Une excursion qui vous permettra non seulement de profiter de la nature et de la cuisine de la Grèce, mais aussi d'apporter quelque chose en retour à l'île de Skiathos. Parmi les points forts, on peut citer la visite du refuge pour chiens de l'île, une promenade guidée dans les collines et une démonstration de cuisine grecque par un villageois d'Agia Paraskevi.Pour débuter la journée, vous visiterez le fameux refuge pour chiens de Skiathos, situé dans les collines au-dessus de Troulos. Vous passerez du temps avec eux au refuge, puis rejoindrez notre guide Victoria avec l'un des chiens, pour une promenade d'une heure à travers les collines. Votre deuxième rendez-vous est avec Maria, qui s'occupera de vous à Agia Paraskevi. Maria est née et a grandi à Skiathos, elle est de plus passionnée par la cuisine. Toutes les recettes des plats confectionnés lui ont été transmises par les générations précédentes.Une fois le repas prêt, vous pourrez profiter d'un savoureux festin traditionnel grec. Le déjeuner sera accompagné de vin, de boissons gazeuses et d'eau.

Guide, Michael was charming, funny and added to a soecial day. Very well organised at the dog shelter, lot's of effort made to manage the dog's welfare. Maria's cookery demonstration was very well delivered and interesting to try tradtional Greek dishes.

Please please visit the dog shelter in Skiathos and see the amazing care they do for these beautiful animals, including the amazing volunteers. Also, please donate as they rely on donations. It was a wholesome day spent. Also afterwards at the sit down meal learning traditional Greek dish’s was amazing. The food tasted AMAZING and definitely one of my favourite meals during the whole trip! Definitely recommend this trip.

A great day. I was feeling a bit septical about the dogs being a tourist trip but all was good. The dogs were wagging their tails and excited to go on their walk. The staff and volunteers who care for them were clearly passionate about the dog's care and welfare. Please take some cash to buy something from their shop to promote their cause and help fund. The cooking experience was really interesting even though cooking not my thing ! The food was delicious..

Great experience taking the dogs for a little walk and seeing how they're looked after, the conditions were good and that was nice to see. The cooking experience was very enjoyable and informative a very nice lady as well, and the food was good too.

We asked your rep how much of the cost of this trip went to the dog shelter and was told Euro35. This is untrue, the dog shelter only receives 5 euro, we are very unhappy about the fact that we were lied to. All the very hard work those volunteers do and they rely on donations and it's appalling that a rich global company cannot pay a decent sum for this trip.

Really enjoyed this tour which combined the dog shelter where in pairs we were able to take one of the rescue dogs on a walk for around 30 minutes in a nice spot in the hills. Then we went to a nice restaurant in a very tranquil location with good food and a cookery demonstration of 4 Greek dishes.

A bit longer walking the dogs, we only got about 20 minutes, I know it was quite hot but another 10 to 14 minutes would have been better, apart from that it was a great trip, Mike our guide was very knowledgeable and funny at the same time, the people at the dog shelter were great and we got to meet the puppies after the walk. The Greek cooking demo with Maria was excellent and the food she served us for lunch was lovely, highly recommended

Michael our guide was lovely & friendly. I loved the dog shelter & walking Kiki. Maria gave a fabulous demonstration & shared her journey on becoming a chef, providing for her family, her cooking menus & what fsmily means to her. The lunch was wonderful.

The guide was excellent - the shelter itself well run and organised with friendly people - the dogs are obviously very well looked after and then we had a really lovely meal at the end - we couldn’t fault it

Cookery demo and food amazing. Fresh salad, bread, feta pastry triangles, stuffed peppers and tomatoes and Greek yoghurt with preserved syrupy carrot topping (sounds strange but lovely). Bottle of water plus choice of wine, beer or soft drink. So much food. Very informative cooking demo from Maria. TUI guide very friendly too (Michael). Dog walk was good too - quite short but so it should be in this heat. Would recommend this excursion.

We were travelling as a family of 5 from the ages of 12 to 57 and everyone had the most amazing day. From being picked up our guide Michael was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The dog walk was fabulous we all enjoyed our visit to the sanctuary. Maria’s cookery class was superb as was the food served afterwards. An all round great experience for everyone, thoroughly recommend.

The trip lasted 6 hrs in total you need to give exact timings not just say it’s 1/2 a day , also no toilets at the dog sanctuary customers need to be informed of this , Maria gave an excellent cookery demonstration and Micheal the guide was entertaining !! And overall we had a good day , !!

Loved the dog rescue Sorry to say the walk from the coach to the cookery demonstration was very difficult as I have mobility issues, it was 15mins in the mid day sun! I was given a lift back by the lovely Marie’s son. The demonstration was really good and her food gorgeous.

