The Brenta Dolomites steal the show on this day trip – think sawtooth peaks, dramatic alpine scenery and a real sense of escape. You'll spend time soaking up the scenery around Lake Molveno, where nature puts on a seriously impressive display. Johann, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘This whole area is like a postcard come to life. The Brenta Dolomites are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and what better place for a swim than Lake Molveno, where the water comes directly from the Presena glacier.'First up, you'll stop by a local bee farm, where you'll learn all about the buzzing world of the apiary from the beekeeper. Watch the bees at work, then try three different varieties of honey, each with its own distinct flavour. Then it's on to Lake Molveno – a turquoise beauty nestled at the base of the dramatic Dolomites. It's one of Italy's best lakes for swimming with the cleanest, clearest water. You'll have free time to explore – a swim, a kayak or pedalo adventure, or a ride up the cable car for jaw-dropping Dolomites views. Or simply stroll the lakeside paths and settle in for lunch in the pretty town.To round things off, we'll visit the Marzadro Distillery, a family-run spot known for its quality spirits. You'll tour the facility, hear how traditional liqueurs are made, then try a few for yourself – from limoncello and grappa to local cream liqueurs and gin. You'll also get to taste some of the region's standout olive oil, offering a real flavour of Trentino.

We enjoyed our day immensely. Lake Molveno was beautiful and our stop at the honey tasting was informative and educational. The grappa etc tasting was also a firm favourite. Who knew you could get so much flavoured alcohol. An excellent day out.

For me the trip was too long and exhausting. I could have done without the bee/honey stop and the distillery stop and get back earlier. The rest of the trip was good.

We were disappointed not to have seen what we were told we would in that we would see the Bees at work with the Beekeeper they said as a little wet the bees would not be able to be seen as when they get wet the die...Surely we could have seen them under cover ?

Overall it was pretty good but i think i would have preferred a wine tasting instead of the grappa tasting. .Having said that the place was very good and very professional and the history of the place was very interesting!

This trip was really great. Fantastic places to visit. Lake Molveno was superb, and the honey tasting informative and fun. The guide was very knowledgeable and witty, and seemed to be having a great time too. I was amazed at how generous the Grappa distillery were - you could try as many samples you wanted of everything. This was a full day, and excellent value tor money- the locations were just right. Guide - superb!

Visit to bee keeper was excellent. Countryside was lovely and driver was excellent. Lake Tenno was beautiful. The trip was let down by the trip to the grappa distillery. 90% of the narration was inaudible even for the short time she used a microphone. The grappa tasting was totally chaotic to such an extent that we did not get to taste the grappa and certainly didn’t hear the descriptions. She described about 10 drinks. all at once. Impossible to hear and/or remember.

You reference a trip on the cable car payable locally, only to be told when we arrived that we would not have enough time to use the cable car. Personally I believe more time was needed in the main village of Molveno. It was a bit of a waste of time stopping at a smaller lake on the way. The honey and distillery stops were interesting and supported local businesses.

We hadn’t been told that a shuttle bus would be picking us up from Garda to take us to the main bus in Torbole, but this was a minor thing. Overall, the guide and driver were both excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area overall and the tour in general. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to see more of this part of Italy.

We absolutely loved this excursion from start to finish! We began with a short stop at Lake Tenno, a beautiful quiet lake near to Lake Garda. We spent 2 hours at Lake Molveno which was magical! We decided to do a self drive boat on the lake for an hour but we could have spent hours exploring here. The honey tasting and liquor experience were interesting and a fun aspect to our trip! We would definitely recommend this excursion.

Really enjoyed bees and honey tasting. Too much free time allowed at both lakes. Disappointed not to have been informed earlier that liqueur tasting was not available and was replaced by wine and oil tasting. We had already been on a wine and oil tasting tour a few days before so didn’t find this enjoyable. A partial refund would have been appreciated. Disappointed with length of tour. Advertised as 4-8 hour trip. Start time 8 am and didn’t return to hotel until 6 pm - not due to traffic.

Relaxing day, several stops which was good so we were not travelling all the time. Honey tasting was lovely and great views across the mountains. Olive oil and wine tasting was amazing, so much to try, and it was great to see the process of wine making in action while we were there. All in all a very enjoyable day especially relaxing at Molveno Lake for lunch.

