værd. Også besøget i La Laguna var fint. Jeg havde bestilt turen med en engelsk talende guide. Det viste sig at guiden skulle servicere både de engelsk talende og de tysk talende, så man fik det samme fortalt på 2 sprog. Lidt rigeligt. Det trak i hvertfald lidt ned. Men søde guider.

Leuk: Taganana met de beukende golven tegen de rotsen. Leuk: De basiliek in Candelaria. Echter ons was niet verteld dat het plein open lag en de de 9 ganchibeelden daarom weggehaald waren. Heel jammer. In het busje was weinig te zien van de prachtige omgeving omdat we achterin zaten en er bovendien een fors persoon op de voorste bank zat die ook het uitzicht belemmerde.

Gute Rundfahrt im Kleinbus, kompetente Betreuung, La Laguna unbedingt sehenswert, gerne mit mehr Zeit. Mittagessen war ordentlich, ok. Insgesamt sitzt man viel im Bus, lange Fahrtstrecken. Der Calima hat uns leider die Sicht beeinträchtigt, dafür könnt ihr aber nichts, ist eben ein Phänomen der Insel.

der Guide Ralph war super, die Tour selber etwas zu voll und damit nur mit kurzen Stopps . Der Stopp am Strand eher unnötig , da es zu kurz zum Baden ist. Die Zeit die an anderer Stelle besser gewesen wäre. Ein Kritikpunkt das Essen. Sorry aber das Restaurant mit blauer Plane an der Decke und dem Charme von einer großen Gartenlaube . Wie heißt es, sie waren bemüht.

Jose the driver/guide was excellent, friendly, have lots Of useful information It would have been even better if his 8 seater vehicle had microphone system as we at the back couldn’t always hear what was being said. Places we visited were interesting particularly La Laguna where church was being prepared for Easter with tableaux flowers being set up. Lineal was disappointing mainly because soup was cold as were potatoes We could have done with paperwork explaining where we were going to see

Sehr gut gefallen hat uns die Landschaft im Anagagebirge. Auch sehr gut gefallen hat uns La Laguna und der Strand von Santa Cruz. Nicht so gut gefallen hat uns die zeitliche Aufteilung des Erlebnisses. Es wurde leider zu viel Zeit bei einem wirklich sehr schlechten Mittagessen vergeudet. Es wäre besser gewesen die Stunde als Aufenthalt in La Laguna zu verbringrn. Der Fahrer war sehr freundlich und hat geschichtliches Wissen weitergegeben, jedoch hätten wir gerne mehr über die Insel erfahren.

Little point going to Candelaria or the man made beach. Lunch was not very good. Guide and driving were good and they made the best of the weather. A longer time in the actual park would have made the trip much better. Longer in La Laguna as well.

Diese Tour ist auf jeden Fall sehenswert!. Der Reiseleiter überzeugt mit sehr viel Wissen über Land und Leute und der Geschichte von Te neriffa. Auch wurden Plätze gezeigt, die der Gast auf einer eigenen Tour nicht sehen würde.

Aufenthaltsdauer in La Laguna zu kurz. Mittagessen: Speisen kalt, Fleisch sehr hart und zäh. Bei der Buchung wurde der Eindruck erweckt dass man auch einen Aufenthalt im country Park haben wird.Leider sind wir ja nur mit dem Bus an einen Wald vorbei gefahren. Um 15:30 waren wir wieder am Heimweg. Die meiste Zeit wurde wegen Stau im Bus verbracht...Hatten uns um das Geld mehr erhofft

Our driver was excellent and drove extremely well. Lunch was not particularly good or enjoyable-soup stone cold, main course (fish) ok but very salty but that may be the traditional dish-desert was the high point! We enjoyed La Laguna very much and driving through the mountains and park was beautiful. The church at Candelaria was interesting. Would have preferred more time in La Laguna and to have skipped the beach at Santa Cruz.