Would have been nicer to walk the dogs a little longer or taken another one out. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Cooking experience and lunch were very interesting and tasty, fantastic setting too. The guide, Michael, was an absolute gem. He kept everyone entertained and was very funny and extremely nice.

Our transfer was late picking us up however the guide was apologetic about this. He was very informative and funny. The dog shelter was amazing, the staff are very professional and the dogs are very well looked after. Lunch at Maria's was lovely and we really enjoyed being shown how to make certain dishes. My only criticism was the dog walk was a bit short however we have a dog and are used to long walks so this is just personal preference as the walk needs to suit the dogs and all customers

The experience was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The dogs were gorgeous. Everything was so well organised. The lunch afterwards was delicious. It was fascinating watching how it was prepared. The best day of our holiday!

Trip to the dog shelter was a lovely experience but it should be made clear that a reasonable level of mobility is needed for both the dog walk and further walk from the bus to the restaurant. The cooking demo and lunch was well done, generous portions of food and drink and enjoyed mixing with other guests

Good to see how well looked after the dogs are & nice to be able to walk them on a shady path. The lunch part of the day was excellent, Maria is very knowledgeable & her Joy for cooking shines through. We are already plannng to cook some of the dishes. A fantastic lunch in lovely surroundings, highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the Dogs and I did walk one of the little ones but when we arrived it was quite hot and he didn’t want to walk we should gone the first time in the morning we didn’t get there until quite late in the morning the floor would have quite hot for ther feet and we should have

Walking my little dog Rodney with the other dogs was a lovely experience. Taking up supplies is a must. Also things for sale there which helps all the dogs that they rescue. The cooking demonstration was brilliant with Maria and delicious meal after. I will definitely visit again.

One of the best excursions we have ever done! It was wonderful to be able to spend time with the dogs and felt like we were giving something back. We were able to stop off at the shop to pick up supplies & donations beforehand (side note Tui can provide you an extra 10kg’s charity luggage allowance)

A trip of 2 parts, both really good. Dog sanctuary was great. Not much of a walk, it was too hot for the dogs but lots of time spent with them & learning about the shelter. Cooking demo was our favourite bit. We stayed at Maria's hotel so already knew what a fantastic cook she is but we both loved watching her do her thing and all the stories behind the recipes. Has made me think about what we eat & why, & we're trying to eat 'more Maria' now we're back. Efkharisto, Maria!

All the staff were friendly from Jayne the rep on the tour to the Dog sanctuary and Maria at the Calma restaurant. The food was amazing and enjoyed the demonstration. A really lovely relaxed day and would do it again. We have recommended it to guests at our Hotel

As a dog lover it was lovely to be able to walk a dog. I also enjoyed the journey into the high hills away from the coast. Maria's cooking demonstration and the food she produced were also wonderful, and a great way to end the excursion

We loved everything. Amazing value for money. The dog shelter was emotional but interesting and great to give something back. The food part was unreal and Maria was very informative and lovely. Overall a great day out and not one to miss. Our Tui guide was also fantastic.

Lovely experience but we didn’t quite get a walk through the hills of Troulos - 20 minutes down a dusty road would be a better description! We only walked the dogs for 20 minutes- we expected longer.

Thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. You do need to be quite strong and fit for walking the dogs-not so good if you have walking difficulties as it is on quite a steep hill and the dogs can pull quite hard. Ours certainly did but they all loved being out and after the walk we got to cuddle the puppies.The food demonstration and lunch was fantastic. The lady who gave demonstration was so enthusiastic and really enjoyed showing us her skills & the food was delicious. A very enjoyable few hours.

The trip started at 10.25 which by the time we got to the dog shelter which was too hot to take the dogs for a longer than 30 minute walk. The coach also had poor air conditioning! The lunch and Marie’s cooking lesson skills were excellent and we purchased her recipe book which she kindly signed for us !

We travel to Skiathos, what a beautiful island!! We had the most amazing time, the hotel was very basic but just what we needed as we were out and about most of the time. Very clean. The tui lady that greeted us on arrival was very friendly and helpful in guide us to the right bus etc for our transfer. And again on arrival at the airport to travel home. As were the reps on the trips that we did during our holiday. Jane in particular on the dog shelter trip. The only problem we many had regarding reps/tui etc was at our hotel. We understand covid still been an slight issue but we never saw anyone at the hotel and the tui notice board didnt have information at points. For example, regarding our transfer times for travelling home or were the pick up point was for trips. We had a couple questions and asked the lady who was running the hotel, she tried her upmost but with little English it was difficult for her and she had to call someone to help. Luckily we did have working phones at the app gave us more information but for an older couple staying in the same hotel this was very difficult for them and not something they had access too