Didn’t enjoy lake molveno. Very touristy. Nothing to see/do. Restaurant we went to had extremely bad service and there wasn’t much choice of restaurants nearby. Disappointed

There wasn't really enough time to enjoy the lakes - only 30 mins at the first one and then maybe 90 mins at Molveno - I would have much preferred to reduce the time spent on honey-tasing and liquor tasting to spend more time at the lakes which is the main feature of the trip!

Molveno was beautiful and two hours to swim and eat was great. The coach trip through the mountains was breath taking. Honey farm and grappa interesting. Lovely guide lots of knowledge, really made the journey fly.

Excellent tour with good regular stops. Good amount of time at each of the places. The guide was very friendly, clear and informative. The driver very good, calm and assured around all the twisty roads.

All aspects were great it was well planned with short spells on the bus great guide and safe confident driver bruno. It rained for the lake visit itself but thats to be expected in the mountains. Small group which was great not sure if that was planned or happened as no more booked as it is fairly expensive trip. Liquour tour fab great tasting time lots on offer not stingy like some previous tours beehive visit lively and so informative would recomend also great to have cooler mountain weather

Fredrico, the guide made the trip very memorable, he is brilliant, knowledgeable, funny and kept folk engaged throughout. The bee keeper stop was very interesting and definitely worth a visit. We were abit disappointed with the time available at lake Molveno and felt as this was the highlight of the trip we should have spent at least 2.5 hours there not 90 minutes (which included lunch). The distillery tour was ok , Fredrico again gave it some VA VA Vroom with his banter and measures of alcohol.

Overall the trip was good. The lake & surrounding scenery is beautiful. The honey farm was interesting & set in beautiful countryside. We didn’t enjoy the Liquor tasting. The tasting itself was enjoyable, but the factory tour was far too long & boring. The biggest problem was the bus, this was far too small & uncomfortable for such a long journey. The space between seats is very cramped. The Air Conditioning system was intermittent & frequently made a squealing sound.

Loved all the experiences , the beekeeper talk and deminstration was so enjoyable with Fredrick the guide and the beekeeper presenting so well together. The liquor section was again , enjoyable and informative. Fredrick made the day so entertaining , such an immense amount of knowledge of the area and an infectios passion for his job.

Felt a little like we were brought to see the bees and spend ££ in his shop. A better experience would have been perhaps a map of his fields where the bees were , how far they roamed . Perhaps a cup of coffee and a very small slice of ? Honey cake. A long way for a small experience

All good. Grappa lady was excellent. Very informative.Top quality in the way of the building and presentation. Frederick ,the tour guide for the day, was also unique and excellent - a complete joy to be with.The generosity with the sample tasting was really good. No complaints.

Loved: Lake Molveno is stunning one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. The apiarist was great and the talk on the bees was very interesting. Our guide was brilliant (Frederick Christian) his knowledge of the local area and his tales were outstanding. The distillery was interesting and the tasting was generous. There was nothing we didn’t like, however the day is long (especially for those who are picked up first) which you just need to be aware of, we were out about 10 hrs

The trip ran very smoothly. The pick up was on time, the coach was extremely clean, the driver (Suade) was superb and Frederick was a dream; he was very knowledgeable, extremely engaging and personable. The beekeeping section was really interesting, we enjoyed tasting the three types of honey and his honey shop was to die for and not expensive. Lake Molveno was absolutely beautiful and the swim a bonus. The distillery was another interesting and enjoyable end to an awesome day out!

There was a good mix of stops from the lakes to the bee keeping and the visit to the Grappa distillery. We weren't on the bus all day either as everything was relatively close by and the trip wasn't overly long. The guide was informative and entertaining!

The whole trip was excellent. The stops were varied (bees, grappa, lake, pause for coffee while watching rock climbers) and the distances between were short enough not to be on the bus for long periods of time. As there were only 14 on the trip, we had a mini bus. This was a little cramped, but was probably more versatile than a coach in getting around places. Maybe 2 hours 20 minutes was a little long at Molveno, this could have been shortened slightly, but it didn't spoil anything.

The experience overall was really good and interesting. Driver and guide very good. The views when we stopped at the lake were fantastic. One thing that would have improved it would be to have been in a coach or larger mini bus. We could not see the views from inside the small mini bus. It was also full which made it quite cramped.

We really had a fantastic day, a great range of visits from lakes, to the bee farm n and the grappa distillery. The honey tasting was brilliant with talk about the bees and the different honeys. The distillery tour was also really great and lots of things to taste not just grappa. The time to walk about near the lakes were breathtaking with wonderful views. Francesco our guide was so knowledgeable and funny with lots of tips.