The minibus never turned up. We waited an hour. We finally got through to TUI in London, not an easy experience. The tour guide lied and said we hadn't been at the bus stop. We had been there 60 minutes including being 20 minutes early. Horrible experience. Getting up at 0630 am on the first day of our holiday only for the trip to not even turn up. Will never book another excursion with TUI. Still waiting for our £160 back

The drivers were friendly and informative but were not licensed to come with us We were therefore dropped off in old town without any knowledge of what we should be looking for and not enough time to get anywhere We then drove through the forest where the views were completely obscured by clouds and dropped off to make our way through the rain to see a couple of beaches for 20 minutes only The lunch was served at top speed It was more than £70 each Nice people but poor value for money

We booked an English only tour. We were the only English people on the 8 seater minibus. The German was translated into English but communication was sparse between guests, especially at the rather average lunch (Nice view though! ) The back row of the bus had trouble hearing the commentary. The stops were interesting. The staff were professional and friendly and excellent drivers. The minibus was comfortable. We would have preferred less stops and longer at the Basilica and La Laguna.

Mysigt med mindre bussar men jobbigt med 2 språklig guide. Föredrar guide med bara engelska. Vi hade en jättetrevlig chaufför i vår minibuss och guiden var också duktig och kunnig men som sagt jobbigt med 2 språk ??

Tour was advertised with English guide, but instead we got a German guide who said he could not translate everything into English. NO guided tour of La Laguna, guide directed us across the road and we were left to wander ourselves. Our small bus ended up being part of a convoy where the guide talk was relayed into our bus by walkie talkie. About 70% of the German was translated to English. Positives, the scenery was awesome, our bus driver was friendly and the bus was clean.

Zeer mooie excursie. Zeer goede gids (engels talig). Veel bij geleerd over het eiland. Ik begrijp dat op sommige plaatsen weinig parking is, maar iets meer stop plaatsen met meer tijd was top 10. Maar ik zou het zeker opnieuw doen. Een echte aanrader.

Overall a really good trip. Ivan our guide was fantastic. Great funny character with excellent knowledge of Tenerife and good driving skills. Loved the trip and all the viewpoints and stops. I do echo the other reviews regarding Tui and their allocation of timings. More time is needed in La Laguna and for exploring a bit more in the Anaga mountains. Lunch was ok not going to complain like some others it said it would be traditional and not fine dining, it was all edible and you had a great view.

Die Tour ist natürlich vom Wetter abhängig und wir hatten das Pech das oben alles in den Wolken lag, durch die Passatwinde könnten wir die Aussicht nicht genießen. Aber trotzdem war die Tour sehr schön und sehenswert.

De gids / chauffeur was erg enthousiast en wist enorm veel van het eiland in detail te vertellen. We hebben veel gezien en meegemaakt. De dag ging te snel voorbij en was goed voorbereid. Je moet qua weersomstandigheden wat geluk hebben en dat hadden we gelukkig. Heerlijk op de berg in de wolken staan en vervolgens klaarde het op waarna we honderden kilometers ver weg konden kijken. Lokaal eten geproefd wat ook goed bevallen is. Kortom; een aanrader!

The guide was very good, professional and friendly. He told a lot about history, culture, geography of island, food and habits of local people; and answered all our questions. He was very friendly, polite, treating everybody with respect, with good sense of humour! The food was included in price, that was good; the food was quite ok. We were not so lucky with weather on top of mountains, but it didn't spoil our experience anyhow. We still enjoyed the tour.

We werden een uur te laat opgehaald doordat de chauffeur ziek was. We kregen een chauffeur Ivan die eigenlijk vrij was. Maar we hadden geen Betere Chauffeur kunnen hebben SUPER!!

The tour was very good Last stop was a little off as most shops closed as siesta and little else to do so felt like a stop gap Lunch let it down - food was poor, cafe looked grubby as did server. Toilets whilst clean were broken - one had no seat and other cistern was broken very basic

Enjoyed Trip to Candalaria and the next stop at the beach. The mountain views were good but spent too much time there and not enough time in other places. We were told that it was a mini bus trip but a Volkswagen van turned up with three rows of seats - 9 people were squashed in like sardines. Access to the rear seats was not practical. We were NOT able to hear the drivers commentary and do not think he should have been talking as well as driving on such mountainous roads. Not recommendable...

Gids Ivan was top, hij vertelde veel en was erg vrolijk. Het uitzicht onderweg was ook prachtig en de inbegrepen lunch erg lekker. De stops vonden wij niet allemaal interessant. Het is wel leuk om het noorden te zien als je in het zuiden verblijft, maar wij hadden wel het idee dat er leukere tours bestaan.

The Spanish driver/guide Ivan/Ivor was excellent,he was friendly and was extremely knowledgeable,he made the day fun and enjoyable for his passengers. It could only have been improved by having perhaps 1 less stop or shorter stops at the beach and viewpoints to give us more time at the 2 towns we visited as it didn’t really allow time to fully appreciate them. Enjoyed the scenery and stunning landscape/views. The lunch was average,very hot in the restaurant though the view of the ocean was nice.

Trip in een 9-persoons busje en keurig op tijd! Leuke chauffeur Iwan en reisleidster was de Tui rep Maria Paz en zij deed het ontzettend goed! Veel leuke stops die de moeite waren en overal tijd genoeg wat ons betreft. Prachtige tocht door het Agana park en goede lunch op een fantastische plek! Een must see deze omgeving dus wij bevelen deze excursie zeker aan! Onze kinderen zijn 9 en 11 en vonden het ook super!

Für das Wetter kann keiner etwas. Aber trotz der Regeneinschränkungen hat der Guide es geschafft eine interessante Tour zu gestalten. Vielleicht wäre es möglich bei einigen längeren Fahrabschnitten im Norden noch mal nen kurzen Fotostopp einzufügen. Negativ war, dass keine 20 Stunden vor dem Start die gebuchte Sprache von deutsch auf englisch geändert wurde. Insbesondere obwohl trotzdem mindestens eine handvoll deutschsprachiger Personen teilgenommen hat.

Die Haltepunkte waren teilweise zu kurz. Bei den Haltepunkten und beim Mittagessen ist die Reiseleiterin nicht bei der Gruppe geblieben. Infos waren teilweise nur rudimentär. Z. B. La Laguna. Alles was gesagt wurde ist, das die Museen seit Corona geschlossen ist, der Dom Eintritt kostet und man 4 Tage über La Laguna reden könnte.

Christina hat viel interessantes erzählt. Sichere Fahrerin. Das Essen ist eine schnelle Abfertigung. Bei dem Weg ins Anaga wusste man allerdings nicht, ob man dem Weg (1,1 km) in der vorgegeben Zeit vonn20-25 schafft um runter zu gehen und wieder hoch .

This was Tenerife Villages and Anaga, not the tour shown above. We should have been told this was a minibus and not a coach tour. Although in English the guide was Spanish, we had 4 Germans, 4 Polish and 4 English. The guide was very amusing and informative but his accent was rather strong. The road noise in the back of the minibus was loud and we couldn't hear the guide at all well. Fortunately we were able to transfer to the front and then had a great time. The scenery was stunning all day.

Dieser Ausflug ist aufgrund der vielen sehenswerten Stopps überaus empfehlenswert. Sehr enttäuscht waren wir vom Mittagessen. Hier würden wir TUI unbedingt empfehlen Änderungen bezüglich des Restaurants vorzunehmen. Wir kamen uns wie in einer schlechten Kantine vor. Die Mehrheit der Teilnehmer waren dieser Meinung.

Eine tolle Tour durch die Berge des Anaga Gebirges mit atemberaubenden Ausblicken. Die Tour fand in einem Kleinbus statt, der mit 8 Personen schon etwas eng war. Aber unser Tourguide José sorgte schnell dafür, dass wir das gar nicht mehr merkten. Er erzählte so interessante und spannende Fakten über Teneriffa und das Anaga Gebirge, so dass die Tour nicht eine Sekunde langweilig war.

Da der Wetterbericht am 16.10. Regen angesagt hatte, hätte ich erwartet, dass die Tour von Seiten Tuis oder Tara Tours abgesagt würde. Wir fuhren im Anagagebirge nur im Nebel und Regen, hatten keinerlei Sicht in die Täler. Die Nebelwolken zogen sich bis Taganana herunter. Auch der Fahrer sagte, dass er so etwas noch nicht erlebt habe. Dieser Ausflug war purer Frust, der noch mit einem unnötigen Stop am Teresitastrand mit Blick auf 2 NLG-Tanker gekrönt wurde statt mehr Zeit in la Laguna zu haben.

Le transport en minivan est tres bien . Notre guide excellent. La reserve d’Anaga est exceptionnelle . Etonnant meme pour une ile « seche ». La fin de la visite avec la visite de de la plage ne nous a pas plu. Rien d’interresant en fait .
